just got back from cebu din, we were there last december 20-23. 1st day, stay lang kami sa quest hotel since maaga flight namin manila to cebu. gala sa ayala mall yun po kasi yung pinaka malapit na mall sa hotel namin. 2nd day, cebu city tour with kuya mario. 3rd day is laundry day lol. 4th day oslob whale shark and tumalog falls then lunch sa rico's lechon, yun rico's lechon is so so lang nothing special buti half kilo lang inorder namin. then went back to manila kasi emergency sayang dapat mag bohol pa kami kinabukasan at dapat hanggang ngayon nasa bohol pa din kami.

Done backreading the thread. Sa august pa naman yun na-book namin ni hubby na ticket pero gusto ko na maplano as early as now para mapaghandaan ang finances. Budget trip lang kami ni hubby.

Eto sana yun gusto namin ma-experience
1. oslob + tumalog falls + sumilon island
2. canyoneering
3. city tour

Saturday dating namin 2:30pm, Tuesday 8pm naman alis. Wala pa ako naiisip na itinerary for our day 1, maybe sky adventure sa gabi?
Day 2 yun oslob
Day 3 yun canyoneering
Day 4 city tour derecho pahatid sa airport na

If ganyan ang aming itinerary saan kami dapat maghotel? City ba or kelangan sa province na? Max budget sana 20k. Doable kaya?

Another option namin eh oslob + tumalog falls + sumilon, beach bumming tapos city tour. Saan kaya kami pwede umabot pag ganyan option?

Muslim nga pala asawa ko so siguro hindi kami masyado makakapagfood trip sa Cebu since puro lechon ang mga must-try.

^ You may go to Moalboal after canyoneering.

'Yung city tour naman doable within a couple of hours, not necessarily whole day. I was done in less than 3 hrs (though hindi ito commute, I rented a car).

Pwede itong ganitong iti:

Day 1 - city tour pagdating (pwede kayo pasundo sa airport tapos diretsong tour na)
Day 2 - Oslob + Tumalog + Sumilon
Day 3 - Kawasan + Moalboal
Day 4 - Travel back to city around noon + pasalubong shopping

Sa day 1 lang kayo mag overnight sa city.

^thanks sis! Pag ganyan itinerary, Moalboal na kami magsstay ng day 2 to 4? Tapos early morning ng day 2 travel to Oslob + Tumalog Falls + Sumilon Island then head back to Moalboal resort? Tapos day 3 Kawasan Falls canyoneering.

What if sis kung mabilis lang naman ang city tour, day 4 na namin gawin? Kahit dina kami mag sky adventure, so from the bus terminal city tour na kami then derecho pahatid na sa airport?

^ Sa Oslob kayo overnight day 2 sis. Sa moalboal ang day 3. About 2 hrs ang Oslob to Moalboal.

Bale sa day 3, from Oslob, punta kayo Kawasan, then sa Moalboal and stay there overnight.

Kung sa day 4 kayo mag city tour, kailangan maaga kayong aalis sa Moalboal kasi around 6 hrs ang travel hanggang city. Sayang 'yung lugar sis pero kung hindi niyo bet mag city tour sa day 1, doable din naman.

^naku lagot ako. Ayaw ni hubby ng palipat lipat. Ano sis pwede mo ma-advise na itinerary? Non-negotiable ko yun sa whale shark watching. Yun canyoneering kahit wag na namin gawin, actually di ko pa napapayag si hubby takot kasi yun sa heights tsaka sa tubig. Ako ang gusto talaga mag canyoneering.

My sister wants to go to Oslob and Sumilon during our Dumaguete trip. Malapit lang naman as per blogs. Pero can somebody help me kung ano sasakyan from the port to Oslob? Then pano yung papunta from oslob to port papuntang sumilon? TIA

^^thanks sis! Gusto ko sana yan Mactan beach bumming pero super pricey ng mga resorts. Papaalam ko pa muna ke hubby at baka himatayin siya sa 5k plus na hotel room. Hahahaha..

Ikaw ba yun sis nag stay overnight sa oslob yun homestay? Pwede pa-share saan ka nagstay. Mas gusto ko na yun second plan na derecho na lang oslob para medyo mahaba haba tulog before mag whale watching.

^ Sis kung whaleshark watching at city tour lang naman activities niyo, oks na 'yung budget niyong 20k kahit mag check in kayo sa Mactan.

I stayed in Chateau de Tan-awan, a homestay owned by a Filipina and her American husband. It is right across Tam-Awan Elementary School along the highway so 'yun ang sabihin niyo sa konduktor and they'll know where to drop you.

Walking distance lang siya sa whaleshark watching site. I suggest you go there as early as 6AM para wala pa masyadong tao (at walang photobombers sa photos with the butandings hahaha).

Super okay their breakfast meals, sarap ng banana bread ni ate Venny. May contacts din siya nang habal-habal that you may ride to Tumalog falls. 200 yata ang bayad ko noon, Tumalog + Oslob cuartel.

Try nyo yung BE Resorts in Mactan - nag-daytour kami dun nung November. Php999 per person, includes all amenities (except yung water sports things which you have to pay for) with 3-course lunch na. Yung drinks/food di naman pricey, pero di mo din masabing cheap. We stayed in Cebu near Magellan's Cross - travel time was ~30mins lang per way going to BE. 

You can also check other resorts which offer day tour para beach bumming lang. We chose BE kase IG-friendly yung Kenneth Cobonpue chairs nila hahaha and they had the cheapest rates that day.

Don't misss larsian ito ang best meal namin sa cebu. Tried aa bbq pero mas masarap ng malayo ang larsian. Panalo shake ng aa bbq 55 pesos lang.

Yung sampaguita suites sa plaza garcia hindi ganun ka safe yung area. Though walking distance sa magellnas cross, fort san pedro at bus station. Mas ok pa rin magstay sa may fuente osmena isang dyip lang naman yan going sa mga historical sites 7 pesos.

Medyo overrated ang movenpick plus iba ang treatment nila sa foreigners at samin nung nagstay kami dun. Strict sila samin pero sa foreigner hindi. Siguro laguage barrier hindi ko alam. Strict sila sa proper swimming attire. Pero hindi sila naninita ng foreigner eh tinitignan ko sila or baka isolated case.

Sa pasalubong naman mas murang otap sa may fuente osmena circle factory ng shamrock. Masarap din yung tuyo nila yung malalaki 40 pesos lang kalahating kilo. Chicharon sa carcar kahit sa bus ka bumili masarap pa rin. Saka yung mango juice ng 7d yung naka tetra pack na parang zesto 10 pesos lang. Gaisano mura ang tinda nila ng mga dried mangoes at juice compared sa ibang mall.

We're flying to Cebu tomorrow and staying at the Shangri-La. I know it's Sinulog week but we need to go to the city to buy our ferry tickets. Sobrang traffic na ba going to the city from Mactan? I know it's always traffic pag week days but would it be more so now na Sinulog week?

Tingin ko medyo overrated yung sinasabi na trafik na sa cebu. Nandun kami from dec 29 to january 1. Mas matrafik pa rin sa metro manila ng malayo. Parang trafik sa subdivision yung trafik dun.

Mactan beach to airport around 15-30 mins. City to mactan around 40- 1 hr minutes taxi fare around 220 pesos more or less. Metered taxi naman dun saka nagsusukli sila plus honest ang mga tao sa cebu.

Transpo pwede taxi medyo mahal. Pwede rin jeepney by number coding lang. Ask sa driver kung daan sa ganito or ganun. Ano sasakyan papunta sa ganito ganun. Honest mga tao sa cebu so hindi ka ililigaw at dadayain. Pwede rin habal habal sa mga ibang places.

^thanks for the response sis. Yup, around that time that you were there di gaano traffic kasi walang pasok. And mas ma-traffic pa rin talaga sa Manila.  I'm just worried because it's Sinulog week baka sobra traffic ngayon.

@mama squeak! According to a friend who is based in Cebu, di naman daw ganun ka-traffic pag weekdays (since last week) basta avoid rush hour (AM/PM) - Mactan to pier is still <1hr. And there are also events now after 5pm across the city (di nya alam where exactly), so these contribute na din to the weekday traffic.

^Thanks sis! I'm familiar with their traffic since I'm always there. Ang worry ko lang yung mga events around the city because of Sinulog. Hopefully matapos kami sa isa pang appointment namin ng maaga para makabalik agad sa Mactan.
