Oil Price Hike for 2015

I am not really happy with the recent Oil Price hike, if we look at it closely they have not correctly adjusted the roll back, may mas baba pa dapat, we were just overwhelmed with how the oil priced decreased at the later part of 2014, pero as for my research dapat aabot pa ng as low as 17-18 php per liter ang diesel, and now kaunti adjustment lang biglang oil price hike agad. Oil companies as if taking advantage of the news regarding the Fallen 44 investigation. The government that we are in right now is not protecting the betterment of the entire Filipino people welfare but on the other hand protecting the betterment of the private businessman.

Nakakalungkot. Hindi pa nga masyadong na eenjoy ang pagbaba ng gasolina tumataas na naman. Hay buhay. Lalo na sa mga commuters eh di naman agad2 binababa ang pamasahe lalo na sa mga bus at taxi. Tapos kung tataasan ang bilis lang.

We should also look at the other factors affecting pricing. Malaki talaga adjustment sa pricing kaya malaki din tinaas sa tin. Nung rollback, may mga times din na malalaki rollback, 2 peso or more. Luging lugi na nga dealers.

Also, ang basis ng pricing dito sa tin is MOPS and not Brent or WTI.

imho hindi kasiya siya pano nila imanage oil prices sa manila, whether big or small, over a short period or long period...

kasi sa ibang bansa, pag long period ang price fall, makikita niya sa presyo ng bilihin na bumababa din.

remember noong late 2005 and 2006 when prices shot up due to the increase in fuel prices? business sector was complaining di ba? tapos nagmahalan na ang prices and i remember at the peak of these, the premium gasoline fuel (ie Shell velocity) was almost 60 pesos per liter. now fuel is at the 30 peso range. so dapat prices should be someway down naman kahit konti. but nope.

Right. magtataas na ulit ang presyo ng gas di pa din bumababa ang presyo ng mga bilihin. wala lang. kung tataas ang gas taasan lahat. kung bababa wala ng sumusunod.

The worst part is pag nagtaas ulit ng same price like at around 2013 ang gas price tataas ulit ang bilihin pero nung bumaba ang gas walang adjustment, tapos ang pamasahe na 7.50php, ganun pa rin ang singil ng mga driver...

Hindi balance ang pagbaba at pagtaas ng presyo ng gas at bilihin dito sa bansa natin..

I remember watching a tv show in pinas, it was composed of lawyers from Globe and Smart telecoms.

this was when Sun Cellular introduced the Unlimited concept.

isaaaanng katutak na dakdak maririnig mo from those lawyers.

kesa ganito daw, kesa ganun. illegal this, illegal that. lugi this. lugi that.

what happened next? hindi ba't sumabay na din sila? the rest is history.

these people will always make up excuses to get money from pinoys. kaya hindi mo masisisi marami asar sa oligarchs. let foreign companies come in without the need for partnering with pinoys.

^sinabi mo pa sis! pag naririnig ko yan sa balita umiinit talaga ang ulo ko. parang araw araw na lang. tapos kung rollback 10 centavos pag tataas piso!

lalo pa yata magtataas kapag lahat na nag ooffer ng euro 4 fuel.... oh well, kapag nagtataas ang fuel lahat na sa pilipinas magtataas, except sweldo LOL

funny i was just discussing this kanina with SO on the way to work. sabi ko pa, it seems na they're taking advantage of the seasons palagi. tapos fluctuating like crazy. i am from a financial industry-related companies where we get to know discussions about the quarterly results from companies overseas (U.S., Europe, Asia, etc.) and they all say na we don't know what will happen until the fuel prices change, but for now what we see is that this is going to last longer. so bakit dito sa atin ang weird lang samantalang overseas they foresee na long period ang ganitong effect. hay nako, nakakainis lang kasi they're not taking care of the citizens.

^yes sis, I am closely checking how the fuel price outside the country and it seems stable nung nagkaroon ng mga hearing sa SAF out of nowhere biglang nagtaas ng piso halos every week,  taking advantage at it's finest talaga sila, ngayong rollback again then price hike, ginagawang bobo mga Pilipino..

hopefully, pag operational na bagong planta ng petron e bumaba price. with the new technology (na actually e matagal ng meron sa ibang bansa), mas magiging efficient ang pag refine ng oil. right now kasi, 40% lang ang nagiging oil then yung 60% e latak. with the new technology, halos 99% ang pwedeng iproduce as oil.

ang kinakainis ko, yung neda chief gustong taasan excise tax ng oil kasi mura daw ngayon. bigyang atensiyon kaya muna nila yung mga nagssmuggle!

^That's great to hear! pero ang tanong, ibababa ba ng petron ang prices nila? Imagine kung ganu kalaki ang itataas ng income nila if they maintain their current pricing.

^ yun nga e. siyempre babawiin yung inivest na billions sa bagong refinery. then pinapaalis na din yung depot sa manila.

Hmmm.... maganda sana for the benefit of the consumers pero nakakatakot ata if the foreign companies will have that kind of freedom. Hindi lang big time businessmen ang apektado, pati tayong maliit na negosyante.  That kind of partnership is not exclusive in the Philippines. That is also how they do business in other countries to protect their locals.

On topic: Nakakapagod na ang usapang Oil Price Hike. Wala naman negosyanteng hindi oportunista, mapa-foreigner or lokal.  But, you see, decades ago monopolized ng PLDT ang telecommunications. What do I mean here? It can also happen sa "oil monopoly game". I am thinking the possibility, since we are already in the era wherein we see green energy as a solution to save the earth from destruction, the need/demand for oil will not be as it is today. For one, nauuso na ang e-bikes, e-jeep, solar panels, recyclable energy etc. - I also see this as a solution on Meralco's monopolization. (fyi: i also learned Manny Pangilinan owns an electronic car)

Eto lang ha, I'm actually using an electronic trike. I just don't know how to post my e-trike pic here but, believe me, it's so cute na kahit san ako pumunta tinatanong ako kung saan ko binili. May bubong sya so hindi namin problema ang init ng araw. I use it when I do groceries, go to the mall, palengke or if I need to pick up or drop my kids (twin 13 yr old daughters na mabigat pa sakin) sa school, etc. And what's also good about it, uso na ngayon ang solar panel on electric charging. So kahit may brown-out pwede ako mag-charge. Sobrang hina nya gumamit sa kuryente, hindi ko nga halos naramdaman sa electric bill ko. You can check e-bike and it's duration on travelling to have an idea.

Many countries have done it. Korea is a good example. Pinas had its freedom in 1986; korea in 1987. Now both countries are worlds apart. Korea opened itself to the world. Good governance lang yan.

Talagang magkakaroon ng change, bad businessmen will not last long. Pinoys will win. Why? Competition.

 More foreign companies, more work, specially for the educated sector. There will also be a transfer of technology.

Ang nagpropropagate kasi na negative yan ay yung mga old rich kasi takot sila mawala na parang bula. Dahil magkaka social restructurin. Yayaman ang masa.

Poor wifi service? Kick them out.

Sino ba naman gusto ng lagay?  None of those international companies want to. Hindi kasi nakikita ng tao na yung pinanglalagay sa mga pulitko ay binabawi sa prices. Taong bayan ang nagbabayad.

They pay taxes na lang sa gov't. May lagay pa sa officials. Nagbabayad pa ng revolutionary tax sa rebelde aside from paying off their leaders

Tapos wala lang? Sariling bulsa lang? Nope binabawi yan.
