to the sissies who are done na with the canonical interview, how did it go? like what questions did they ask you?

Ask ko lang if san kayo nag pre cana? Meron ba sa CTK mismo and how much? Pwede ba sya gawin 6months before the wedding?

Yung canonical interview yung 2 months before the wedding noh? So technically, after nun, pwede na isubmit lahat ng requirements? tama ba intindi ko?

^ in CTK, you are required to take the pre-cana seminar conducted by the CTK Parish. As far as I know you may take marriage retreats/seminars somewhere else, but if you haven't attended the seminar that CTK has conducted, your requirements with them are not yet complete. Hope this helps!

Hi! CTK bride (Feb 2017) here. I'm wondering if anyone availed of the soloist/organist with the package? How was it?

I am hiring a band for my reception, and they said they can sing the bridal march and songs for pictorials (during the ceremony). However they do not sing mass songs... So I'm wondering if I need to hire an additional choir for the mass proper, or if the "free" soloist with the package will do?

The soloist will do. onting-onti lang din naman ang mass songs na kakantahin, di mo rin mapapansin. May guidelines ang CTK for mass songs and if you want to tick the mass songs off your list, leave it to the soloist.

^yes they do. But we were only given 3 days to confirm and give our down payment, if I remember right. (I think it was actually 1 day reservation only, but we argued for 3 days)

@juwie: Thank you for your help! I'll go with the CTK soloist then, so I won't have to hire an additional choir for the mass

Hi. Good to know na may CTK thread dito. Dito namen plan kasi mukhang tahimik yung place tapos may malapit din na possible Venue. Valle Verde 6 Clubhouse or Green Meadows Clubhouse.

Mga sis how much downpayment?

Overseas couple kasi kame. Ask ko din kung ok lang ba na 1 month before the wedding kame uuwi, so meaning don palang yung canonical interview at kung ano mang kailangan. Possible din ba na dito kame mag pre cana? Nag ask na kame sa parish namen dito pwede daw kame mag seminar dito. Di ko lang alam kung a-accept ba ng ctk yun?

^the downpayment is 5K. I'm not sure how long you are given to make the full payment after that...
As far as I know, you need to submit all documents (baptismal certificate, confirmation certificate etc) a few months before your wedding date. It would probably be best for you to call them and ask directly, so they can give you all requirements and deadlines

They also have a reception venue of their own. It's around 20k yata.

About precana, they have their own precana seminar which you are required to attend. 2.5k per couple. Hope this helps! ☺

^i think, call them and ask. They're a lot nicer and more helpful than the staff from other churches that I've spoken to. Good luck!

medyo nahihirapan kami ni h2b ma-contact ctk. as in laging busy. yung samin, june 5 wedding. dapat may 5 nasubmit na lahat ng docs. regarding precana seminar, eto yung nakalagay: this must also be taken at the parish where the intended marriage is to take place. this could be taken abroad or in other parish provided that a certificate of attendance is submitted as proof. this must be taken from those with roman catholic affiliation.

but like what everyone suggests, call them first to clarify everything.

btw, i'm an overseas bride too. CTK wont allow na magbook directly to them if overseas ang isa or both of you. you need an endorsement letter muna from the Chancery Office of the diocese of cubao before magpabook sa CTK. so call muna CTk to check the availability of the wedding date then un [textspeak!] ibibigay sa chancery. Dapat kasi kung anong wedding date ilalagay sa endorsement letter, un na mismo ipapabook and if may changes, need nanaman ng new endorsement letter. We also need freedom to marry from parish priest abroad and parang cenomar din kung sang bansa kayo nakatira.

Thanks sa info. you're right naalala ko na yang chancery office na yan. na stress ng bongga yung sis ko nung wedding nya.

Kaya mukhang itutuloy nalang namen yung civil wedding dito sa dubai. Yun kasi ang plan then 2017 church wedding sa pinas. then sabi naman diretso na sa pinas, kaso ayan dahil sa dami ng kailangan tutuloy nalang namen dito since we have papers na. Mas less na yata yung requirements kapag kasal na noh?
