^ cant speak for the city proper, but it rains at least once a day in mactan, pero scattered rains siya. Like you could drive 1 km in rain in a particular area sa mactan..then the next 3 kms would be dry. hahaha and I often see puddles of rain, but havent experienced any actual rain.

But we never had more than 20 minutes of rain for more than twice a day. (yes, our weather in Mactan is so random)

I'm still choosing pa between Cebu and Bohol. If ever sa Cebu ako pumunta, I will stay in Mactan. Ano bang magandang resort aside dun sa mga high end resorts like shangri-la, plantation bay, movenpick?

^sis hindi naman masyadong maulan ngayon sa city proper.  If uulan man mostly sa hating gabi na.  There are some good resorts around Mactan sis, please check Costabella, Pacific Cebu Resort, Sotogrande Hotel & Resort at Vista Mar Beach Resort.
Yung Costabella may katabi siyang resort, yung Maribago Bluewaters.  Affordable lang ang room rates nila at maganda din ang lugar especially sa Costabella at Pacific Cebu Resort.

Sa mga nakapunta na sa kawasan falls,
okay lang ba sadya-in yung falls lang from the City? I mean, bababa kami sa falls pero hindi naka swimming outfit? Haha
Pwede ba sumakay duon sa bamboo flat boat?

^yes sis.. yung iba sa kawasan lang dumederecho. and alam ko may bayad dun sa bamboo flat especially if lalapit ka dun sa falls mismo kung saan bumubuhos yung tubig

tumayo lang ako dun sa bamboo, tapos nagpapicture. wala namang bayad kung ganun lang

Ang ganda kasi ng kawasan falls sa mga Pictures. Baka yun lang puntahan namin, from city-kawasan-balik city. Hahaha.

Okay lang kaya ganun? Parang ang haba ng biyahe tapos sandali lang sa falls, sightseeing lang kasi kami ng parents ko. tee hee!

^^yes sis, sulit naman sa kawasan kahit daytour lang. agahan nyo na lang punta then lunch kayo don, may mga murang kainan naman don mismo malapit sa falls yong mga table. bandang 2pm pwede na kayong bumalik sa city para hindi rin kayo mahirapan sumakay

or do you have any other suggestion where to stay in mactan na may beach but not too expensive? i was initially eyeing shang, crimson, or movenpick but baka hindi kasi pasok sa budget. we're 4 adults + 1 child pala in our group. tia!

@purple_girl: sis yung mga resorts na nimention mo na resorts, child friendly naman.  Yung Best Western Sand is malayo kasi nasa Cordova siya, pero maganda doon kasi spacious ang hotel area.

^hindi ko gusto location ng best western hehe magastos din kaka-taxi. saka ilang days kami don, hindi man lang nagbabago brekky nila. mas ok pa rin sa kin quest kasi tapat lang ng ayala & bayfront/radisson blu tapat lang ng SM

^thanks for the feedback sis! we'll only be staying overnight if ever, the rest of our trip baka sa city na or bantayan. haven't really planned pa kung anong plan namin since october pa naman.

any suggestions on a beach resort na medyo affordable or at least same price range ng best western na ok yung facilities and food + kid friendly?  thanks!

^kung sa mactan medyo pricey sis. sa bantayan ok yong kota beach. don kami nag-stay nong holy week. ngayon mas pinaganda pa sya kasi don shinoshoot ngayon yong movie na "camp sawi"nila arci munoz & sam milby
