Hi everyone. I'm pretty new here. I'm an overseas bride and my future mother-in-law is helping me plan our wedding. We booked Jade for May 2016 as we are planning for 150 guests but I heard that the space is small? I have only seen pictures.. Can anyone comment on that?

Also, I really would much rather get a plated dinner service by K by Cunanan rather than buffet. Thoughts?

You may opt for Silk if 150 because I find Jade a little small. If you want to have stage and dancefloor. If not withstanding that and you opt for sit down dinner it's probably fine. K by Cunanan sit down is fine 30% higher than buffet of course mga 1800-2000 pesos per head

Oh really? We've already made a downpayment for Jade and I'm just waiting for K by Cunanan to release their 2016 plated dinner price. Do you happen to know if Blue Leaf allows the use of a bigger space i.e. Silk with only 150 guests? And if so, how much of a price difference there is? (This is assuming that nobody has booked Silk on May 7 yet).

^hi sis! We booked the Silk Pavillion for 150 guests. They quoted us 140k for Jade and 150k for Silk plus some freebies. Same price regardless of how many guests you have

That's odd, im on plated service with K and the menu/ prices are exactly the same as buffet albeit of course with less food overall. And the only reason our per head cost reached around 1900+ is because of seafood and steak upgrades. :p Try to clarify it with your AE sis.

We want to check Blue Leaf Mc Kinley soon on our vacation. I'm really excited to check their venue. Kate is our contact person there. She's very accommodating and replies agad.

Apart from that I'm looking also sa Enderun and sana we have contact sa Manila Polo Club pero for members I guess.

For their 2015 sit down rate it's 1350 plus 10% vat and 12% SC. The basic is too plain. So if you opt for upgrades it will costs that estimate. And for now 2016 they will change their prices and still waiting for their rates. You must have gotten the 2015 rate pa sparklingjewel.

I'm actually surprised that they don't have the 2016 plated dinner menu yet considering it's already more than halfway through the year. We signed the contract with buffet service for now and Kate told us she will amend the package once K by Cunanan releases an updated menu/price.

Also, does anyone know if the drapes are included in the package with the caterer? If not, how much would it cost? Thank you!

First FT namin for KByC for BlueLeaf next month. Yes contemplating on having a sit down or buffet. They have great packages with Blue Leaf but still thinking to get the venue solo. I like Blue Leaf vibe

@lyr3hs sis according to DTS okay na L&S supplier ni Blue Leaf, she asked for a specific head technician lang which my AE granted naman. i also haven't seen any recent negative feedback sa kanila. according to other suppliers, okay daw ang management ng BL because whenever may nega feedback sa kanila, inaayos nila talaga agad unlike other venues. i know someone getting married there on September, hindi ako invited (lol) pero i can ask naman feedback and hopefully its gonna be good.

i didn't know they also offer carousel draping! have you seen this setup in blue leaf? ive only seen pictures online and im not sure kung sulit the additional 3k for that.

@lourd3ss full ceiling drapes are included sa package with caterer. this is worth 15k if you're getting the venue only.

@msGlobalista dati we booked the venue only but after sooooo much deliberations with both my AE sa BL and caterer, we decided to get the all-in package. in the end, mas naging sulit siya.

By any chance, do you know about the styling of k by Cunanan? They will be the caterer/stylist at our reception. I have pegs in mind that I can send them but just wondering if they are sufficient enough or do I need to get another stylist?

To other sisses, did all of you get a stylist for your wedding in BL? I wonder how the pavillion looks like without a stylist.. baka mapilitan din ako kumuha ng stylist in the end..

@lourd3ss there are lots of pics online sa styling ng KbyC and they're really pretty. though ive attended one wedding na parang so-so lang yung centerpieces, stage, etc. though siguro yun din talaga ang preference ng couple. check ka rin sis sa instagram and wedding blogs, you're gonna find a lot of them there. sa pegs mo siguro better ask your AE kung achieve or not or if you'll need to upgrade.

@lyr3hs sis i cant say for sure kapag sa KbyC, mine kasi is Josiah's and pumayag naman sila. who's your AE ba? better ask them kung pwede.

ive also been to a couple of events sa blue leaf, maganda and elegant naman tingnan even without styling. kahit nga walang drapes maganda pa rin yung ceiling. but that's for me lang naman. i think its required if you have a specific theme in mind. though maybe if we end up with extra money to spare baka kumuha na rin kami ng stylist but definitely not those high end ones.

I booked K in Nov 2014 (buffet) but I contacted my AE a few months ago requesting to change to sitdown na. BTW i am not a Blue Leaf bride ha pero im just saying the buffet package sent to me ended up costing the same lang as buffet. What will cost more will be my styling upgrade with them (from round to all long tables--- additional 2-5k per table for more flowers) but not the food.

To those who has attended or know anyone who had their reception at Blue Leaf already.. kamusta lang L/S and LCD projector nila? I've read in some forums na pangit daw and need ng other supplier.. some say naman na resolved na daw. Can anyone comment on this? TIA!

Any sisses here who opted for LED wall as backdrop? Is it better to do this or have a separate area for couples backdrop/stage and Led wall? What are the pros and cons? Any opinion?

a friend of mine recently attended a wedding here. according to her, okay naman ang in house lights and sounds BUT fail yung projector. sobrang labo daw, nasayang ang SDE ng couple because they couldn't see it.

@lyr3hs we'll have an LED wall but we won't use it as a backdrop. worried ako sa magiging effect nito sa lighting during pictorials. i also dont want to move away from the stage everytime may ipapalabas sa screen, mahirap naman if iangat yung LED wall itself because the ceiling is not that high sa banyan. gusto ko din kasi ng styled backdrop na related sa theme namin but we haven't finalized this yet.
