I backread from page 1 and ang galing ng mga naiisip nila sis 120515 and sevenstars! Stylist/designers ba kayo? or just art inclined? Ang galing lang! Are you both DIY brides?

Ours is Nautical / One Piece (animé) theme
Colors are Navy Blue, Red and White

I have this admiration sa uniforms ng navy (maybe because of Sailor Moon?) Haha! Also, fiancé and I love animé pretty much, particularly One Piece. So I think na-incoporate namin mga personality namin.

Thanks for the compliment, twinxz! I'm in a creative profession (not events-related), but I'm not really a DIY bride -- I'm having a destination wedding kasi so I don't want to transport that much stuff. But I am designing all my own stationery/signage, and I'm bringing in a considerable amount of decor (some of it is from my own collection; some of it I've sourced/created specifically for the wedding).

I love art direction and collaborating with other creative professionals is one of my favourite things, so I've had a lot of fun working with illustrators/calligraphers/printers/manufacturers to come up with some cool touches

After 5 months of abusing Pinterest and revising my contract with my stylist, I think we're finally close to having a 'theme'! Lol. From the very start, I just knew I wanted a certain color palette (shades of marsala, dusty rose, mauve, deep violet) and didn't want to have shabby chic decor because it really didn't fit my personality. Based on what my stylist proposed, we're having an indoor garden/park-themed wedding! Sakto na rin because Salcedo park is one of our most memorable date spots and we even have a favorite bench in that area. Really excited!

xsugar, if you want red, go for very deep shade so that there's an element of drama but coral and navy blue are nice colors also! Navy blue is very elegant

I'm actually considering marsala too pero shabby chic lang naiisip kong theme na bagay sa kanya kaya nag isip ako ng iba..good luck sa romantic whimsical theme ko:) wala pa naman akong ka-art art sa katawan:)hehe

^ Look up "marsala wedding" on Pinterest, xsugar results are far from shabby chic! But if you're going for whimsical, I think soft, pastel colors would suit that mood better.

my colors are dusty rose, champagne, and gold with lots of sparkles 

marsala is actually a very vibrant, jewel-toned color and you can have a very elegant wedding with this shade of red. i'm imagining a moroccan/persian theme with deep purples and blues complementing it.

Ako kasi eversince talaga ito ba talaga ang gusto kong colors. I want it simple (on the minimalist side as much as possible) yet elegant. Very classic lang

Meron naman na kami motif, Seafoam, Coral Peach & Light Gold. Approved naman ni h2b.
Sana lang makapili kami ng theme. Since ito naman ang uso, madami na ding inspo.

Pero may times talaga na gusto ko ang black. Hahah! Tama ka, very classic.

i hope you don't mind, pogi02, if i butt in your conversation and make a suggestion about your theme - how do you and your fiance feel about the beach? or a white-washed house right in the middle of a deserted beach with weather-beaten wooden white furniture? the seafoam and coral colors just bring to my mind this scene. a message-in-a-bottle beach theme perhaps? use green bottles as vases for bundles of baby's breath; some starfish and sea shells on the tables; a curtain of sea shells for the backdrop; some lamps in your shade of green hanging from the ceiling.

Hmmm. Beach colors nga itong napili namin. More appropriate also for a garden themed wedding. BUT, our venue will be indoor and have filipiniana touch, we booked Ibarra's Garden, you may search it if you're not familiar with the place, so that you will have a better picture of it. Heheh! So medyo challenging kung pano namin ibabagay yung chosen colors namin which is ayaw na namin palitan. Hahah!

Actually, I already thought of using green or mint mason jars as part of our centerpieces, then flowers nalang, naimagine ko nga ngayon yung baby's breath, ganda! Also, I was thinking of shabby chic theme pero Im not sure if bagay sa venue since afternoon to evening ang time na gusto namin. So parang madilim ang effect baka di lumutang yung theme.

Another thing, I don't want to hire an event stylist kasi this will be too costly. Gusto ko sana buy nalang ng mga materials like ready-made, na pwede ilagay nalang sa mga tables or ikabit as part of backdrop, yet, I have no confidence in doing it by myself, I really don't have that artistic side like yours sis. Haha. Sad.

i looked through photos of ibarra's garden. it's a beautiful place and i love all the dark wood and the stained glass. you should use them to full effect
how about a vineyard theme? you can still use your mint and green mason jars and incorporate green wine bottles as well and fill them all with white baby's breath and bright coral peach carnations as table centerpieces. put them in clusters like all baby's breath in one bottle then all carnations in another jar. then put the bottles and jars in a nest of dark green leafy vines. you can also have a backdrop wall made out of wood and hang some bottles/jars from it with clusters of flowers, too. your table numbers can also be painted on wine bottles.
