hi mga sis, HELP please!

my bf and i kasi initially planned to spend 500-700k para sa wedding. we booked na the major suppliers which is nasa 350K na. (church, reception, caterer, p/v, preps venue)

and dami ko sana gusto idagdag kaso now gusto na lang namin itrim yung budget sa 500K MAX!
mas practical lang

ano ano kaya yung pwede namin tipirin without making our wedding appear na "tinipid?"

i have a list of nice-to-have(s) - and budget allotment to each - do you think i can get suppliers na mas mababa yung rate than what i budgeted?

mrsdeezon, if your primary concern is that guests won't feel that it's "tinipid", I'd start by cutting things that don't affect their experience (eg the overseas prenup pictorial, the bridal car). If a skitbook is like a flipbook, I'd just count that as the souvenir and skip spending on any additional favours.

Ours is 500k including honeymoon. But parang as we plan, medyo lumalaki :|

Reception is 106k agad. Our original budget is just 50k. But it's soooo beautiful.

Agree with sevenstars.. yung lights & sounds often doesnt seem important but actually is. Panira kung sabog sound system during the program, nakakawalang gana kasi and will sound cheap, or kung madilim while the guests are eating. I ended up investing more in this than i thought i would. Also, not sure if 15k will get you a prenup in SG.. mine is just in the Phils (but very much out of town lang) and the out of town cost is 15k for the team and around 5k for makeup. Wala pang hotels, food, gas, clothes, accessories, toll, etc etc. My prenup ended up more expensive than my SDE. Ang mahal talaga if out of town sobra or out of country. So if budgeted you may want to try a free venue nearby lang.
Ok na your OTD and car budget, may makukuha ka na. Not sure if enough na yung entertainment budget (mine was 20k and super cheap na yun). Consider mo din pala host, cake, cocktail food, styling (if needed), shoes, entourage gowns, etc in your list. HTH!

plan ko nga na yung flipbook na lang souvenir kaso yung PS at SS same lang din ba yung souvenir nila sa mga guests? or give na lang kami gifts before wedding?

based kasi kami ni BF sa SG so may mga promo rate din yung photostudios dito. iniisip ko lang kung necessary pa kasi may separate prenup naman sa PH inclusive sa photog package. pag-iisipan ko. or maybe pwede naman na saka na lang kami magpaphoto shoot - mga anniversary ganyan. di pa naman kami aalis ng SG soon. gusto ko lang sana may maayos na couple pics kami dito sa city where we both met.

siguro di na lang din kami maghire ng bridal car para mas matipid.

^ hi mrsdeezon, do you have friends here in sg who are also photography hobbyists? maybe you can ask them to do your prenup here. the singapore brides thread also has a list of filipino photographers based in sg who have cheaper rates.

Our target budget for a Manila church wedding for 150 pax last Dec 2014 was only 500k, pero lumobo to 600k+ nabawi naman with the sponsors' and guests' gift. buti na lang O_o


My brother's wedding in Tagaytay Highlands last Jan 2015 went up to 800k+ for 100 pax. Laki rin ng OOT fees ng suppliers

Our wedding in Cavite/Tagaytay reached to almost 500k, not out initial budget 
Included na 7 days honeymoon sa Bali, prenup, documents and pati yung lunch sa restau with the families on both side. Basta lahat ng gastos related sa wedding nilalagay ko talaga sa excel. Yung maliit na bagay like DIY projects, meetups sa supplier, documents etc. nakakadagdag din talaga sa gastos.

^Parang mura na yun sis! My budget is now at 2M EXcluding honeymoon, dinner dinner ng families, prenup photos, meetings with suppliers.. na wala nang budget hahaha. We're expecting to spend around 350-450k more on the honeymoon pero wala pa muna sya sa excel ko dahil di ko matanggap.

we're almost at 1M and im still trying to find ways to keep the cost down. we're now double our initial wedding budget and i still can't believe it. people warned me about this happening but i didn't expect it to actually happen especially because we were just booking mid range suppliers. i hope wala ng madagdag sa recent computation ko. i really really dont wanna go above 1M na. though this is exclusive of honeymoon in europe with 450k budget.

ang sakit naman nito sis. so sad to hear about your problems with h2b. sobrang unappreciative and non-participating, as if he's responsibilities ended after giving you the budget. i hope you still get back that interest in planning the wedding though. it can still be a beautiful, simple wedding. maybe you need to take a break, or a pause, or a quick escape from all the planning and the stress that comes with it. if you continue while being unhappy right now, you might make a wrong decisions that you cant take back in the end.

Sis bzbee.. very good budgeting. Tapos ka na ba sa supplier booking? My cousin too budgeted 1M (well 1.3M) but hers is so sulit coz everything is included na there.. this is year 2013 though. As in lahat andun na like airfares, meeting expenses, beauty regimens like teeth whitening, ipl. Etc etc.and super napa wow ako coz super ganda ng wedding.. hindi man sya sit down dinner but still elegant, she got bob nicolas and PVP too, basta high end ang major suppliers.. and a good mix of newbie to mid end suppliers sa minor things. For me that's very good and sulit. but the requirement is dapat super adik ka sa research. So if I need advise sa budgeting sa kanya ako hihingi ng advise. I think you're doin a great job too.. imagine andon na ang euro trip nyo!! your hubby would be so lucky marrying a woman who can budget properly at hindi lustay sa pera.

^ aww thanks for the kind words sis belle. haven't booked all the suppliers yet but i already got their rates and also the misc expenses ive researched na din. hopefully wala na ko nalimutan. ang galing ng cousin mo! right now if we get high end suppliers like them kulang talaga ang 1M. nakakatawang isipin na in two or three years baka starting budget na lang ang 1M for weddings in PH.

True sis!!! I could have afforded bob too in 2006 nung 65k pa lang rates nya haha!! I think she got him at 100 or 130k if im not mistaken kase bridal fair rate
