Ako namimiss ko yung wedding preps. I should have done better kung maaga aga kong nadiscover ang GT. Mas magagandang suppliers sana ang nakuha namin at mas ok sana ang kinalabasan nya. However, it was a HAPPY wedding according to one of my friends. May "aliw" factor daw kasi naman sadyang masayahing tao kami ni hubby. Pinagtatawanan na lang namin yung mga kapalpakan during the wedding day. Ayaw namin ma-stress

^^^yes! bakit sobrang bilis dumaan ng wedding day? i can't speak for my groom pero ako parang nakalutang nung araw na yun. i always thought eto na ba yung lahat ng pinaghirapan namin? don't get me wrong i LOVED my wedding! some found it very heartfelt and personalized according sa personalities naming mag asawa. during reception para kaming decorations na everyone has to take pictures with. hehe... which every bride and groom has to go through

^I feel you sis. Sobrang lutang lalo na nung naglalakad na sa aisle ng church. I mean yun talaga ang moment ng mga b2bs. Yung ilang years at months mong pinaghandaan eh parang minuto lang during the wedding day itself. Kinikilig pa din ako pag naalala ko. Yung bang feeling artista kami kasi lahat sila gustong magpa-picture sa amin. Sobrang saya lang pero nakakapagod talaga sya. Di nga kami nakakain ni hubby during reception, picture dito picture doon. Buti na lang kumain kami ng one full meal during breakfast or else we're dead.

My main problem now is... natengga kami sa preps! Lol. After booking most of our major suppliers, parang lahat napush aside. Haha. 7 months to go, i feel like ang tagal pa, pero feeling ko din konti na lang yung time. We're supposed to have our first prenup session nitong April but then it was moved to June. So ngayon, chill chill lang kami

^^ilang araw akong high dahil sa kasal ko haha ang sarap balikan yun moment e. Walang palpak na suppliers. Ayun kasi ako kinakabahan baka may pumalpak e buti walq. Pero nung nahimasmasan ako andon na yun may mga regrets sa suppliers etc. Ewan ko pero hindi ako yung super na stress ng bongga sa wedding preps. Pagod oo pero di ako nagpaka stress. Kaya sa mismong araw ng wedding let go nyo na smile nalang :-)

right now, i don't feel the stress yet but i think there might be some trepidation lurking at the back of my mind because i had some funny wedding nightmares in february 

my husband and i are diy-ing the wedding decorations and we have already completed a lot so now i'm kind of relaxing for a bit.

we'll probably feel some stress in august when we meet all our suppliers for the first time and discuss the additional details for the wedding but we'll cross the bridge when we get there

^samin din kami... dami nakakatawang sablay pero sabi nga ni husband.... hari naman kami ng sablay di kami perfectionist kaya tawa nalang ng hard... kaya naenjoy ko from start to finish.... :-)

Thank you sis Chili1113. It can be really frustrating when they don't understand the importance of early planning. Pero finally told him last night pagod na ko. Nakinig naman.

Your h2b is from Bacolod? Well mine is from across the water. Ilonggo "boys" talaga...hahaha

But thank God for GT. At least there's room to talk about all these things and getting advice from all of you.

gusto ni h2b mag-ayos muna kami ng papers before we book any supplier. not sure how to react on this one

agree sis belle_v2g nakaka-stress din talaga ang DIY. Dapat pinag-iisipan at pina-plano din ang DIY. How much time you've got. Para kang kumuha ng bato na pinukpok mo sa ulo mo pag nasimulan mo na tapos hinde mo matapos tapos dahil ang dami mong gustong gawing DIY. I had one project, flowers for the bridal car, ni-let go ko nung na-realize ko sobrang time consuming. Buti na lang paint at brushes pa lang nabili ko since the flowers are made of egg carton container.

Saka yung materials sis, mahihirapan akong humanap dahil overseas tapos ilalagay ko sa luggage ko baka masira kasi.. mahal dito kumpara kung bibili ako sa divi. Kaya super bilib ako kay sis 120515 dahil super maparaan sya.
Some of the wedding items we ordered instead of DIYing are candles, matches, cord, bible, arrhae, then the coins were ordered from w@w, wooden plank with here comes the bride sign.. tapos the things we are planning to DIY are the game props & our avps (supposedly included na yon kay host pero pinaalis ko kase my hubby can do it naman).

For girls who are DYIing, remember to make a list of things or details you want your photographers to shoot and send it to them and your coordinator. I knew someone na hindi na picturean yung ibang DIYs nya. Sakit lang yun sa loob since pinagpuyatan and all...

i can only imagine how creative you are. your wedding will have a super personalised feel because of your DIYs.

^agree sis maple, i included that to my "special instructions" to my OTD, to take a photo of every littlest detail we have in the wedding.

medyo napepressure ako ngayon sa preps kasi some sponsors are expecting that our wedding is more of a "thanksgiving celebration" too. preparing myself for some upgrades especially with the floral arrangement of the church and reception.

Me naman... 1 year to go pa my wedding and im so sick and tired of planning a wedding and fixing the budget. The wedding is still a year pa naman. But I am so fed up doing all this supplier research only to talk to an uninterested groom at the end of the day. So I am officially on wedding planning STRIKE until H2B starts showing some cooperation and interest.

I also made up my mind to start being smart and USE ALL of the budget he gave me. Before kasi I wanted to share in the expenses, even if he never asked me to contribute. But it seems like he doesnt care or appreciate the gesture anyway.

Plus my fiance is getting on my nerves to the point that I have doubts about my decision to get married.

I dunno if this is normal, but my sis in law told me before she had cold feet too. I dunno... Does anyone here ever doubt their decision to get married while being engaged?

Sis you should think first ano ba yung reasons na nagpapadoubt sayo. Baka mamaya nasasapawan lang sya nung inis mo sa hindi nya pagparticipate sa planning, if yun lang tell him it is affecting your overall feeling about the weddding and the marriage mismo baka magbudge naman si husband to be at magbago

Does anyone here ever doubt their decision to get married while being engaged?

Yes. Although it was way before we started preps. We got into an intense argument and I decided to have a break. I requested for a 3-day break from him - on Valentine's day weekend no less!

He was pissed. In the end, he was the one who said he was sure he wanted to marry me. End of discussion.
