hmm...hermione28, how do you envision your wedding? your fiance has his vision but how about yours? how do you want to see it? a garden-themed wedding doesn't have to be rustic - it can be lush and elegant or it can be shabby chic and romantic

Ang totoo, hindi ko naman dream wedding ang Garden Wedding. Kaso kasi yung area na gusto ko is maganda yung ambiance, tapos exclusive sayo yung venue at mahalaga picturesque yung lugar. Ano bang lugar ang picturesque? So sa garden napunta yung track ko. Haha.

Di ko naman dati gusto yung may theme pa, pero naisip ko, just to make sure i'm right on track, na hindi ako maliligaw pati sa motif, kailangan ko ng theme. Like my sis, Bee (bubuyog) yung theme ng wedding nya. So lahat lang ng Black and Yellow at Honey.

Naisip ko nga dapat sa personality nyong dalawa. Well we like watching movies but I don't want a holywood/movie theme wedding, madalas na yon sa debut! Haha.

maybe you can do a modern twist on the garden theme to move away from the 18th century - how about a japanese zen garden? introduce origami into your decors, make use of japanese paper lanterns, maybe use a collage of japanese parasols as your backdrop? you can hang origami cranes all over your venue. another plus thing about zen gardens is minimalism so you don't have to fill up every bit of space in your venue

sis 120515 nakakabilib suggestions mo, you're helping a lot of sissies here! nakaka-excite ang itsura ng wedding niyo for sure!

For our wedding gusto ko harry potter sana, kaso baka mawalan ako ng groom! hahaha..  kaya kahit alam kong gasgas na, travel theme and tiffany blue and blush pink for our motif. Medyo nahirapan wedding coord namin to make a moodboard for us kasi ayaw niya ng generic elements  to show na travel ang theme namin, pero natuwa ako sa ginawa niya. Subtle way of reflecting the theme through a bible passage, bird's nest and the idea of birds. Parang spring travel na yung samen.

our theme is sparkling rustic with golden leaves as a recurring motif. we'll have lots of string lights, an tissue paper pom poms hanging from the ceiling. i hope we'll be able to pull it off

We'll have autumn romance as a theme. Originally, spring romance talaga kaya lang yung gusto naming motif na light orange is mas okay sa autumn season. We'll also spend less sa flowers pag autumn kesa spring. Sabi nga ni hubby, magwalis na lang kami ng tuyong dahon at gamitin sa venue.

We'll have an afternoon ceremony then dinner reception but I think our theme will go better for a daytime wedding. I am so confused lol. I want a dinner reception and gustong gusto ko din yung theme namin. I don't want to let go of either so i guess i'll just have to find a way to make it work.

What do you think sa Greek Gods and Goddess Theme or something like Athens Greece Theme orAncient Greek Theme, mahirap ba sya achieve? Ang elegant lang kasi ng nakita ko.

And ok lang kaya na decorations and favors lang yung ganun, pero kame at buong entourage hindi?
Naisip ko kasi hindi mo mapapasuot ng Greek God attire si Groom on his own wedding. Haha.

hermione28, I think you can definitely pull together an ancient Greece vibe in a very simple, elegant way. I wouldn't do anything too literal -- lots of softly draped fabric, candles in wreaths of greenery, flowers in urns.

Maybe incorporate a few of the design motifs from that time period, or for a more modern take, small symbols that reference the Greek gods (bow and arrow, trident, grapes, owls -- maybe even lightning bolts as a subtle homage to your love of Harry Potter hehe). I probably would put my bridesmaids in flowy, goddess-inspired gowns though.

hermione28, I think as long as you go for a subtle interpretation, it's easy to achieve. When the theme is super in-your-face, it becomes halata if you have elements that don't "fit" -- but when you just have a few carefully chosen elements, it's very easy to take it in different directions (more modern, more rustic, etc).

so true! subtlety is key. i imagine an all white venue with touches of gold and green. crowns of laurel leaves can be a motif for your invitations and stationery. maybe a golden cornucopia of fruits as your table centerpiece, which can serve both aesthetic and culinary purposes.

Hi mga sis! Wala kasi kaming theme ni h2b sa wedding. What can you say kung ang maging parang motiff/theme namin is white? White bouquet, white floral centerpiece, white linen, white wedding cake, white design of the reception, etc. My gown is color light blue.  Appreciate your inputs mga sis

Wala kami budget for styling so kung ano yun gagawin ni Forest House yun na design ng reception, they are requesting lang kung anong requested style/design/color na gusto namin.

whoopsie! i replied to your post on the other thread. i just suggested to add wooden elements and candles to your venue to complement the all white decor. are you planning to add some diy decors as well - a white paper doily garland strung across the ceiling and a few white lanterns hanging here and there will also give additional oomph to the styling.
