bzbee: Sis that's in Manila Pen acdg to my coordinator. I havent inquired directly though. 10k lang in Makati Shang? Sayang di ako pwede doon because doon na 1st wedding ko.

I will try to negotiate crew meals hahaha But as of the moment nasa 30K na my crew meal expense computation. I was thinking, there is always extra food in a buffet. Di ba pwede yung crew to get food from buffet nalang?? Pero its magulo and not nice kasi in a formal gathering to see crew get food from main buffet especially if they need to eat ahead. ALSO, ayaw ko sana buffet. we are doing sit down dinner...but if I will save on crew meals by making them singit in the buffet, I am willing to switch to buffet setup.

^ sis i inquired before sa manila pen, they dont allow daw pictorials if you're not having the reception there. we cant even pay even if we wanted to. that is according to the AE we talked to ha. in raffles and fairmont 5k only. yan yung mga pinagpipilian namin for preps sa makati area.

Thanks sis bzbee for sharing your info. I guess I will have to really check. OK daw Fairmont hotel and no need pa nga ata to pay for pictures because they arent strict even with food daw. But the lobby isnt as grand. I am thinking also of New World Hotel, OR simply having preps done here in my house.

My only problem doing it at home is that we do not have aircon in the living room and my wedding is summer. Hahaha but for that kind of money, I would rather buy a new aircon for our living room- and we get to keep the aircon pa hhahaha Plus its also nice to have preps at home since the place is special to me. PLUS I will really really get to save money on even the crew meals for lunch, I can have a whole crew buffet spread here hahhaa Ill just limit access to downstairs area so that my family can still have privacy upstairs during preps.

our wedding budget is 200k. pwede siya magexceed pero hanggang 20k lang..
ang important sa wedding is yung purpose ng event: celebrate your love, you have your own defenition to it. dapat both parties mag-agree dito, it will be a test sa relationship ninyo as husband and wife.
Di naman kaylangan sobrang engrande.. what i mean sa engrande siguro is yung magkaron ka ng wedding budget that is more than your means.. so ang mangyayari after wedding may mga utang ka pa dapat bayaran?.. heheh.. hindi magandang simula yun di ba?.. so wag mong ipressure si groom mo.. kung hanggan saan lang dapat ang kaya, super okay na yun.. remember, hindi lahat ng babae ay may chance magkaroon ng KASAL.

hi chili1113, i'm able to do it because the catering per head for my wedding is so much lower since it's in the province food in manila is so much more expensive. i remember taking my friends from the luzon around my hometown and they marvelled at how cheap and good the food was. we have gourmet restos at half the price in manila.

Gosh, I didn't even think about crew meals. It's not included in any of my vendor contracts except for my photographer -- I'm going to email my coordinator now to check.

Hi sisses! I haven't even thought about my crew meals also, and we are already waaaaaay overbugdet.  May I ask how you calculate the expense? Do I have to go to each supplier and ask how many people will be in their crew during the wedding? Can't we just buy a bunch of Jollibee or is that nakakahiya to them? Any feedback would be appreciated!!

^most crew meal allowance ranges from P150 to P200 per head per meal. You can either:
-have someone from your side to cook, prepare and serve it
-if you are doing your preps in a hotel, you can have the food delivered by some crew meal suppliers like ccme, packed gourmet, etc. (suppliers prefer this type of food over 1pc chicken and rice from jollibee)
-if the hotel prohibits you from getting outside food, the best thing to do is give them food allowances.

To get a precise computation and no. Of people, ask your suppliers one by one and list down how many are they in their group.take note of the suppliers who are staying with you from morning til the end of the day since you will feed them 3x. You will need to consider providing snacks in between since the suppliers esp photo video and coordinators are always on the go..

Sis, soontobemrsmacho, the contracts/proposals will usually state how many they will be at the day of your wedding. Jollibee I think is totally fine for crew meals! The only thing though is for the reception meal, most venues do not allow outside food to be delivered for the crew, so chances are you will have to order from the caterer.

As I said, the expense shocked me as I originally only allotted 15k for this. But when you sit down and really do the math it is bewildering how high the cost can get. I still have to ask though if the PHP 390 Dinner Crew Meal at the venue includes service charge and VAT. But to be sure, I added it as well that's why it is 476/pax

^sis bzbee, i just checked my contract with L&S, 2 rice meals din sila, (bfast & lunch or lunch & dinner) this is to cover them during setup and during the event itself.

^chili1113 correct sis. It seems like mura lang kung iisipin pero when you sit down and do the math of the crew meals needed, aray na! May h2b even asked me before, bakit nagcocompute ka na naman? Kala ko ba ok na? Ahahaha. I even jot down sino ba mga nasa hotel namin during the preps, kasi im doing the headcount ilan ang needed for the lunch. Tapos may option pa kasi na kne rice or two rice dun sa gourmet namin, so iisipin ko pa kung yung taong yon e malakas mag rice or not! Ahahaha. Sa supplier namin definitely 2 rice kasi they need energy, hahaha. Knowing how men eat naman.  minsan naman kababaeng tao parang lalake kung kumain. Mga ganun! Ahahaha.

Thanks for the feedback sisses! My problem is we are having a sit down menu for dinner...okay lang sana if buffet, we could always just make them singgit somewhere sa line! I guess I will have to ask the hotel if they have crew package meals, it might be hard kasi to sneak in food for dinner! Parang feeling ko for breakfast or lunch it will be easy lang to sneak in food, but dinner lang ang mahirap!!

^I will be having sitdown too. Although i will be providing crew meals, I think I'll tell my coordinator to let some of my favorite suppliers take the place of those who don't arrive as confirmed. Baka we can consolidate those non-attendees into one table and make it for suppliers para di sayang binayaran ko. I don't think I can make my head coordinator (Kutchie) eat a crew meal anyway. The rest will be for suppliers who have been exceptionally good. Like those who gave me discounts or nag overperform. Hehe

And usually ilan ang tao sa lights and sounds?

hindi feasible yung 1pm arrival ng PV suppliers. if 3pm ang wedding, 9 am dadating na ang coordinator, sunod sunod na yan magdadatingan..Photo Video--most especially dahil kukuhanan nila from preps sis.. sayang naman kung di makukuhanan yung mga details na yun. ilan ba ang PV suppliers mo in total, just allocate 150/head. may makukuhanan naman cheaper meals.

^sis same tayo, 3pm wedding. plan ko mga 9AM andun na sina P&V para macover yung wedding preps, coord saka HMU. Tapos I will prepare yung parang sandwich meal or order ng budget meal sa Mcdo worth 60/pax. Kasama na family ko sa count. Tapos by 11:30 AM, mag-order din ako set lunch sa Packed Gourmets tapos padalhan din lahat ng suppliers outside the hotel ta sa dinner kasama na sila sa buffet. Andun din sa wedding preps place yung biscuits, bottled water at candies para me mapika-pika sila.

sis 3pm din wedding namin. as early as 7am nandon na HMUA then si Videographer tapos si OTD then si Photographer. nag start kami mag pictorial around 10 pero parang kulang pa din sa oras! 2pm kasi bumaba kami ng hotel para don mag shoot.

If you want to scrimp on crew meals, your P/V team will not be maximized for preps pictures. Your call. Personally, mas important sakin that veeryone gets to do their job which i paid for in full and at a much higher cost, kahit pa pakainin ko sila lahat.
