You could also unify the themes by abstracting them a little bit. I think it'd be pretty to take the nature elements from each film -- space/night sky from Star Wars and the forest of Lothlorien -- and bring them together.

You could do a night sky setup on your ceiling with fairy lights or a star projector, maybe with hanging glass globes to suggest planets; and golden leaves for your centrepieces with yellow flowers. Use a marbling technique (different shades of yellow + gold paint) on round glass candleholders for a pretty galaxy effect, and maybe spray paint figurines from each movie -- making them all one colour makes it more elegant, I think -- and scatter them through the tables

Ooh, what about a star map for the seating chart? And lemon candy stars + white chocolate bark for the favours -- or if you want to do popcorn, add a pun about the big bang. (Since popcorn pops/bangs! Sorry corny, hehe)

Thanks, sevenstars! You ladies are so great! I've already started doing research on possible suppliers for rustic frames for quotes, star wars and LOTR mini figures, I'll be talking to my friend to do calligraphy for us, and planning to have a tall stick and white/silver/gold floral arrangement in a slim vase for table centrepiece. Am also looking at pretty glass and wood candleholders that can cast soft, shadowy light on the table. The starlight! I love that!

H2b and I are also talking about possible fun quiz cards on the table in addition to or instead of the movie quotes. Something like - what colour light saber would you wield? Is the force strong with you? Which middle earth creature would you be? Which part of middle earth do you belong to?

LingMVL, if you want to DIY the "starlight" candleholders, just punch holes in vellum or parchment paper and use it to make sleeves for normal glass candles. This might sound a bit odd but if you have access to a Daiso, they sell packs of oil-absorbing kitchen paper (usually used to soak up extra grease from tempura) that works really well for projects like this.

Hello mga sis, any ideas for a theme for our palette?
Our wedding colors are cream, antique silver, petal pink, midnight blue and blush.

We were thinking of incorporating our love for movies na lang into the centerpiece and escort cards. Medyo may fear kasi na magmukhang birthday party if ma-overdo ang reception design

although your colors sounds like a drive in movie or an outdoor movie at the park. and to some extent--awards night but if you go for the latter parang corporate christmas party lang ang dating.

anyway you can use your midnight blue for the ceiling and floor. sliver for the stars accent. then you can use your peach and pinks for the flowers in silver vases and clear glasses for candles. you can use locations/settings of your favorite movies as your table numbers.

peachlipstick, I'm sure the table numbers idea will work; it's all in the execution. If you're after something romantic and whimsical, why not name each table after an iconic movie couple? (Han and Leia, Rose and Jack, Scarlett and Rhett, etc.) That can look modern or rustic or elegant -- all depends on your choice of frame and font. Taking off from that you could introduce one or two more "perfect pair" things into your wedding for a loose theme -- that should keep it from feeling over-designed. Favours would be an easy one, tons of things could work: a pair of sunglasses, salt and pepper shakers, bride and groom cookies, etc.

We both love sakura, kaya yung 1st pre-nup photos namin were taken under cherry blossom at Iwate Pref. Japan last April 30, then 2nd pre-nup shoot will be on Boracay, 2 days before wedding.  At dahil beach wedding siya, we are planning also to put some touch of summer color and we have chosen mint green.  Parang Spring Summer theme ang peg. Colors are white, pink and mint green. Yung cake namin cherry blossom inspired, wedding favors and some decors like japanese lanterns and parasol. Then yung mint green sa entourage color naman siya and for some wedding details also. Mejo magulo pa mga sis, pero inaayos na ng wedding coordinator namin. Hihi 😁

Sa dami ng gusto ko incorporate di ko alam ang itatawag.
Gusto ko yung mix ng rustic, shabby chic, pastel, spring theme.
Then sa color scheme, these are my color choices: Blush, Peach/Coral, Salmon Pink, Gold
So bet ko yung color palette ng bridesmaids ni Iya V.

Everything about elegant calligraphy, water color pastel invitations, pink/nude floral and the likes catch my eyes. I think you can picture already the girly theme vibe here

I think I'll go for rustic/woodlands too kasi backyard wedding ang venue and sa tabi ng bukid and taniman but with a touch of bohemian. I'm still lost for color motif kasi parang ayoko ng pastel. Definitely there will be a touch of very light mocha or beige-brown because of the rustic side but am not sure what else to pair... We like the color red (most of our stuff are red in color) but it seems a bit off for the theme... what do you guys think?
