pogi02, if you're DIYing your styling, you might want to think about just keeping it simple para you don't stress out too much about finding items to fit a theme. Your venue is lovely and has plenty of character, and I think it would be very pretty if you just do something classic like coral/peach flowers in simple vases, maybe with a lace or solid table runner and lots of candles.

Or if you'd really like to have a theme, maybe start with things you and your fiance have in common -- books, movies, a shared hobby? You might find that you already own some things you can use for styling, or you might be able to use some of the wedding decor at home afterwards.

i looked through photos of ibarra's garden. it's a beautiful place and i love all the dark wood and the stained glass. you should use them to full effect
how about a vineyard theme? you can still use your mint and green mason jars and incorporate green wine bottles as well and fill them all with white baby's breath and bright coral peach carnations as table centerpieces. put them in clusters like all baby's breath in one bottle then all carnations in another jar. then put the bottles and jars in a nest of dark green leafy vines. you can also have a backdrop wall made out of wood and hang some bottles/jars from it with clusters of flowers, too. your table numbers can also be painted on wine bottles.

So far your idea is the closest thing that I think we could possibly execute in our venue.
Vineyard Theme it is!
I really love the idea of wood backdrop with hanging jars/bottles with flowers. I am also thinking of putting tiny fairy lights or christmas lights, also LED lights or icicle lights will do, to have a bright effect since the couple's area in Ibarra's Garden has a quite dim light effect. I wanted our wedding photos turned out to be bright & fresh eventhough we'll be having an evening event, also, that's the reason why I'm not leaning towards dark colors.
What do you think of this sis?

Since painting needed more effort & time, I think table numbers could be printed together with our monogram (if we'll be having one) and glue it to the wine bottles instead. Pwede rin diba?

Yes sis yannuh, same din tayo ng dominant colors. Seafoam green talaga ang main color namin. Pang touch lang yung light gold. Parang madalas tayong same ng mga gusto, venue, PV & now motif.

Bet ko yang modern rustic. Nung una yan din yung naisip kong theme kaso parang hindi sya bagay sa venue namin. Yung venue nyo sis easy to style kasi bare lang sya and ikaw talaga bahala.
Abangan ko yung wedding photos nyo sa fb, medyo malapit na.

pogi02, do you have friends who drink wine? Or even better -- do you know anyone in the restaurant or recycling industry? Hehe. Ask them to start saving bottles for you para free Oh, or try posting on the Gr3encycle Philippines egroup.

I helped my friend organise her engagement party a couple of years ago and I got all our friends to give me their empty wine bottles (I used them for flower arrangements). Medyo matrabaho lang if you want to remove the labels -- I had to use acetone to get the last of the sticky stuff off; if it's really stubborn you might have to scrape it off with a cutter.

Another idea for your giant letters -- you could cover them in faux greenery

^ definitely go with sevenstars' suggestion, pogi02. just collect all the used wine bottles that you can. jars are easy to collect - especially if you make pasta and such. i have my growing collection of jars and have already started decorating some of them for the church aisle. ^

having lights in the jars is also a wonderful idea and they are so so so pretty, too. if you go to the DIY thread, i have posted pictures of my decorated jars with led lights inside of them.

for the giant letters, you can do as sevenstars suggested or paint them gold. painting them gold definitely will upgrade them and make them look expensive instead of cheap

Hmmm. I think I'll be having a hard time collecting wine bottles/jars. Been thinking if these items will be available somewhere in Divisoria, I'm willing to go there for these DIY stuff.

For me, parang okay yung giant letters in faux greenery with LED lights in it.
This will compliment the vineyard theme. Maganda rin sana if this will be highlighted with floor lights for the effect.
I'm also considering of using paper dollies as table numbers to be attached in wine bottles.

hi xsugar, what are your interests as a couple? would you consider going nautical?

the navy blue and coral colors go very well with a nautical wedding - as in the ships and sails kind of vibe. think of yachts and the marina and a very preppy look. think of stripes and patterns of anchors and ropes. you can hang paper boats in navy blue and coral colors as your backdrop or as your photobooth backdrop. feature giant navy blue paper boats for your table centerpieces, add some gold rope and anchors. bridesmaids' dresses with voluminous bold navy blue and white striped skirts.

or you can just go all out romantic - coral colored flowers in navy blue vases of different shapes and sizes and highlight with gold accent pieces (can be lanterns, lamps, figurines - this really depends on your interests as a couple) - simple but elegant. make your backdrop dramatic by making it a bold navy blue color and then have your names painted on it in giant calligraphy either in coral or gold or both like the coral writing lined with gold. your entourage can wear soft, flowy navy blue dresses and have them hold coral-colored bouquets. you can even hang navy blue and coral colored lanterns from the center of the ceiling in various shapes and sizes.

pogi02, to add to 120515's ideas -- some florists and craft stores sell grapevine balls in various sizes. They're very pretty and rustic if you add lights to them. Wooden barrels and crates (think palochina) also remind me of wine country You can use wine corks to build letters/symbols/table numbers, or to line glass vases for candles. I've even seen pictures where they just use vases full of corks to decorate.

if you can find cork stoppers, you can use them as the seating card holder. just use a piece of hard paper with the guest's name on it then stick it to the cork stopper.

another thing you can do is get a big corkboard (if it comes with a frame, paint the frame gold) then ask guests to write their messages/wishes to you as a couple on pretty pieces of paper (with vine designs) and to stick the messages to the corkboard with pretty gold pins. then you can just display this at your home later on, after the wedding. i bet you can get a framer to frame it in glass so that your messages won't get dusty or fall off.

use grapevine leaves everywhere and use boxes. the boxes can be wooden or cardboard, you can paint cardboard boxes gold. for example, instead of pillows for your rings, use a box instead and decorate it with grapevine leaves and ribbons in seafoam and coral. instead of a wire cage for your arrhae, use a box.

Sis 120515 & sevenstars, I've searched Vineyard Themed Weddings in Pinterest, and I found it very beautiful. I really like the theme's aura and I can now picture out what my venue will look like on my wedding day. Hoping that I will achieve all of your suggestions of DIYs. Im pushing this to get through.

I have been lurking in this thread for quite some time trying to think up a theme for my Feb 2016 wedding. I don't know if anyone else can relate to this but my h2b and I have very little in common! He's into hiphop (as in old school hiphop) and sports and technology. I'm into books and movies and travel and adventure and virtually every kind of music except old school hiphop! Hay. I actually think it's funny how we get along so well but it's problematic when it comes to finding a theme that suits both of us. All we have right now is our motif of pale yellow hues Tuloy, I don't know what to do. Any advise, ladies?
