yes sis ryokan means japanese inn. what I mean is kaya different ang japanese inns/ryokans is because of the service they offer. and also the food. i wasn't pertaining to the direct translation. that link is misleading in a lot of ways. tipping is not a custom in japan.

Anyone in Tokyo / Osaka / Kyoto area as of the moment? Me and my friends will be visiting Japan from Oct- 7 to 15 and we just want to have an idea of the current weather in these said areas so we can plan what clothes to wear! hahahahahaahahahahah..

I was in Tokyo 2 weeks ago and medyo chilly na pero short sleeves/leggings pa rin, plus cardigan at night ^^ Stayed at a nice Airbnb, 1 station away from Shinjuku... don't know if I can post a link here but feel free to message me for it. Look for listings that have the "superhost" badge and read the reviews. First time kong i-try yung Airbnb and I liked it... provided pa ng host yung pocket wifi (it's like 600pesos/day if you rent) and it lasted the whole day. No check in/check out since you pay online. May toiletries, towels, and welcome basket rin. Disadvantages: no free breakfast na meron sa hotels and no cleaning service... I had to clean up before leaving since there's a feedback system hehe.

^super ok nga yung airbnb sa Japan. May free pocket wifi sila nakasave din kami kahit papano sa pag rent ng pocket wifi. Yun nga lang maglilinis ka talaga hehe

Okay naman ang Tokyo Plaza Hotel sis. Very easy to find and just 3 minute walk from Shin Okubo Station of the JR Yamanote Line. If you are not a kpop fan, you'll find the rooms very annoying kasi there are kpop stuff plastered all over the room. haha. Pati pillows mukha ng kpop celeb

I'm on my last day of my 2 1/2 days side trip to Tokyo. I stayed at Gaienmae area, sa
Tokyu Stay. Baseball stadium is in the area and nang pauwi na ako on my first night nakasalubong ko more than a hundred baseball fans nagtatakbuhan papunta Tokyo Metro station.

First day ko walk around Shibuya, Shimbashi and Odaiba. I lined up for Ichiran which I prefer than Ippudo. Nang mapagod maglakad, maple tea sa Cafe Excelsior. Buti na lang malaki ang Lotteria sa Odaiba kaya relaxed lang kumakain ng Shrimp Burger with the boneless fried chicken wings. Odaiba's outlet, at Venus Fort, di ko lang gusto selection of shops. Shibuya 109 maganda din selection ng clothes but mostly autumn and winter clothing na ang benta nila.

Shopping on the second day at Shisui Premium Outlet near Narita. It was hard to look for the bus stop sa Tokyo station for the shuttle that takes you there. 1100 yen fare one way but it was all worth it for the discounts I got. Breakfast and lunch ko sa Deli France within the outlet, mura and masarap. At night I got bored so I went to Asakusa just to look at the temples maski sarado na pero wala lights and madami bantay and pasara na rin souvenir shops.

Mainit sa umaga pero malakas hangin sa gabi.

Just got back from our trip last night and it was fun! Tama, Tokyo weather is not that cold except during evenings and early mornings. Mid morning to afternoon, mainit and sunny and you can still wear shorts and sandals. For night, bring a cardigan nalang or a hoodie. I love the weather since kahit sunny, di humid. No wonder Japanese people look fresh plus they can wear the banged hair styles and not to worry about it sticking in their forehead.

We stayed at the Ueno First City Hotel and the location was superb! We were very much near the Fushimi Metro Station (like 3 mins away), the Kaiser Sky Train which is your access to and from Narita and the JP and Metro Ueno stations ( around 10 mins na leisurely walk). The service is also very good. The double room is kind of cramped for 2 people but for the price that we got from Booking.com (around 9000 plus for 3 nights), steal na yun for such benefits and Tokyo standards. Highly recommended!

can you still  wear shorts? I will be there this oct-7 and I have not packed my clothes since I don't know what to bring.hahahahahahaha

I know it is autumn already but I still see a lot of people in instagram wearing shorts, tshirt and hehe ayaw ko naman panlamig lahat ng dala ko sabah pwde pa pala kht mga tshirt lang.hahaha

I did check accuweather already but iba padin if may updates from someone who came from japan or is currently in japan.

^depends din sa tolerance mo sa heat. I did not see Japanese females wearing shorts or short skirts last week, nakikita ko iba nationalities ang may suot niyan. Ako naiinitan na ako sa daytime and naka-light dress ako. Sa gabi malamig pero mabilis ako maglakad kaya hindi ko masyado ramdam.

Just got back from our Japan trip yesterday. Ang sarap ng trip namin pero nakakapagod! We stayed there for 23 days. We went to Osaka and Kyoto, pero by car lang. so, road trip talaga!

Hindi namin kinaya ang pila ng Harry Potter sa USJ, 5 hours kasi sya! So, nagtour nalang kame sa castle at namili ng konting HP goodies. Sa sobrang daming tayo, HP castle, Spiderman at Terminator lang ang napasok namin. nakakatuwa nung pagabe na, kasi Halloween na, so ang dameng nagkalat na 'zombies' sa daan, at biglang manggugulat ng mga tourists! Parang street show sa loob ng USJ.

Kyoto, ang ganda lang!

Sa Tokyo, dun halos kame nagstay kasi dun kame tumira. We went to Asakusa, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Roppongi, Harajuku, Akihabara, Odaiba, Tokyo Bay Oasis, Mt. Fuji, Disneyland, etc.

Went to Robot Restaurant, tried Ippudo, bought shirts from Comme des Garcons (much cheaper there), Outlet shopping in Mitsui outlet park, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Sky Tree, my son had a pictorial wearing Hakama (traditional Japanese clothing for men).. Nag hoard ng Cure, Hadalabo, shiseido perfect whip, K Palette, etc

Excess baggage kame nung pabalik ng Dubai. Ang dame naming chocolates, cup noodles, toiletries, pampa beauty na bitbit that we had to leave 2 boxes of cup noodles pa sa Japan kasi excess kame ng 5 kgs and they want us to pay almost 20,000 yen for those. kaya iniwan nalang namin!

Hi. Can someone tell me if ANA airlines (All Nippon Airways) is a good/safe airlines? Among the airlines i've looked into, It gave us the best rates (due to its promo). Question is, is it safe to use? Is it the 2nd airline of Japan much like what Cebu Pacific is for the Philippines?

I've looked into Cebupacific, PAL, Japan Airlines, ANA(All Nippon Airways), Delta air.

Just got back from my trip 1.5 weeks ago. I enjoyed Tokyo more than Osaka-Kyoto Shinjuku and Shibuya fave ko. Ang daming tao sa Takeshita Dori Street! Just visited Daiso there and umalis na kami. Pero grabe din ang tao sa Harajuku station. Muntik na naming lakarin papuntang nearest station kaso 1km+ pa. Good thing is, walang nagtutulakan.

Also, 4 hours kami to Mt. Fuji kasi traffic. Another 4 hours pauwi. Then walang masakyan sa Fuji-Q Highlands kasi 3hrs+ ang pila sa rollercoasters. Hindi din makita yun Mt. Fuji kasi cloudy. It's not exactly a waste of time kasi enjoy pa din naman sa Lake Kawaguchiko
