@shygirlme. thanks. i immediately called czarina after reading your reply ang taas na 39.37 na ang yen. when ka bumili? mataas talaga ngayon pati US$. anyway, sa november pa naman ang trip namin. sana bumaba ulit.

^last month sis around aug.11 and yes .39 na now tumaas bigla. I remember yung natira namin yen pinapalitan namin nasa .37 na.

^I remember posting about this 2 months ago.  Tumaas na nga pala ulit. Last July, I was able to buy JPY at .3715. If this upward trend continues for another 2 weeks, baka bumili na ako for my November trip. Sayang din 'yung kaunting mase-save.

0.3885 bili ko sa Czarina 2 weeks ago. Maaga rin ako nag-apply ng visa para makabili agad! Tingin ko pataas na talaga siya

according to banks here mukhang pataas na nga muna. ang daming ganap sa economy ng japan mukhang hindi na nila itutuloy ang pagbaba ng yen forever. haha

thank you sis. this is very informative.. i changed na the routes. mag Narita express na lang kame as you suggested, 3.5k+ JPY one way, meron ako nakita na N'Ex tokyo round trip for 4000 JPY lang and good for 14 days so eto ang gagamitin namin since 4 days lang naman kame

also, sa fujiten snow resort na lang kame pupunta instead of snow town yeti bec mas malapit sya from our hotel. from kawaguchiko, mag taxi na lang kame

my question is, anong bus ang pwedeng sakyan from Fuji-Q highland to kawaguchiko? pwede ba yung mga highway bus na nagbababa sa fuji-q ang sakyan namin? can we use pasmo card sa bus na to?

^ As far as I know, there is a Fuji-Q Highland train station. One stop lang to Kawaguchiko. Not sure about the buses plying the same route. Meron naman siguro.

^thanks sis. i  just checked fujiten snow resort wont open until mid december, so sa snow town yeti na lang talaga kame pupunta since october pa lang open na sila.

regarding wifi pala, Reli tours offer some wifi device kasi for a fee. i wonder if meron din ba sa narita and how much sya?

Planning our Tokyo trip (around end of March 2016) as early as now.  So far the trip would go like this:

5D4N
Day 1 around the hotel lang or Ueno Park
Day 2 Disney Sea
Day 3 Harajuku and Shibuya area
Day 4 Odaiba area
Day 5 back to Manila

I am having trouble where to stay na merong triple room. Based on the areas we're going, any suggestions which area to stay? Initially, I was thinking Ueno since mas malapit sa airport but baka may iba pa kayong input. Thanks in advance.

BTW, we're 2 adults and 1 10-year-old kid.

@tinmuning: Ok sa Ueno and even in touristy areas (Shibuya, Shinjuku, etc.). As long as malapit sa train station, going aound isn't that much of a hassle. Lalo na 10 years old na 'yung kasama n'yong kid.  Why not try AirBnB for your accommodation? We stayed in a 1-bedroom upscale apartment near Fudomae station when we were in Tokyo last March. It's 2 (or 3) stations away lang from Shibuya. What's nice about that place was its location. Relatively quiet, it being a predominantly residential area. Along Meguro River din kung saan lined yung river bank ng cherry blossom trees.  May mga grocery stores sa area at may 24/7 na Matsuya and convenience stores din. Make sure lang to read the reviews of the property before booking it!

About your itinerary, you can do Harajuku, Shibuya, and Odaiba in one day. Actually, I'd suggest na magstart kayo sa Shinjuku Gyoen Park (if you happen to visit during sakura season), then Odaiba early in the afternoon tapos Harajuku and Shibuya from late afternoon to early evening!

@tinmuning: Don't worry, legit naman ang AirBnB. Pero I understand your concern. Medyo apprehensive din ako the first time I tried AirBnB. Buti naman wala pa ako/kaming naging problems with them so far. Ang maganda kasi with AirBnB, papasok lang 'yung transaction 24 hours after ng stay n'yo sa property. So if may complaints kayo or problem with your accommodation, pwede n'yo silang macontact.

@glamorous_aisha: Japanican is a popular choice for Fuji day trips. Medyo pricey nga lang pero positive naman ang feedbacks generally. Meron din yatang offers ang Klook.

^ we booked Mt. Fuji tour via Japanican din. Parang nasa JPY13700 per pax yata yun before, if tama naalala ko.

is it recommended mag tour kesa mag DIY? it will be our first time in Japan so nireresearch ko talaga bawat detail and schedule ng transportation, etc no problem naman sa money pero syempre kung may mas makakatipid mas ok.

our plan is to do the snow and onsen and fuji-q

BTW, any recommended food place in fuji-q and shinjuku?

i am into skincare and makeup. to be specific, i wanna try yung RMK foundation, and some japanese skin care sana. i want din shiseido. mas mura ba yun dun?

I just got back from Tokyo last Saturday. We were there for 4 days and only on our last day lang umaraw. Nakakapagod maglakwatsa habang ang lakas ng ulan. We were not able to see some places on our itinerary like yung may mga observatory, kase wala naman daw makikita kung maraming clouds. Tapos on the day ng flight back namin to Manila, at 550am, nag earthquake, medyo malakas! Sobrang kaba ko. Haha

^Re: Shiseido, we were able to drop by their store in Ginza. Don kami namili ng make-up. Yung ibang shiseido na drug store brands like the facial foam and tsubaki line, meron naman yata kahit saan. Bumili kami sa Don Quijote in Shinjuku and Shibuya.

^^for rmk and shiseido (cosmetics?) got to isetan in shinjuku. sa skincare prodcuts depende kung dept store brands or drugstore.
