Thanks bonzaigirl.. sana sis maisip nila sa dami ng friends namin, sila yung napiling mainvite diba.. or plain and simple, be honest na lang during rsvp. Crew meals namin 35pax from kbyc na rin kase I don't wanna order pa from outside para di hassle. Kung may sobra man sa reception ipapauwi naman yon.. yesterday my mom joined us sa ft. Sabi nya super dami na daw ng food for sure walang magugutom.

Problema ko sa guests na biglang nagdedecline nasisira ang seating arrangements na sobrang pinagisipan namin coz I don't want my guests to feel OP. As in tinatabi namin sila sa group na kilala nila.

I agree with that sis belle. Kainis nga those who back out after confirming. First, the costs; second, the seating arrangement. When I started fixing our seat plan, sumakit talaga ulo ko. No kidding! What to do with the extra head? Do I break the group or what?

Hay, these people can only understand what we're going through once they get married and plan their own weddings. Sana talaga sumakit ulo nila. Hahaha!  ;D But for now, we can only hope for their kindest consideration. If people back out from ours, I'd probably retain seating arrangement, except of course if only 3 to 5 people remain in that table. When that happens, pag-iisipan namin mabuti. But I'll cross the bridge when I get there...

I am finalising the seating arrangements tonight sis.. grabe wala na akong time halos ayusin ang workbooks ko sa sobrang busy.. pagod na, puyat, stressed, butas pa bulsa (were here pa lang 3 days pero I couldn't imagine the expenses) plus pampadagdag init ng ulo pa ang temperature ng pinas haha!! Sana the guests reconsider what we're all going through no? Konting open mindedness naman sana.

^ people will never understand kung gano ka important ang pagsasabi ng yes tapos di pupunta, unless kinasal na sila at may RSVP din sila hehe. kami the night before the wedding tsaka lang natapos ang seating arrangement

hugs sis belle_v2g. people apparently don't understand that we pay for meals per head and although it may feel a bit sad that they are not there on our day, we will totally understand if they cannot make it.  medyo worry ko rin yan especially from my mom's side of the family na ang hirap daw irsvp based sa experience ng cousins ko.

Thanks sis shygirlme, rightback, xsugar and sevenstars for uplifting my spirits. (kapatid ng MOH ko) kaya my moh won't be able to attend the rehearsals din because of this.

After rsvp it's down to 220 adults and 9 kids.

oh belle_v2g, hugs hugs hugs!
i totally understand what you're going through. people really don't take the rsvp seriously.
i have another friend who is also having her church wedding next month. she sent out a facebook event invite for her wedding to help her with estimating her final number of wedding guests. then we had lunch with another friend a couple of weeks ago. of course the topic of her wedding preparations came up. our friend said that she won't be able to attend. my bride friend exclaimed, "then why did you say yes in the rsvp?!" our other friend was surprised, she explained that she said yes to show support. we both explained to her that each "yes" costs money and people should only say "yes" if they are sure to go.
i hope everything falls into place and please do not stress yourself out too much!

those who have not experienced what it's like to budget and plan events will not understand how important the rsvp is.
we sent out our initial messages to our guests a little over a year before our wedding date. now, we'll be sending follow-up emails and messages in june, 6 months before the wedding. we'll send out paper invites in august. hopefully, this won't be a major headache for me. i expect that my total number of guests will be less than the 150 originally planned. although our guest list did reach around 180+.

[textspeak!] sis belle, keep us posted. I think our initial guest list reached 260, then out of 210 who received their invitations, 190 confirmed. I'm expecting total turnaround come actual wedding would only be at 170 to 180. Let's see... Hehe.

medyo nastress ako dun sa clicking yes to show support! mas di nga supportive. grabe if only people realize that per plate means 3-4 days for me not having a normal life. syempre you make daily sacrifices just to pay for each plate and nakakainis lang pag nasasayang.

until now people don't understand the true meaning of rsvp. good luck to all of us. And sana less stress during preps.

Omg sis 120515  how supportive naman that friend pero I'd appreciate her more if she chose to be honest instead.. na finalised ko na the guests and seating arrangements. After this I won't move the chairs na rin for 1-2 heads na magdedecline if ever.. I have to admit that this has been the most stressful bit of wedding preps. Of course, next would be the hotel restrictions na na-manage na din finally. :)

that conversation illustrated to me just how clueless people are about the importance of the rsvp. thus, this will be one of the things i'll hash out early like make sure to follow-up and check that people have bought their tickets before i include them in my final list. we've also reconciled ourselves to the fact that not every person we've invited will be able to make it, especially overseas guests, so less heartaches there.

Even if we are not on wedding preps alam ko yung hassle regarding the rsvp or invites kapag confirmation na pinag uusapan. Well na experience ko na ito when I am organizing eyeball which is another story naman but at least na pepredict ko na yung possibility na nangyayari talaga itong may nagconfirm then on the day itself no show naman. Expected kasi na yung ibang friend na 1 week nabigyan ng invitation will also come. Ang comment ko naman sana kasi earlier mga more than a week or 3 weeks nabigyan na so that they can have time for rsvp.

wedding prep din ba yung pamamanhikan? My family loves my h2b and his family pero nainis dad ko na bakit daw ako atat magpakasal? eh di naman ako nagtatanong kung kelan mamamanhikan, yung parents ni h2b. Also mag 5 years na kami ni h2b turning 6 this October and will be engaged for a year this June.

Yes, it's still part of preps.

Maybe that is just lambing from your dad and he's still in denial that he has to give you away?

My dad was like that too. He looked sungit when we said we're getting married but when we said in 2 years pa ayon nag-ok naman haha!

^^i guess yung family ni h2b mo ang dapat magschedule ng formal pamamanhikan, for me ha hindi talaga dapat ikaw ang nagtatanong nyan sa dad mo. but as per his reaction, baka nga he's in denial pa that you're actually getting married. :)

sa amin naman baliktad. when we told our parents of our plans, sinabi agad ng tatay ko kay fiance na kelangan pumunta na parents nya for pamamanhikan. tapos yung nanay ko sabi nya sa akin "akala mo iiyak ako no" lol. parang gustong gusto na nila ako ipamigay

-----

not really a problem, pero kanina sobra akong prinessure ni fiance na ifinalize ang dresses ng entourage and parents. 6 months to go na lang kami and i know na magiging busy pa this coming months pero ayoko talaga sa lahat yung dahil stressed sya eh pati ako gusto nya din mastress. lol. sabi ko na lang sa kanya ako bahala dun wag na nya isipin. pero until now di ko pa din nafinalize hehe
