^I agree. I started in May last year and so far, I earned almost $1k. Fixed price contracts ang lahat ng kinukuha kong work. Lahat travel writing jobs na $15 per article. Hindi din ako regular mag work, kung kelan ko lang magustuhan at kapag may time.

those whose working sa IT, web and software can earn up to $1k a week. back read in previous thread nasa P600k+ a month (daw!) sila.

anyway, basta sipag at tiyaga pwedeng-pwede yan.

Nku ang IT sa Upwork earns as much as $30 per hour. Mga newbie pa yan. Pero syempre hard core yung support nila. I for one knows it kasi naging client ko mismo oDesk before and I handle freelancers profile so I get to see their earnings lol. Yung workmate ko is sa Customer service field naman kami.

Sipag lang talaga and constantly improve your profile, no matter how many freelancers are applying if maganda profile mo mapapansin at mapapansin ikaw. Lalo na pag Top rated ka, sila na mismo lalapit sayo para iinvite for interview.

^me, back in 2007. umabot din ako nang 7mos bago ako nag-give up. Part time lang ako sa online pero mahirap din i-manage since kulang lagi sa tulog. Then sa tanghali, panay ang yawning. haha..

Sa kinatagal tagal ng upwork account ko, odesk pa dati first time ko naka withdraw ng sahod today. And saya lang  Kaso parang mas mababa ang rate nila kapag LFT kesa Paypal.

Ako sis. Though less than a year pa lang ako sa Upwork, may mga times na tamad na tamad ako mag work. Haha. 9-6 pm ang full time job ko at medyo mentally exhausting ito. So mga 9-12 pm ako nakakapag Upwork, kapag sinipag haha.

Medyo ok naman ba kinita sa odesk as part time? Im not expecting na makapag earn ako ng malaki pero sana mag progress eventually.

sis BacMook: Best way to learn Upwork is sign up, and browse away. That way, ikaw mismo makaexperience first hand how to work your way around the site.

For those in the web design/IT field, madali kitain in a week or two ang $1000. Mataas talaga asking rate nila, pero mas mura pa din ang rates ng Pinoys vs others so madaming clients designers natin. A friend of mine is a web designer and she gave me an idea magkano ang average rates. Naisip ko ngang bakit hindi yan na lang ang aralin ko. hehe. Medyo nahihilo lang talaga ko sa mga bagay-bagay nya so di ko ata talaga kaya.

Nakaka-obsess ang pagkita sa Upwork sa totoo lang. To the point na magugulat ka na lang, dun na pala umiikot buhay mo kasi ang sarap kumita ng pera nang hindi pumupunta sa opisina.  Yung tipong 5 na clients mo sabay-sabay pero gusto mo pa.

But personally, I found that it shouldn't about that in the long run anymore (lalo na in my case kasi may anak ako). Improve your skills, do your best at your current jobs, so that eventually maitataas mo yung rate mo so you can do less hours while still earning at a comfortable rate. I noticed kasi sa groups, madami ang gung-ho sa kailangan kumita, na tipong ang tulog na lang sa araw eh apat na pikit lang. Iisa lang katawan natin, kailangan din nyan ng totoong pahinga, alagaan natin. Dahil pag bumigay, kahit 20 trabaho hindi maipapalit dyan.

Sa mga previous call center agents pala, if may experience kayo sa call center setting (at least a year or two), madaming options on Upwork na I believe you can negotiate a better rate.

^ I agree sis, I have 3 regular clients pero parang feeling ko gusto ko pa. Kaso pag iniisip ko, kaya nga ako nag WFH e para alagaan mga anak ko, so sabi ko okay na ako dun..pwera na lang talaga pag may okay na offer. 40 hrs max hrs ko pero tig 20 hrs lang ako kasi mas priority ko yung mga anak ko. Kahit ganon okay pa rin kasi okay na ako sa rates ko, hintay na lang ako sa increase ni client or for promotions. niloloko nga ako ni hubby, mas malaki pa kinikita ko kesa sa kanya tapos nag EBF at nag aalaga pa ako ng mga bagets, totoo pala daw talaga ang superwoman heheh. Kaya thankful lang ako talaga sa Upwork at sa unang client ko na nag bigay ng break sakin hehe.

I have a question mga sis. When I logged in this morning sa Upwork account ko I have a notification that my financial transactions are limited. Grayed out yung Get Paid button. When I check the help center, I saw the message na suspended yung account ko because I use auto clicker. VA kasi ako sa isang client, and hindi sya ganun ka hectic, I mean literal na I just need to login and wait kung anong papagawa nya. Pero need na nakalogin ako para lang if in case meron syang ipagawa eh available ako. Wala pa akong narereceive na update from them. Pero yung unang email nila nakalagay naman to:
