hello mga sis, 1st topic ko to since newbie lang ako. im planning to start booking some of the suppliers na, im not really sure how much i want to spend on each suppliers. i want to know how much you ladies are willing to shell out for each of your suppliers. then i will probably get the average on your replies.

I think the exact amount spent on each supplier really varies depending on the couple, but I'll share how I put my wedding budget together and I hope it'll be helpful.

1) Take the total amount you want to spend, minus 15%, and input it into a wedding budget calculator like this one (just pretend it's in PHP): http://www.yourweddingcompany.com/templates/planning/budget_calc.php/action/showProject/planId/3/

There's a lot of these online -- they allocate the amount based on average percentages. I like this one since you can choose which categories to include. The 15% you didn't include is for anything that's not on that list (lighting, photobooth, coffee booth, etc). If you realise that there are a lot of things that aren't on the list, maybe increase that percentage.

2) Start researching suppliers with these amounts as a very rough guide. Chances are you'll figure out what your big must-haves are -- for a lot of people it's photographer/videographer/caterer, but you might decide you want a more expensive dress or a particular venue.

3) Adjust your budget by allocating more money to the must-haves, and recalculate how that affects everything else. (This may not be necessary, but I think it's likely as everyone's priorities are different.) In my case I made cuts to flowers, decor, bridal party attire, favors and music.

If you're lucky, maybe you'll discover your must-haves cost less than you've allocated -- in which case you can decide to spend the extra money elsewhere, or you can just save it.

^hi sis czarina1987, i think need mo munang idetermine yung total budget mo for the wedding then from there, i breakdown mo yung amount/percentage to the diff suppliers na you need to book. Try to put emphasis dun sa mga aspects na wedding na gusto mong magsave and magsplurge:)

Tapos onting adjustment for each if feeling mo need mo magbawas/magdagdag ng alloted amount:)

for us we started like that ^.  Overall budget muna na kaya naming dalawa without bleeding ourselves dry.  And then pie chart system. Slice for each aspect/supplier, not forgetting the "etc" na allowance namin for incidentals.

Nagset kami ng budget at 300k for 90pax.

the rest, pinagkakasya ko sa 100k. Haha. Booked naman na lahat ng suppliers namin and looks like on track kami though kinain ng iba yung pang tip at incidentals.

pero ang usapan namin ni fiance, pag arte mo, gastos mo. Like may nagpledge na sa amin ng beer kegs. E gusto nya may hard. So sya bumili nun from his own pocket. Not from our wedding funds.

^sis czarina.. this will depend on your overall budget din.tama yun sabi ng isang gt sis ..isipin mo muna how much ang willing nyong ilabas then from there, dun ka mag set ng budget bawat supplier kase if titignan mo budget ng mga nagpost, iba iba ng priorities. Kaya pansin mo massive ang difference sa budget ng mga sis natin dito sa mga suppliers nila. makakatulong din if start ka ng mag scout ng suppliers para may idea ka sa rates nila. tapos adjust2 na lang if kaya pa.

hi sis, you might want to consider how many percent of your budget will be allocated for each supplier, instead of the actual cost. That way, makikita mo kagad which supplier will eat a big chunk out of your budget and suppliers na ipprioritize mo.

Hi sis, tama ang mga sinabi nila. You have to have a certain budget in mind.  At the same time yung mga major suppliers, like caterer, venue, photo/video, church, hotels, Gowns and suits. Start canvassing suppliers, ask them via email or FB if they can send their rates.  Kasi from there you can actually check kung how much yung most likely na magiging budget for certain suppliers.  Then check if your budget is realistic. If you want certain suppliers, either you need to increase your budget (kung kaya naman without breaking your bank and/or having a big credit).  Or you can lower your budget if you and hubby are not particular on such things. 

Our budget is about 450k - 550k for 150 guests for a destination wedding.


Hotel for Preps Room Rate........70-80 K  We will be spending 3 days and 2 nights in our preps/          venue.  Plus sagot na namin ang stay ng closest family and friends namin.

Florists ( Bridal & Entourage )...20 - 30k  ( We might get from a Dangwa florist na recommended ni MIL).  I only want simple church flowers. Like baby's breath   Maganda na kasi yung church. Ill make DIY bouttonieres for the groom, ang bongga lang na bouquet eh yung sa akin, sa the rest of the entourage, only simple flower bouquets.

So if ever na lumagpas kami sa budget namin, checheck namin kung sino ang pwedi namin i let go, ang go look for another supplier na carry yung ganun budget.  Kumbaga eh dagdag bawas.    Happy preps sis   Pero tip, first book your church and venue.  Then you can start moving forward. Pero mag canvass ka na. That way, you can work on a budget.  YOu can check kung ano ang non negotiables mo.  Good luck sis

sis, SMB. and they deliver! sana kasama sa delivery area nila yung venue nyo. in our case kasi hindi, so yung nagpledge, sya na din magdadala sa Antipolo. abuso lang. haha! swak sa rustic di ba?

You should do it the other way around. Set a total amount you're willing to spend then allocate from there. Iba iba buying power ng mga tao plus preferences.We have weddings here as low as 50k and then meron din in the millions. Kung ano nag work sa iba, might not work for you.

^ I agree. There are suppliers for every budget range. You just have to know your budget first. Though of course, conducting a survey might help in knowing the prices of things these days but at the end of the day, you should work around your budget and not the other way around.

Kami ni fiance, before we got engaged we already have money invested on stocks, mutual funds etc. Shared accounts yun. When we got engaged we decided to include that invested money sa wedding funds and we agreed on how much are we willing to shell out each month from our salaries. We added up that amount, multiplied by the number of months of wedding preparations plus added the stocks and mutual funds we have. That's how we came up with our total wedding budget. Then we broke it down according to our priorities. Our top priorities are food, music and alcohol.

sis czarina1987 i understand where you're coming from. when we started planning the wedding, i also wanted to know the ongoing rates for suppliers because i really had no idea at all. but instead of surveying here, we went to the first bridal fair that we can go to just to gather all the flyers we can get. from there, i sorted out the rates of suppliers from each category, from the most expensive to the most affordable. then i also added here the rates of suppliers that i can gather online. medyo tedious, but it helped a lot. this is how we were able to come up with our budget for each supplier. we had a budget set for the wedding and i didn't want to spend more than that. so we just prioritized on what's important for us and spent less on other things.
