@bzbee: awwww ang gaganda ng mga gowns ni mel orlina!!! Yes nag bridalroom na ako, super nice din ng mga gowns nila! Sa white label mas mahal though ang gaganda din talaga. Naka sched na ako kay von lazaro.. Nag inquire ako sa rtw lines nila pero wala na pala sila rtw ngayon. Meron sila von team. Parang team of designer yata ni von. Ka price range ng rtw nya. So im giving it a go since nagagandahan ako sa mga posts nya sa ig. Hindi naman nya siguro papabyaan yung team nya noh. Iba din naman yun siguro sa bridehouse nung mommy nya. Haaay sana this is it na! Diko inexpect na ang hirap pala maghanap ng gown!!!!

Kung my budget kang ako il go with mel orlina! Nagkukuripot ako sa gown pero sabi nga ng ate ko, lahat daw ng wedding pictures ko andun yung gown ko, makikita tapos ayaw ko pag investan. hehe so ayun, she's sharing the cost with me ☺️

^Sis, that's what my mum and ate told me as well. I initially wanted to scrimp on my gown. I don't want to spend too much on something I will only wear once, but they convinced me to shell out a little more. Mum is also shouldering the costs that went beyond our budget for it. They reasoned that I'll be wearing it the entire day and that I should look and feel beautiful on our big day. This is also the reason that I don't want to have a second look or a second gown because I want more mileage for my gown. hehe.

^ agree sis caleeice!! sobrang pinaghirapan ko maghanap ng designer at magisip ng design, susulitin ko talaga yung nag-iisang gown ko.

ako naman im sharing the cost with h2b lol. he witnessed my struggle when searching for the right gown, as in hindi na ko makatulog at makakain kakaisip. kaya when he saw how happy i was after meeting mel orlina, go na siya agad para matahimik na daw ako kahit doble yung tinaas sa initial budget. lol

Hi again mga sis, did anyone of you tried Zandra Lim na ba? If yes, kamusta designs, price, quality, and her, as a couturier? Mabait and very accommodating ba? May meeting kasi ako with her early next month na and ang gaganda ng nakita ko sa pinterest regarding sa mga ginawa nyang gowns. Very vintage with a touch of modernity, romantic with a luxury feel because of the lace and beads or crystals na nilalagay nya. I'm just curious lang baka may reviews kayong ma-share. Thanks! :-)

One stressed bride here less than a month na lang wedding ko na and good luck naman kasi hindi pa tapos yung gown ko! Haaay... Nagsisisi ako dapat pala nag RTW na lang ako kesa ganito hindi ako makatulog kakaisip sa gown. Haaaay... Kala ko sulit na ko sa nakuha ko na designer kaso sa mga nangyayari parang talong talo ako. I spent too much time and money (overbudget kasi doble na nga yung siningil compared sa initial quote, hinayaan ko na nga e) feeling ko hindi worth it. First time ko mag post dito kasi hindi ko na matiis e. Haaaay talaga. Girls, alam ko marami sa inyo medyo tight din ang budget like me and naghahanap ng most affordable designer para gumawa ng dream gown natin. Dito ko din nakita name niya kaya ako napadpad sa shop niya. Pero as much as possible hanap muna tayo ng reviews. Kapag konti ang reviews, gawin nyo nang red flag un. Kasi big risk yun. Check niyo din if meron silang permanent staffs. Haaaay... Mahirap yung mga contractual ang gagawa tapos gumagawa din sa ibang designers na big time. Kasi magiging least priority yung gown mo. Gusto ko sana magkwento, kasi ang dami kong bad experiences sa kanya. Dun din kasi ako nagpagawa ng gowns for my entourage and relatives. Kaso naisip ko after na lang ng wedding. Depende sa finished products niya. Gusto ko din naman bigyan siya ng chance, kung madeliver nya yung usapan namin on time. Naiintindihan ko naman na baguhan pa lang siya kaya nga im trying my best na magpasensya. Kasi choice ko yun na kunin siya and mag-take ng risk. Please wish me luck na lang girls. Haaay... Sana makatulog na ko. Huhu...

Oh dear, that's not so good sis aj_qt18.  May contract ba kayo ng designer mo sis?  REad your contract especially about dun sa delivery ng gown on time.  Nakapag fitting ka na ba? Baka naman miracle worker yung designer mo sis:)  Hoping everything will work out in the end :0

^ aww sis, im so sorry to hear that. share ko lang, i know someone who went through the same problem. in her case, she met the young designer at a bridal fair. this designer admitted that he was inexperienced when it comes to bridal gowns but he seemed to have a lot of potential daw. designer gave the bride a good price so they sealed the deal. THEN 2 weeks before the wedding, this designer just gave up and said hindi na niya kayang tapusin. he gave a full refund while the bride was forced to buy an expensive RTW gown. buti natapos ang adjustments before the wedding.

isang pagsisisi niya was she waited too long to cancel their transaction. because like you, she was still hoping na matatapos pa yung gown ng maayos. pero even before the designer gave up, they never really had a fitting na maayos. laging may mali dun sa gown and they have to adjust ng paulit ulit.

ikaw ba sis, almost done na ba? does it look like kaya ng tapusin? im just worried baka same kayo ng ending. i really hope not. good luck sis! hope everything works out.

@bzbee: waaaahhhh super nightmare naman yun. Huhuhu  ang gagawin ko siguro, have my design or peg printed and show it, papagaya ko mismo. Incase may idagdag ok lang pero i will tell her or him na eto talaga gusto ko.  Sis anong skirt mo? Is it A line or drop waist mga ganun and simple ba or frou frou? I like champagne gown kaso baka sabihan ko samin bakit di ako nag ivory white. Ano ba difference ng champagne sa ecru?

I myself, ayoko din ng ivory white nor white, either champagne, beige or cream ako. Kanino mo pinagawa gown mo? Or did you buy RTW?

I was at Ivory and White the other day. Ive also been to Rosa Clara before and in fairness iba talaga the lace of Rosa Clara vs Ivory and White. And also, Iba pa din the fit and bagsak of the gowns I tried in Rosa Clara.

 However, for the price I dont think anyone can complain with a gown costing 35k (full lace, long train, fit and flare) with veil already, plus additional 5k for beads, and 5k for coverup.  And in fairness, di baduy most of the gowns.

Actually I took a picture and sent it to my friend. Akala nga niya it was a Rosa Clara gown. But of course in person iba pa din yung itsura.

Buti nalang talaga I tried different gown cuts and styles. Because di masyado bagay the cut that I agreed to have made with my designer.

In relation with sis aj_qt18's case, may friend si h2b na halos ganyan din ang nangyari. Share ko lang. Sorry if mahaba.

I'm not sure kung saan nila nalaman tong designer na to. Pero nag-risk nga sila dahil very affordable ang rate na binigay sa kanila. The bridal gown and enotu gown dun ipinagawa. Nagbayad sila, tumupad sa uapsan regarding sa payment terms. Everytime na mag-surprise visit sila sa stall ng patahian na yun, laging sarado. So pag kino-contact nila, sabi lang naka-out of town sila, puro excuses. Pag naman may appointment sila, nakikita naman nila na bukas yung stall. Nagpapakita pa ng tela but no finished product.

Then 2 weeks before the wedding day, pinuntahan ulit nila. May napakita namang bridal gown, pero sobrang layo sa kung anumang napag-usapan. Yung mga alterations na gagawin, hiningan pa sila ng bayad. Pati entou gowns hindi pa tapos. Sabi 1 week lang matatapos na.

1 week before the wedding nagpunta yung bride at lahat ng kasama sa entou, para kunin nga yung gown. Unfortunately, hindi pa tapos yung bridal gown. Take note, si designer pa yung galit. Sabi kaya nila tapusin 2days before wedding day kung hindi nila kayang antayin, irerefund nalang daw yung 50% ng binayad nila dahil matatapos naman na daw nila yun since pinaghirapan nilang gawin yun at may materials ng nagamit.

Ending, napilitan silang kunin lahat ng gowns tapos pina-alter nila sa iba.

After that day, they found out na hindi registered yung patahian na yun. Kaya pala laging sarado pag dinadaanan nila yung stall na to sa divi.

Beware sa mga wala pang name or reviews sa industry na ganto.

^ Nako I dont think worth it to risk getting a gown in Divi. Buti pa nga flowers, I understand that others will get a Dangwa florist. Kasi naman, whether may flowers or not, tuloy pa din ang wedding. But if the Divi mananahi cannot produce a gown by your wedding day, pano matutuloy ang wedding na walang gown ang bride?

Also, If nasa 20-25 k lang din naman at divi bakit pa doon magpapagawa eh meron naman RTW with good quality like Ivory and White that have gowns starting at 30k pag sale minsan 15-20k lang and the style is much classier naman than in divi.

Ang hilig kasi ng Pinoys ng bongga gown with tons of beads kaya di nila type yung sa mga RTW like Ivory and White na puro lace. eh its so easy naman to just buy the gown and mag add ng madaming beads.

Do you girls have a contract with your designer/gown maker? Ako kasi wala, schedules and specific timeline lang kung kelan ako babalik.

i initially wanted to get a divi gown too since parang di ako nasusulitan to splurge for something that i will only wear once pero dahil sobrang mixed reviews ng divi suppliers kumuha ako ng designer na mas mapapanatag ang loob ko. i have to admit na masakit sya sa bulsa pero i always tell myself na lang na di nababayaran ang peace of mind.

true yan sis chilli1113. buti nga dumadami na din ang rtw options dito sa pilipinas and a lot of them are really nice and classy without eating a chunk of your wedding budget.

sis juwie, i have a contract with roxy. naka-indicate yung payment terms, dates ng fittings, details about the use and parang copyright nung gown and other stipulations. if you want one siguro naman mel can do it for you. i try kase to always ask for a physical contract and even a digital copy if available to make sure everything's documented.

I agree @Chilli, very nice din mga nasa Ivory for their price. Me neither, dont wanna go to divisoria na kasi ang hassle sa parking at lalo na yung horror stories. My friend got her gown last 2013 sa Divi alam ko nasa 30k yung kanya pero ang kintab kintab. Ayoko ng ganun. Siguro iba iba ng taste talaga. Pero i guess nasa tiyaga di. Sa paghanap ng pagpapagawaan.

Nabiktima na ako sa divi before when i had my halloween costume made there. Yung service at quality - basura! Kaya never again. unless trusted and may good reputation and kapag wala na akong ibang choice.

kisses1417: Same tayo sis! Champagne din gown ko that's why medyo kailangan pa sadya. Ayaw ko kasi mag white or ivory because its my 2nd wedding and parang di bagay sobrang white because of that hehe

Sis how are the gowns in Bridal Room and White Label? Based on pictures parang nicer pa their gowns that Ivory and White. Na curious lang ako hehe Because just in case I have extra budget, I might grab an RTW gown to wear for 1st dance or after party. KASO yun nga lang I dont like white or ivory sana!
