To our former and future brides, what are your wedding wishlists (and/or suppliers)?

1. The "Non-Negotiables". Ito yung kahit anong mangyari, kelangan meron sa wedding nyo or suppliers na dapat mai-book nyo talaga.
2. The "Pangarap Ka Na Lang Ba?". Ito yung gustung-gusto nyo talaga, pero due to certain reasons (e.g. supplier already booked, budget constraint), hindi nyo nakuha for your wedding.

Here's mine:

1. Venue and Church. Non-negotiable samin ni hubby ang Tagaytay wedding and of course the church must be OLLP.
2. Reception Venue. Ang gusto kasi ni hubby hindi na magtratravel ang guests from Church to Reception Venue kaya within the Church lang yung kinuha naming reception venue. Pero ang gusto ko talaga, overlooking Taal.

1. Treehouse Story! We wanted a unique twist on the common wedding SDE. They come up with new angles and do not service so many weddings to the point that all the SDEs look the same. They maintain a climactic ending-- may drama padin. I dont want a super jolly SDE kasi formal affair padin ang wedding.

K by Cunanan - foodwise mas masarap si Bizu and Juan Carlo for me but we needed a caterer who could style the tables well while being within budget. Bizu was overbudget and Juan Carlo doesn't have talent in styling

Kutchie Zaldarriaga - I bought my way into getting peace of mind. Nothing tops years of experience and good reviews from fellow clients AND suppliers.

2. Hacienda Isabella - overbudget; too big for our small wedding pero look-wise, it was perfect for what I wanted

Vera Wang gown - overbudget

Albert K or Cherry Pacheco for HMUA - overbudget

Mayad - overbudget also, but buti nalang I didn't book them, parang di nice mga recent works nila esp given the rate they charge! Baka may team B sila?

absolute non-negotiables were the reception location (Shangri-La, Boracay) and videographer (Mayad).

Nice-to-have was a reception stylist.

Didn't-care-much-abouts were my wedding gown and shoes, our wedding rings, invitations, and souvenirs.

1. Non-negotiables
*Church - very non-negotiable for us. We had a hard time looking for a Christian church kaya we are super happy when we finally found this. My hubby wants to marry me sa "literal" na church at hindi sa garden, ceremony hall, or auditorium type christian churches.
*Glass Garden - I like it especially during evening events. Near to our chosen church as well and convenient to guests.
*K by Cunanan - We are after good food and styling. It's good to have both with kbyc.
*Gail Bitoon - recommended by friends and coordinator. No regrets. Worth the price.
*Ghe Consolacion - I keep falling in love with his videos. There is just something in him and his works that we like talaga.
*Darlene Tan-Salazar - I think she's perfect for the type of program that we want to achieve.

2. Nice to have..
*Metrophoto - way too over our budget and inclusions are not that sulit
*Edward Teng - quoted too much for a basic peg.. but I still love him.
*Alex Franco Cakes - that all layer edible 5 tier cake!!!
*Limo / Hummer - ok lang sana but basically for photo ops lang so, no thanks.

all my other suppliers are highly recommended. I consider them as non-nego as well.

Non-Negotiables

Church- St. Pancratius Chapel- honestly medyo namahalan ako sa kanya, considering chapel lang sya, mas mahal pa sya sa big churches around Manila. Pero I consider this as non nego kasi ang ganda talaga ng chapel na ito, dito din nagpropose si H2B kaya me significant thingy sameng

Xy Eugenio for HMUA for Bride +Ento- Bilang budget bride, namahalan din ako dito though ayaw ko isacrifice ang magiging itsura ko on our wedding day HAHA


"Pangarap Ka Na Lang Ba?"

Mel Orlina, Veluz & Edward Teng bridal gown- syempre pangarap lang yan, ayaw ko gumastos ng  malaki para sa wedding gown na 1 day mo lang isusuot. Isesave ko na lang yun.

Tagaytay Wedding- Gusto ko talaga sa Caleruega at sagot namin lahat2 ng gastos ng guests but no, di keri so Manila wedding talaga.

Passion Cooks/K By Cunanan- mahalia fuentes, as usual.

Vintage Bridal Car- Asa pa ko haha

My non-negotiables are my photographer and coordinator. I've no regrets stretching my budget to book J Lucas Reyes because his photos are so timeless. I really want to enjoy looking back at our photos. Coordinators can make or break your wedding day so I'm very choosy about who will manage the event.

My fairy-tale wedding would probably look like this:

Conservatory at Manila Peninsula - Because I love the Pen and every corner of that hotel looks classy and elegant; or

Antonio's, Tagaytay - If I only had 70 guests, I'd probably have my wedding reception here! Lol. Plus it doesn't require much styling.

Vera Wang - A girl can dream.

Cinemaworks or Bob Nicolas for the videographer because they know how to put a story together.

Non-negotiables:

1. K by Cunanan -good styling, good food. Basic decors lang kelangan mo, no need na for upgrade especially of you're like me. Di naman ako mahilig sa mga topiary style centerpieces or yung tall vases.

2. Hepburn Prints - relatively more expensive than other photobooth suppliers but the layout and the quality of the photos are both great. Mukang pwede talaga itabi ng matagal ang mga photos.

3. ice cream station - actually add-on lang naman talaga ito. pero gusto ko ng something na naiiba for our wedding...tsaka affordable naman ang package. marami pa kaming napasaya.

4. Gargantilla customized headdress- college pa lang ako gusto ko na talaga na meron akong customized headdress on the wedding day.

Nice-to-haves or what our sis referred to as "pangarap"

1. Rosa Clara - gusto ko yung simplicity ng designs. Pinrint na lang namin yung preferred style ko para maging design inspiration ng mananahi ko. She tweaked the style to fit my body type.

2. Angelfields Sanctuary - gusto ko sana ito, pero start pa lang talaga ng preps we decided that the wedding will be in the East-side/Rizal area to ensure the convenience of the guests. we did not want them to take a long trip just to attend our wedding. sure they're are friends and relatives but we really decided to prioritize the convenience of the guests. kung hindi lang ma-traffic/malayo ang travel.


-di naman kami masyadong particular ng husband ko sa p/v supplier, basta decent ang photos at videos ok naman sa amin.
-di rin kami particular about shoes, look ng church, etc.
-important kasi sa amin yung convenience ng guests, that they be served/fed well, di sila ma-bore due to the length of the program, wag masyado mapagod sa layo, at maging memorable yung event for them.

fionaapple, I had a fitting with Rosa Clara and I super loved their gowns also! If I had the money, would definitely get a gown from them.

Non-Negotiables

1. GOOD FOOD.
Sobrang simple lang namin na couple at di kame mahilig sa mga pakulo pero importante sa'men na ma-enjoy ng guests ang food na ise-serve on our wedding.
2. Venue Location (Oasis Manila).
Naging non-nego by default kase 5-min walk lang mula sa bahay ni h2b. Ayaw na namin guluhin pa yung mga kamag-anak namin na mag-stay sa hotel at very spacious ang bahay nila so kasya ang both families namin.

Pag-Nanalo-Sa-Lotto

1. Photo and Video Team made up of Dino Lara and Jason Magbanua. Early 2000's pa lang regularly ko na sinusubaybayan ang blogs nila. Iba pa bf ko nun! Hahaha! Gustong-gusto ko yung photo-journalist style ni Dino and his output is clean and classy. Ilang beses na din ako pinaiyak ni JMag sa workstation kase pinapanood ko yung SDE's nya habang nagtatrabaho.
2. Strings. Kung tutuusin, kaya pa naman i-stretch ang budget for this pero parang ayoko ng dagdagan pa yung gagastusin namin lalo na kay h2b ang bulk ng bayarin.
3. Bridal Gown by Jazel Sy. Sa dinami-dami ng couturier that I stalked online, kay Jazel ko unang naramdaman yung OMG moment.

Non-nego:

1. Caleruega Church (significant kasi lagi kaming nagreretreat ni fiance dito nung college days sa UST, pati sa guests namin, memorable itong place since classmates/batchmates mostly. at kahit hindi siguro kami thomasians, sa ganda nitong place, gugustuhin ko pa rin. type ko rin yung maliit na chapel-ish)

2. K by Cunanan - I booked them without even having any food tasting with any caterer -- including K. Ganoon kataas ang tiwala ko sa kanya gawa na rin ng hype not just online but pati sa mga nakausap naming wedding suppliers sa fair. Tuwang tuwa daw sila pag KbyC kasi favorite nila. Basic styling nya sa FB pics hindi ko mahanap sa ibang caterer. I tried appreciating the styling of other competitors but upon knowing na upgraded na pala yung katumbas ng basic ng KbyC, napapa-no thanks na lang ako. I actually thought revolutionary yung styling nila kasi sa Pinas sanay akong puro silk na tela-monoblock pegs lang ang events. Haha. So far, naggagayahan na. Or, kukuha ka ng separate stylist. Of course, mahal.

3. Vatel Manila bouquet - Feeling ko styling ni KbyC match with Vatel's. Tinatry ko rin mag appreciate ng ibang works -- may mga kamukha ng works nya di ko alam if ginagaya, pero meron ding no-no talaga ang ichura. Kahit bouquet lang ang Vatel and then ento ibang florist. Baka maiwan lang nila sa venue or malapag kung saan, sayang naman ang creation ni Vatel

Nice to have:
1. Nicolai Melicor as photog - pero she's way out of my budget lang talaga. If miracle happens at may extrang budget, I'll get her as additional photog

2. Strings and vocals - but then, I can always just compile our songs. wala pang pipiyok.

3. Vintage car - pero hindi sulit kasi ang lapit lang ng reception church and hotel, kahit nga kalesa, keri e. and may magpapahiram sa amin ng vios for free

4. Succulents as souvenirs

5. Save the date video - pero hindi kami ma-acting chenes na couple

1. Video and Photo: These are definitely my non-negotiables. After the wedding, we can only take with us the memories of that day, thus I want to have the celebration of our union and our endearing moments with our family and friends to be beautifully captured in our wedding photos and videos.

2. Food: This is very important to my fiancé and his family. Never compromise on good food.

Nice to Have
1. Elie Saab gown: I'm in love with Elie Saab dresses and gowns. I don't know how much it costs because I didn't bother finding out since I don't want to break my heart and our bank account.  Pero gosh, swoon and drool worthy! 

2. Tiffany & Co. wedding bands: I'm infatuated with T&C diamond jewelry. However, we can get more value for our money. So, no T&C for us.

1. Date - gusto ko talaga significant sa amin ang wedding day, so it's either same month/date ng anniversary as b/gf or yun month/date na nagkakilala kami
2. Food - dapat masarap and madami ang food, dapat mabubusog silang lahat dahil yun lang ang maalala nila sa event namin dahil wala naman kaming program
3. Video - iba pa bf ko sabi ko gusto ko rin ng SDE pag kinasal ako kaya kahit budgeted wedding kami go pa rin ako sa video services kahit 15 mins lang ang ceremony namin
4. Honeymoon abroad - super like ko talaga mag-travel, ilang beses ko ng niyaya si h2b na magtravel abroad pero super conservative ayaw niya, pag honeymoon na lang daw, so this is it. Papiliin nga niya ako ng bonggang wedding and travel abroad, abroad pipiliin ko

Pag Nanalo sa Lotto:
1. Jason Magbanua - super gusto ko talaga magka SDE and he is one of the best but then wala di talaga kaya. Yun fee niya total budget na ng wedding namin
2. Platinum wedding bands - hindi pwede si h2b sa gold, di naman namin afford ang platinum, so mahal

Medyo wala care:
1. Gown - i will be using a second-hand gown from my friend
2. Suit - h2b will wear yun pinatahi sa kaniya as bestman
3. Shoes - gagamitin ko yun binili ko for formal events
4. Photographer - hindi kami masyado marunong ni h2b sa photos pero the one we will be getting is starting pa lang and mukhang okay naman, we just wanted someone who can document the event

- Elie Saab gown (I'm just really fan but I can't justify the cost hehe)

Wa ko care:
- invitation, misallette, and other stationaries
- bridal car (supposedly own car but we ended up getting a Jaguar from APerfectDayWedCar)
- cake (ended up with Iko's Bakeshop and it tasted really good plus my peg was completely followed)
- hotel (but we got Luxent even if it was the most expensive option)

Add ko rin pala yun invitation and giveaways sa wa ako care. Invitation ko straight from the internet save as ko lang as picture. Hahaha.. giveaways wala na rin.

Church-yung may mahabang aisle kasi gusto kong ma-feel yung drama.
Wedding gown- yung may mahabang train, dream ko talaga yan ever since

Wishlist:
Tiffany and Co. wedding bands- we had to let this go na para malaan ang budget sa mas important details ng wedding. Sakit sa puso pero pangarap na bituin nalang siya ngayon.
Balai Taal- if only we had fewer guests pwede na sana..
Jason Magbanua- need I say more?
Honeymoon- Japan/Maldives o dahil wish naman, eurotrip!
