Yung confidence ko sa pagbbudget ay natunaw after reading this thread

we are looking at 500-700k kasi after kong magbook ng major sponsors parang nasa +/- 600k na sya - still included lahat ng "nice to have"

akala ko may allowance pa ako pero nung mag-back read ako, one sis' budget bloated from 350-700k. kinabahaan ako ng bongga!

stop muna ako ng pagbook kasi mababa exchange rate ngayon sa SGD.

ako naman na-inspire sa wedding ni kichie nadal. parang gusto ko na lang din mag hanap ng mumurahing RTW as long as bagay naman sakin and hindi dugyot tignan. will visit landmark soon.

ang budget talaga namin is 300k and 350 max for 80-100 guests. kaso naiinggit ako sa mga sissies natin na nakaya 200k na budget, some of them nga tagaytay wedding pa. tipirin ko na lang siguro yung mga hindi naman importante for me. tutal ang priority ko lang before is food and photos

^sis juyjuy yung mga things na pwedeng i-diy, i-diy nyo ni h2b like invitations and souvenirs then kung may friend ka na may car yun na ang gawin mo bridal car.Yung ento gown mo ipasagot mo sa ento as a gift. Actually, madami ka pwedeng gawin para ma-cut down yung gastos. Tyaga tyaga lang sa pagbabackread for sure madami ka matutunan sa mga sis natin dito. Happy preps sis!

Grabe sis.. From 34.5 last year, naging 32 na lang ngayon.. Malaki din ang difference especially kung malaki ang ire-remit mo.. Pero no choice kami kase this month naka-due ang mga balance namin.. I asked the remittance center kung tataas pa ang rate, pero sabi nila pababa daw ang trend ngayon ng palitan..

hi mrsdeezon, there are a lot of brides here who were able to stick to their budgets and there are others who had intimate and beautiful weddings at just 200k max. i'm an sg bride, too, and our budget is 350k. we are diy-ing our wedding decors so we were able to take out the stylist from the budget, which would have been >50k.

usually in the year before elections the peso strengthens because of government spending so i fully paid all my biggest expenses already - caterer, coordinator, video, and venue.

di na ko kuha ng bridal car since isa lang yung venue for ceremony and reception. and tipid pa kasi one event per day lang sila so may free 5 hrs pa kami for prep, tipid na ulit for hotel 

We will have a very simple and intimate wedding., Yung entourage, kahit sagot ko na dress nila since dalawa lang naman, isang MOH and isang bridesmaid

Sis hallerski korek ka jan. Tumawag ako kahapon sa LP they told me baka nga mag 31 po soon kasi padami ng padami turista sa pinas at mas lalakas ang piso! Sadness for us!! Ahahay!!

^hello sis mrsdeezon and juyjuy. kaya yan basta stick with the budget. altho talagang habang papalapit ng papalapit, maiisip mo yung mga kulang, wala pa. kaya mejo lumaki. my original budget was 120k for 85pax tagaytay wedding. lumobo sya sa 200k. but thats it. sabi ko kahit ano mangyari d na ko llagpas sa 200. tyagaan lang sa pag research, and take note na hindi porket mahal ang supplier or kilala sila e napakaganda na ng output nila. look for other alternatives na half the price nila but produces almost the same quality output., if you are willing to do that. set your priorities/needs, splurge on that. yung mga hindi masyadong priority, then dun kayo mejo magtipid.

sis, i started transferring our money to our bpi account. siguro twice pako ulit magransfer nito before malipat lahat. habang di pa bumababa ng sobra the exchange rate.. nakakainis ang laki ng difference!

that's a great idea, belle_v2g, at least the money has already been set aside and the exchange rate is locked in. i think i'll do that for the smaller expense items

^That depends more on what you want or your standards than the location, sis.
There are very small and budgeted Tagaytay weddings na less than 200 pax, and there are big ones with more than 500 people and a very expensive venue and top of the line suppliers. It really depends on you. Tagaytay has all sorts of venues that will cater to a mixed market of brides.

You can start answering this question by determining how much you are willing to spend for the wedding. This is how most people do it. An unconventional way of doing it is thinking of what your vision is for your wedding, your suppliers, etc and then counting the cost of the wedding, bottoms up, from there. You can do the latter kung medyo maarte ka talaga and cannot let go of certain "dream" suppliers which you have wanted to get since before you were engaged. Hehe. Of course, you should also have ample budget to do it this way. Hope this helps!
