Caterer Review : K by Cunanan PART 3

^wednesdei, I had the same experience.. we weren't exactly happy with the initial FT lalo na the main courses. Hindi ako nagFT kay Bizu kasi we realized di ko rin afford yung gusto kong menu sa rate nya. But im sure if we did we would have ended up splurging to book them.

Styling savings lang dahilan kaya we booked K. I am still hopeful that with the final FT where I will get to choose the dishes to be offered, sana mas ok na. We selected upgrades on the beef (tenderloin) and seafood (salmon or grilled prawns), hopefully it will be enough. Kasi kung hinde, naku.. dont know what to do. Maybe il be forced to add a lechong baka para may magustuhan naman sila?

Hi sisses we attended a wedding weeks ago. Hala anong nangyari sa k by cunanan. Super tipid ng food na sinerve. talagang bibigyan lang namin ng 1/5 rating. Un baked fish in cream na may almonds hala ang pangit ng lasa. Pati yung may balsamic sauce sabi ng daddy ko ano daw ba yun ang sama ng lasa nawalan sila ng gana. Yung auntie namin na nasa same table sobrang disappointed din at mukang magbobook nalang sya sa passion cooks para sa catering on her daughter's debut

@sparklingjewel, we had our final FT yesterday, sobrang we liked the tenderloin beef in ponzu sauce. Nagpa upgrade kami for VIPs. I also liked the salmon risotto. I didn't like some of their mains that I've tasted. Those that I did like, we need to upgrade. Marami kaming nagustuhan sa appetizers though ☺

^sis alarming talaga yun k by C natakot na nga din yung sister ko kasi  siya andun din sa wedding. Ang daddy naman pinapatanong magkano na ang nabayaran at papalitan nalang niya kesa magutom yung guests sa wedding. Yung tita ko naman nakausap na yung coordinator ng debut ng daughter nya at winarn nga na nagtitipid na nga daw sa food ang k by c kaya lalo pag sakto ang dumating na guests mangangailangan talaga ng buffer. Like kung 120 ang invited, kahit pang 140 ang i-order kung talagang booked na sa k by c at huwag daw umasa sa sinasabi nilang buffer. Pero parang hindi na sila ibobook ng tita ko dahil sa wedding na napuntahan namin na iyon, hindi din nya nagustuhan ang food lalo nadaw ang soup parang tubig lang daw, hindi ko kasi natikman dahil hindi ako nagfood. Yun din ang reason ko kung bakit gusto kong gustuhin ang K by Cunanan kasi ang ganda ng styling nila and presentation ng food. Malaki din kasi matitipid namin sa styling if sila ang kunin naming caterer.

I emailed my AE (Betina) and asked for a 2nd FT. Gusto ko kasi talaga na masigurado na type ko yung food na iseserve bago ako mag commit. Ayoko na baka sa Final FT eh wala pa din akong type. She said naman we could arrange one and kami na mamimili ng dishes. Kaya research to the max ako ng best sellers nila para yun na lang ang ipaserve ko sa 2nd FT namin. Hay!

Sinerve din sa initial FT namin yan, yung Baked Fish in Cream with Slivered Almonds and hindi ko din siya type! Actually, lahat ng sinerve sa amin na main dishes nung initial FT di ko type. Yung mga appetizers lang ang gusto ko.

^sis sobrang hindi masarap yung baked fish in cream with almonds na yun ano? Kala ko nga mali ang luto, hindi lang pala ako at ang mga guests ang di nasarapan, kahit dito sa gt pala haha

Natatakot na kami mga sis. Sit down pa naman kami. Huhuhuhu! Luckily, we liked our initial FT naman.

Or taste is subjective? Depende talaga.

Thank you so much for answering two of my menu items, this helps me a lot! Sure upgrade na naman kami sa tenderloin (kasi di acceptable sa relatives ng fiance pag hindi..) but sa salmon w/risotto torn pa kung eto or yung honey nut prawns. Lahat kasi favorite yung prawns but when i tasted it so-so lang (di naman lasang mahal) saka di rin ok sakin itsura eh Siguro magsalmon na nga lang kami. Anyway paparequest ko both sa final FT.

Ang nagustuhan ko lang na main nila na hindi ko na kailangan mag upgrade is yung baked penne. Maybe you girls can also ask your respective AE's what their bestsellers are, and add them to your food choices come your final FT. They will serve naman all your food choices. And yes I agree that taste is subjective. My fiance liked their osso bucco but I didn't. There are lots of raves here about their white chocolate cake, but I didn't like it that much as well.

I'm actually concerned about the food not being enough. Something that will definitely discuss with my AE when we meet during the final food tasting in a few weeks. My mom has been constantly nagging me to make sure di mabibitin yung food.

I emailed our AE reg the bad reviews here and there, and the response that I got is that they can't please everyone. And yes its true that taste can be subjective... Haay, sana hindi bitin sa foods. Let's see come this wedding months, sana mas okey ang response sa kanila

Yes please let's update each other. I'm thinking twice na tuloy and if ever change my caterer if constant na ganun but sana huwag kasi nasa budget na kami. Or else I'll go for Bizu na talaga from sitdown to buffet na kami of ever huhuhuhu!

Sige sisses let us update each other. Sana manlang medyo less defensive yung reply ng kbyC na we cant please everyone. Sana manlang optimistic din, na we will continuously improve our food to please majority of the guests even if we cant please everyone. Tsaka lahat kami sa table napansin yung pagkafail nung food, hindi naman kami iisang dila diba. Pero hope for the best sisses!

What the hell, that is not the right way to manage clients. :s I was expecting if notified they would make an effort to you know, make sure each dish actually tastes better for future brides and check the food quantities. I shall notify my AE as well. It's unacceptable sakin na after paying a premium unsatisfactory padin.

Wowwhoah, this is so alarming, i need to tell this to my friend or else maiiyak si bride. Ako pa naman nagrecommend sa kanya nito, nakakahiya naman yung nangyari na yan, 200 pax pa naman guests nila.
