Mga sis na ang weddings ay within metro manila, in case lang na meron pa sa metro deal nung pumpkin catering services P3,999 for 30 pax pwede rin yun. Ayun naging crew meals namin on the day for dinner buffet ng suppliers. 2nd floor ang venue namin non so sa ground floor kami nagpa setup since lahat naman ng guests nasa taas na by the time kakain na suppliers. Magiging P133 per head lang ang price. Western cuisine ang chosen menu namin for them so barbecue porkloin, fried chicken, java rice, pasta marinara, creme brulee, iced tea and water.

Nag request lang ako sa caterer namin ng 10 monoblock extra chairs since di naman sila sabay sabay sa eating time kasi buffet table and dining wares lang ang provided dun sa fine print. May natira so nauwi namin and masasabi ko na masarap ang food kahit binook ko lang yung voucher out of hope and faith na magiging okay lol and it was worth it kasi may isang food attendant pa na presentable din talaga on the day, ok ang grooming nya and outift.

Chili1113, wow P475/person for crew meal! And you have to provide 2-3 meals to some suppliers. Grabe.

Yes sis!! Super nagulat ako when I computed everything. But then my coordinator said my venue has a staff canteen in the premises where some suppliers like lights and sounds can go for dinner, as it is cheaper than plated crew meals in the reception area. For lunch I am doing packed lunches. But for dinner... no choice ako but to order crew meals at P475/pax for most suppliers like coordinator, photo, video, musicians............ sniff sniff

May I also suggest CCME Homemade Foodstuffs Party Tray. Ang sarap ng food nila mura pa.

Pa set up ka ng 1 table for them tapos dun ilagay yung food at disposable utensils. For sure solve sila don.

May tanong na naman ako. hehe! Pwede bang magpa set-up ng table for crew sa caterer although hindi sila ang magkicater ng food? Has anyone asked your caterer about this kind of set up?

Gusto ko sana kahit packed meal may maayos na makainan yung crew namin during the reception.

Hi sis sakura30, nung wedding ng sis ko, Shekinah ang caterer, pumayag naman sila ng extra trable, wala na nga lang ganung kaartehan like exaggerated na centerpiece, saka sa bandang dulo na. Pwede yun sis, ask your AE.

^hi sis, musta ang overall experience with Shekinah? Kumusta ang food,setup at service? Meron na ko booked caterer pero before, 1 din sila sa mga shortlisted caterers namin kasi ang ganda ng styling. Kaya lang dami nega feedbacks from GT kaya di ko na pinursue.

Ang tanda ko sis 550/head ang kinuha namen for 150pax. Di ko tanda yung overall cost pero 100% sure ako na di umabot ng 100k. the event was 2013 pa, we booked them mga August 2012 pa kasi, so na price locked na din.

For sure nagtaas na sila ngayon. Yung 550/head package dati super dami na kasama, at maganda na yung setup. Tapos ang dami pang food nun.

Pwede yan sis nagawa ko na din yan. Extra long table and extra chairs for suppliers nag request ako kahit hindi sa caterer ko ang suppliers' meals. Pumayag naman and match pa yung tablecloth ng extra table request ko sa registration table kaya maayos tignan walang nalihis na kulay.

^sis, Tantoco's ang caterer ko. Ahh 2013 pa pala hehe. Mejo mahal na sila now. Jan 2015 namin sila nameet sa 1 sa mga bridal fair. Medyo willing na kami mag exceed ng onti sa budget kasi ganda nga ng styling. Kaya lang me iilan akong nabasa sa Caterer's thread ata na nega reviews sa kanila. Ayun di na naminpinush hehe. Pero gaganda setup nila sa fb page nila:)

hi sis chili, i feel you. what worked for me is to tell my friends my small hindrances for my dream wedding. and since small amount lang naman, they tend to cover it para happy bride daw ako. 

i once told my housemates na i still don't know what to give as wedding favors and they said not worry na lang kasi they can take care of it. the idea is to bring colored sisiw tapos papabunutin daw yung guests kung anong kulay yung iuuwe nila. hahaha! they were just kidding pero they were serious when they said na sila na lang bahala sa cake:) yay! or maybe i should ask what flavor they plan to order and what design!

Hi sis chili, I also have the same problem, am around 150k over my initial budget At first I was so smug about how it wouldn't be a problem for me to keep things simple and stay within my set budget but during the course of the preps and the booking, I had to admit na maarte talaga ako at madaming gustong kaartehan sa wedding ko hahaha! ;P I made some cuts where I could but I couldn't give up everything bec I realized I won't be truly happy with my wedding. Some examples: I acquired extra costs for choosing full draping for the reception, additional  payment for my designer so that my dress could be more embellished, having an ice cream bar for my wedding etc. I know these are trivial things to others but I realized they were important to ME. We could save up if we cut those things but in the end, it was too much of a compromise for me. So I decided to pay for those myself because they would make me happy Actually my fiance offered to increase our wedding budget but since he was already contributing more to our wedding fund anyway, I told him no, kung luho ko, ako yung magbabayad nun Still not done with my wedding but am happy naman with my decision so far

Sis chili1113, I understand you. I also have those moments. If you think that something won't hurt as much, let go na lang or look for cheaper alternative. If you think you'll regret not having it for your wedding, keep it and don't think kahit over the budget na. You can earn money again but you can't recreate your wedding.

I'm sure you'll figure things out.

Sis yannuh, syempre na gu-guilty rin ako kasi alam ko naman nice-to-haves lang talaga yung karamihan na nagpa over budget samin so hindi naman kaya ng konsensya ko na pagbayarin sya for something im sure he might not even notice hahaha, even though he kindly volunteered

And i totally agree with what sis sakura said na if you think you'll really regret not having it in your wedding, get it na. Actually it was my fiance who also made me realize that kasi i was super stressed na with being overbudget. He said if i keep on cutting just for the sake and I end up with a wedding I didn't like or wasnt happy with, sayang lang lahat. I think its very impt to stay on budget but its also very impt that you are happy and at peace with all the decisions you've made for your wedding (keeping within your means, of course)

my fiance pulls my feet back on the ground whenever I'm on a wedding high, kasi I want this and that kaartehan. Like nung isang araw I looked up what wedding animation is and I suddenly wanted it. I told my fiance about it and he disagreed. Ayaw daw nya at another want na naman daw yun na di naman daw talaga namin kailangan.. itigil ko na raw ang pagbabasa ng wedding sa internet dahil andami ko raw nakikita na hindi kailangan HAHAHA (as if titigil ako. Syempre hinde. 😛)

But he doesn't decline to all my wants naman. Like kagabi I asked him can I have a budget for an after party dress? And he immediately said yes. i guess he saw the purpose coz the after party will be one of the highlights of our wedding.

Ask ko lang mga sis, ano ba yung mga checklist when planning a wedding?

My partner and I, is planning na magpakasal, but for now sa west muna kami magpapakasal, so civil, we really want talaga sana bongga, pero inexplain naman ng partner ko why west muna, so yun.. This year ipupush namin yung civil wedding, pero ask ko din sana ano ba yung mga preparation? Magkano kaya aabutin?  Is it worth it din ba na mag civil then church wedding? By the way may baby na kami.
