sis tinapay, ako since last year pa ako nagpapaschedule ng food tasting sa kanila, but since hindi sila available ng December hindi ako nakapagpafood tasting.  Yung schedule ko last March, since I went home para mag asikaso ng ilan pang wedding requirements, I made sure na January pa lang eh nakapagpa schedule na ako for March.  And they only gave me one day. Yun lang daw yung open during that time na nasa Pinas ako.  So I took it na.

One thing I have learned on dealing with KbyC eh you have to book them early if you want to be scheduled for meetings, kasi they are very busy.  As in months in advance. And you have to be vigilant in communicating with them.  Lalo na ako since overseas brides, talagang by emails lang ang communication.  Kaya kinukulit ko sila.  Pag hindi sumagot, uulitin ko yung email ko baka kasi natabunan na.  Best of lucks in your preps lalo na mga 2015 brides   Cheers

^peanutbuttercups We're looking at doing the all long tables setup. Mas maaksaya lang nga siya sa space and my reception venue will be able to hold less people, kaya lang tentative pa kung kasya padin sa # of guests ko. And yes, have to upgrade the styling daw para dumami yung centerpieces. Fiance and I are still thinking if its worth the extra expense... this is all for pictures and overall aura lang naman. Also also consider doing sitdown instead of buffet pag magrectangular tables para they dont have to get out from their seats na tabi tabi.

How near the wedding did you guys decide your layout? Parang i need my OTD's help kasi on this decision She's coming in to help October pa!

^you can request k by c's rectangular table lay out muna for your venue, email mo lang your AE then they'll send it right away. If ok or di ok sa inyo ni fiancé the lay out,  you can discuss that with your coordinator then have it rearranged according to your preference.. before the final FT with caterer, you should have the final head count and proper seating arrangements ready.. so that during the detailing, you can tell the AE about the changes you wanted to happen.

what I did naman is basically the same. Yesterday ko lang natapos ang final head count and seating arrangement because of late RSVPs.. and we've only got roughly 3 weeks now before the wedding . (If you could do it earlier, much better.) Our final FT is 2 weeks before the wedding kasi.. hehe!

sis peanutbuttercups i think it might depend din with how long the tables you want, the extra upgrades and types of flowers to be used. They can give alternatives for cheaper flowers if you want. When I asked sa bridal fair in megamall they gave me other options to lower the cost. Pero yun lang, rectangular tables will cost you more plus eat up more space. All depends on preference. I booked them sa fair and they held the date for me until the nearest fair. Sayang ang extra free desserts, at least I can now have a dessert table since 5 na yun

Hi, Girls -

Tomorrow is our food tasting. I've been a delinquent wedding planner. As in I literally stopped prepping for 1-2 months now. But now I am getting back on track since I only have 7 months to go!

I cancelled on Rann last March because of work stuff. Now we have to pay 2K for the FT reservation. Oh well. Took notes of all the must-taste foodies in your list.

Btw - do I need to show to Rann na all my styling details later? Or it can follow? Thanks!

HI sis, it would be better if you can, then she can show you a slight mockup of what they have.  What I did was, a week prior to my initial food tasting, I had sent her all my pegs, and then when we were talking about the designs and what-nots and must haves for the wedding recption style and after all the note taking, she will present you with what their basic styling would look like.  You will also be talking about added costs especially if you'll have a longer VIP table and such. Prepare your questions, and take down notes para you'll remember it 6 months down the road. And take pictures and comments on your food, para at least maalala mo sa final food tasting nyo kung ano gusto mo hehe.

Also, mejo nanamlay ako mag search hehe, kasi we're planning to book venue only of Mango Farm, may discount kasi if venue only and weekday wedding. Tinamlay lang ako of extra costs, 10% service charge, 12% vat and the extra 10% for the corkage fee. 32% additional huhubells!

^i read somewhere na they can waive the 12% vat if you dont issue a receipt? not sure ha ask mo na lang baka pumayag hehe. compute niyo muna sis if cheaper pa rin ba na venue only sa mango farm + caterer or nakapackage?

Yung friend ko weekday wedding at Mango Farm and KbyC caterer, cheaper daw than nakapackage. KbyC can waive the 12% VAT if you don't need the receipt.

Waaahh.. I really want to have honey nut prawns for our wedding, pero ayaw ni h2b kasi dagdag gastos daw for the upgrade. Pero ipipilit ko talaga yun! Sabi ko its my non-negotiable. Hahaha..
