Midwife, instead of yaya
« on: January 20, 2015, 03:28:37 pm »
has anyone tried midwife instead of yaya for new born? i know it is more expensive, but i'm willing to pay more basta sure na marunong at hindi na maloloko ng mga agency.

where do i hire them? any ideas?

thank you!

My friend hired one for her first baby...to act as a night nurse. Pricey, 1k per night. But the midwife still fell asleep :( so it didn't work out. I think she got someone from thr hospital who was trying to moonlight for extra money, so of course the midwife would be tired.

I had a midwife help look after my son when we were still at the hospital. She stayed up all night to look after him

I had a midwife undergrad but she turned out to be an unsuitable yaya for my baby.  Mas ok pa my yaya now kahit hindi marunong at first, you can really see na she cares for my baby.

We have 2 registered midwives to take care of our 2nd and 3rd baby.  They're both good.  They have an assistant skilled yaya for all other baby-thingies.  At least whenever hubby and I go out, kampante ako that they know how to act in any case of baby emergencies.

me too i have been looking for a mid wife for when i go back to work. My baby will be 2 1/2 months only kasi so I would rather leave her sa sanay sa baby kesa sa yaya ang hirap ipagkatiwala.

Where do you get them? and how much ang rate?

^ I got mine before from the agency where I got my yaya.  Just take note that hindi komo midwife automatic she will stay with you.  The younger ones sometimes still aspire to go abroad, gagamitin ka lang as a temporary boarding house.

I just know her by name, then yung agency name niya I have to look for it pa.  Sa yaya puro hindi ok pero the all around na pinampalit ko sa yaya, malinis naman.

As long as you interview in person, humingi ka din ng options kasi normally 1 or 2 lang ipapakausap sayo.

Hi mommies.. Ask ko lang how much sweldo ng midwife? If ever ba sila parin maglalaba ng clothes ni baby? I need to work na kasi 1 month right after ko manganak, pero nasa same bldg nman yung office ko kaya matitignan ko parin every now and then si baby.. Iniisip ko lang kung worth it ba midwife or yaya will do na.. Gusto ko rin naman maging hands on mom.. Like after 5pm ako na uli sa baby ko :) TIA

Yung nakita kong agency sa fb nasa 7k to 8k ang rate ng midwife. For me an experienced yaya is okay na. Yung yaya ni lo ngayon okay na sakin, maliksi siyang kumilos and hindi na kailangan utos utusan. Kita ko na din yung pag aalaga / concern niya kay lo. Swerte na din ako at sana magtagal na siya samin. I hired her thru an agency.

Hello mommies. Can someone please recommend a midwife who can train a new mom like me and yaya in taking care of baby for a few months? Somebody you have personally hired perhaps?
