Experience ko naman was with Japan Airlines, flying to Singapore, Itami to Haneda domestic to Haneda International. I thought okay na ang one hour 45 minutes transit but unfortunately the flight was delayed by 45 minutes due to snow. Nakakapagod kasi takbo ako ng takbo ayun pala delayed din flight to Singapore.

osaka lang ba nasa itinerary mo sis?

kahit one hour lang ang transit super big difference pa din sa pagod ang may transit sa direct sis. international flight ng cebu pac wala ako naging problema. saka hindi ba mas mahal yung ticket kung ganyan na transit?

never tried the manila osaka route but tried ko na narita to manila route for several times. okay naman sila.

Hi sis!

Our plan is to visit Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto so I plan to book sana Manila-Narita-Osaka-Manila OR Manila-Osaka-Narita-Manila na route. We're thinking na with this route, we don't need to purchase the JR pass (7 days) anymore. We'll just get a one-way Shinkansen ticket to Osaka from Tokyo (OR Osaka to Tokyo if ever arrival is in Osaka), just to experience riding the bullet train.

I see nga na CebuPac's flight schedule is workable for us kaso if price daw is not too far from ANA's price (which is full service airline), medyo mahal/di sulit if I get the CebuPac flight. My dilemma lang with ANA kase is there is no direct flight To/From Osaka, both ways will be connecting via Haneda. But if di hassle yung transfer, baka pwede ko na din i-consider. First time to do connecting flights kase and first time in Japan too kaya I can't picture how tedious or how easy the transfer will be. Hope ladies out there who has the experience can enlighten me on this. All comments/inputs are welcome.

^Why don't you take PAL? We did MNL-NRT-KIX-MNL last March. Better than ANA coz direct flight na

^ Sobrang mahal ng tix sa PAL sis sa preferred travel dates namin. Almost double.

^ ako talaga, hanggat maaari, if direct flight is available, then direct flight na. Sayang din kasi ang oras spent on layovers + potential delays, which may cause some hassle pa with connecting flights.

For November, we booked Manila-Narita & Osaka-Manila through Cebupac. Maganda kasi sched e. Dating sa Narita ng before lunch. Then aalis sa Osaka ng late-night. So hindi sayang yung first day and last day, kahit papano e may magagawa pa.

It's a short flight anyway so di masyado factor sa amin na walang inflight entertainment or walang meals. We can watch a movie or some episodes of tv series using our ipad naman. Or read a book. Or sleep, etc. As for food, we can buy at the airport, or buy inflight.

When are your travel dates? Lately nag promo yung PAL, my friend was able to get a RT ticket to Japan for only 11k nett. You might want to check on their booking offices din. Minsan their prices are cheaper compared to online rates.

I would not suggest on booking that connecting flight kasi hassle talaga. I-book mo na lang Cebupac instead

Di ko na maremember exact amount, pero less than 40k for 2 adults and 1 infant (lap). With reserved seats and 20k baggage per adult. Walang ongoing promo when i booked e, so yan yung usual price nila online that time. 3rd week of Nov ang alis.

^^ Next year pa plan namin to travel, around Holy Week. So I think di na magse-sale for those travel dates because it's peak season.

Anyway, I'll give myself a little more time, maybe until next month, baka magkaroon ng promo ang CebuPac or PAL...

^Sis bagaholic_chewy, same ng route mo yung kino-consider ko with CebuPac (MNl-NRT-KIX-MNL) na when I compared price with ANA, P1k+ lang ang difference kaya lang with ANA may transfer nga. Hayyy...

There's usually a PAL travel fair around Oct or Nov where prices are at 50% off.

sis travelling daisy: my suggestion just buy one way tickets with direct flights magkaibang airlines. same price lang din naman. and IMO it's only a four hour flight, hindi naman ganon kalaking difference services with cebu pac and ana. yes of course, ANA's customer service is really good. Pero for me nga actually mas gusto ko service ng Cebu pac than PAL kapag international flights.

at kung around holy week baka sakura season na din yun so malamang walang promo for that period.

^I agree with you sis. Last April wala kami nakuhang promo from Ceb Pac at ibang airlines. Normally, yung seatsale ng Ceb Pac kasi until end of March lang. So hindi macocover ang Sakura Season talaga, maybe yung early bloom pwede pa. Nagpunta din ako sa PAL Travel Expo 2014 pero wala na din, kahit pa first day of fair exclusive to Mastercard holders pa yun. Ang binibigay sakin is 3rd week of March so hindi abot sa Sakura, 16K RT yun. So I ended up booking with Jetstar (direct flight to Osaka), March 27 - April 4, 2015 sakto sa Sakura from first to full boom 12K ang RT.

mga sis plan namin mag DIY hindi ba kami mahihirapan since we are group of adults(with 3 seniors) and 1 child (7 yr)....point of entry namin narita out osaka.......ano ba card maganda buy dun pan purchase ng mga bullet trains namin?

May seat sale din na hagip ang sakura season, sisses!  I was able to book a RT ticket to Incheon for 3,500+ (a few years ago) and for Osaka (this year) for 7,600+. Lahat devoted for the cherry blossoms. Meron yan! Tiwala lang.

I will go to Tokyo again for 2 days in two months this time as a solo traveller.

Has anyone gone to an onsen alone? Nakakailang ba with other people?

^i always go to onsens alone sis. basta wag ka lang masyadong titingin sa kanila. wala naman pakialamanan sa onsen. medyo weird talaga siguro for pinoys sanayan lang na maging comfortable. just be careful to observe the rules in the onsens. makakagalitan ka ng matatanda. haha.

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if nasa tamang thread ako. I just want to ask kung ano experience nyo sa immigration dito sa Pinas and sa Narita Airport. I was approved SE visa today and I'm planning to go to Tokyo sa August 8 hanggang August 22. 9th anniversary namin ng bf ko who works there and first time ko na mag travel abroad. I have funds naman pero balak ko kasi mag stay sa apartment ng bf ko. Medyo worried ako kung kelangan ko i disclose na sa kanya ako mag stay kasi wala akong mga docs to present except photos and our convos.

Need your advice badly. Salamat po.
