^sparklingjewel We're also having a sit-down dinner catered by KbyC. Pero sabi ng AE ko from Blue Leaf wala pa daw 2016 price, sa December pa daw ire-release. Can you pm me KbyC's 2015 rates? And how much were the additional appetizers? Ganun din kasi balak ko gawin eh. TIA!

sparklingjewel i would probably rate it at 7/10. i would like to recommend the chocolate hazelnut cannoli but the taste might be redundant with the quezo de bola cheesecake and the picatoses with tsokolate is a better match.

finally done with mock up earlier with lori. was very happy with the turnout. so i guess when it comes to the stylists (nina and lori) for sure both of them can deliver.

Sis thanks-- fiance will find a way daw to taste the picatostes before we finalize hehe. Still kinda sad the white choco didnt make it (ayaw din ng AE ko talaga kasi too similar---and the sloppy slice is sad).

The sitdown is more expensive because technically there's a lot less food served--- the cost goes to the many more extra waiters who will serve your food.

^Correct me if I'm wrong, when we had our initial FT with KbyC, I was told by my AE Rann, na since madami daw our ninongs and ninangs, we have to increase the waiters-as the VIPs a sitdown. And it's like P400 additional per waiter. Plus, longer VIP tables mean more centrepieces as well.  Kaya we will be paying for the manpower hehe. Tama ba yun?

sparklingjewel i would agree that the sloppy slice looks sad if plated. for buffet daw kasi they will serve it whole then your guests would slice it themselves. you might also consider some color if you would like nice looking plates. although di ko rin type yung fruits in skewers with balsamic mist. maybe you can ask your AE if you can do a dessert tasting lang instead of a full course food tasting? then pick certain desserts as your candidates and which one would go well in looks and in taste with the quezo de bola cheesecake.

Missus Otheir rule is for every 50 guests you get 10 people in the VIP. So lets say its 150 guests then you can have 30 guests in the VIP. Any headcount in excess will have additional charges. For VIP though its Russian service. Its different than the actual plated sit down menu. In Russian service they will serve the food in big plates then each guest will get the food they want and put it on the plate (like how they do it in Downton Abbey if you watch that show). Sit down would be each dish will be plated in the kitchen then served by course. Sit down would cost more than buffet due to the extra manpower needed (cooks who will plate the dishes plus waiters). For the styling upgrade it depends on your peg but yes long tables usually mean more centerpieces. But usually the extra centerpieces that will end up with extra cost is when you opt for long tables instead of round ones for the guest tables. For VIP, baka pwede pa gawan ng paraan.

^ oh is it Russian service?  I was told by Rann it would be sitdown for our 30 something plus VIP table.  I guess I have to clarify this with her as our last talk was when I went home last March. Thanks for the clarification sis.

Haven't checked in here for a while. Interesting read, I must say.

sparklingjewel We have a number of similar food in the menu. Excited for your wedding. :)

For those who are worried by some negative reviews, tama si fionaapple, it would be best to trust your chosen suppliers. There will always be some negative things to say but you chose them because you believed in their capabilities. Just make sure to have an open communication with them and address all your concerns directly to your AE.

I had my wedding this April and KbyC will always be one of my favorite suppliers. Our AE, Jam, was there all throughout our event. She was a joy to work with from preps to the end of our party. She gave life to our vision and exceeded our expectations. I couldn't have had a better AE.

Cliche as it may sound, let go on the day of your wedding. Don't sweat the small stuff and focus your energy to the thought of marrying the love of your life with your family and loved ones.

Happy preps, everyone!  :)

More likely than not, if you do longer long tables (VIP or guest) you will be asked to upgrade the centerpieces. Kasi one bunch cant fill a long table nicely. We're going for all long tables, and so far i'll have to add about 35-45k for just the centerpiece upgrades for my 220-240 pax. Madami pa akong other extra costs sa kanila haha sana nagstylist nalang din pala ako. Ang common/basic for me ng KbyC. But bahala na.

The sitdown didnt have an impact on my cost bec less food more manpower i guess it evened out. I did request additional waiter though its 600/head.

Hi, Sisses -

I will have my final FT on Thursday. Is it true that Php 1,500/table na upgrade for long tables? I only budgeted for 1K sana. I will just have flowers and candles all throughout. No other fancy styling.

Thanks!

^That would really depend on your stylist and what she envisions. I'm adding 3k for every 18 heads.. all long guest tables also. I assume the VIP upgrade might cost a bit more.

^My stylist wasn't able to fully mock-up the chosen materials during my final FT. Kumbaga she just showed me a sample setup based on my peg and i told her what i didnt like and what i did like but she no longer made adjustments. She showed me the choices for linens also and i just chose there.

Hi! Booked K by C during the bridal fair to take advantage of the 3 free desserts they were offering.

Any favorite desserts from KbyC? Was served 4 during the initial food tasting and only considering 2 of the 4. Didn't like the ensaymada bread pudding and mango coco tiramisu. Open to suggestions while building a menu.

During my final ft, parang ganyan din ang nangyari. I told jam that I want her to do a full mock up. So she said we can set another schedule for that. We did and she made the full mockup for me. No more food tasting. Just a meeting on the setup. Same venue at greenmeadows

Not really a fan of white chocolate. Do they have a good chocolate based dessert?

The creme brulee sounds good but might be too similar to the coffee panna cotta.
