Hi Tanong ko is about the coordinator... kasi pareho kaming nandito sa SG at ang daaami palang kailangan gawin na mahirap asikasuhin kasi nasa abroad. So iniisip ko maghanap ng coordinator na basically who will hold our hands throughout the entire process haha especially sa documents, seminars, the stuff we need to decide on like suppliers, etc. Good idea ba 'to and how much would a good rate be kaya? Any recommendations are welcome rin

yung samin sis OTD lang kinuha ko kasi mejo pricey kapag full coordination. if you will get one for your wedding, research mo kung sino yung nakapaghandle na ng mga weddings sa venue mo. like if you're getting married in Boracay, or Tagaytay or Batanes or Baguio. Make sure na may experience na sila sa lugar na yun or sa mismong venue mo. if you will get full coordination, book them again para sulit ka sa fee. yung OTD ko kahit matagal pa wedding ko, very helpful na sya in booking suppliers. Kahit May pa wedding ko, may full check list na ko and program from my OTD. very useful talaga

hi sis tehsee, i agree with mrsdeezon, choosing between full time or otd coordination depends on your budget and the circumstances you're facing right now. we got full coordination because we wanted someone to be able to book minor suppliers for us, we booked all major suppliers ourselves. we also wanted to be able to have someone who can go around on errands for us back in the philippines because my husband and myself are both sg-based as well and my family really don't have the time to go out and do these things for us.

Thanks for the replies! mrsdeezon, pricey talaga yung full coord pero like 120515 said, kelangan namin ng point person. if i may ask, how did you handle booking the suppliers and all po? Talagang everything was done through the phone and e-mail, or did you have someone back home as your point person? Feel ko kasi dun kami mahihirapan eh, yung sa back and forth with the suppliers and trying to deal with the requirements to get married. 

how did you manage was your otd coord's checklist your survival guide in itself, yung tipong you can complete it all without actually being in the phils and needing a point person to run errands for you? because of yes i might change my mind about getting an otd coord instead hehe!

^^sis tehsee, we got a full wedding coordinator. OTD lang sana kaso di talaga namin kaya na walang gagalaw for us dun sa Pinas. Super helpful for us and at least hindi din namin nahahassle our families for errands. Busy din kasi sila.

Sis, thanks sa list!! magstart na ko magtry try ng gown this month.. Last time dumaan ako sa Delfi without any appointments. Silip silip lang, parang walang katao tao. kakaintimidate ang shops, baka ipush nila ko bumili pag nagfit? hindi ba sila masungit? Tsaka magaganda ba gowns nila?

if you are on a budget, pwede rin namang semi-coordination. Ganun kinuha namin.. Major suppliers lang ang aasikasuhin mo (church, venue, p/v, gown), the rest sila na

Another option namin is to look for pinoy photographer na may plan magpunta ng SG next year para hindi ko na sasagutin ang airfare and accommodation nila, unfortunately wala akong mahanap..

Sis ang gagawin mo is magpapa shortlist ka sa coordinator mo. tapos ikaw mamimili. kailangan mo umuwi paminsan minsan. If your major suppliers (like catering -- your family can recommend) are contactable via phone/email, then you can just do it by yourself. Like P/V most of them reply naman in FB or e-mail. The church and venue, you can ask your family to do it for you if it's convenient for them.

If your wedding date is still more than 8 months to go, I believe you can book it on your own. But it depends also where is your wedding. If it'll be in NCR, 8 months may not be enough. Time is quite important in this decision making as well.

And it also depends on you and your h2b... If you're the type who are hands-on talaga, better do it then OTD na lang. and like what they said, budget is a great factor. If you have money, get a full-time coord.

Medyo nakakataranta lang since we are planning to have our civil wedding this May 2016 and then the church wedding on Jan 2017. Civil wedding will be held here in Singapore. Planning it in my cousin's condo lang or maybe we'll look for an affordable but nice restaurant where we can celebrate it. Only downside sa condo, ang layo since she lives in Choa Chu Kang and fiance and I are from Eunos. Most of our friends din are from the East side. Can you suggest an affordable place where we can held the wedding?

^ hi sis, we had our rom ceremony at marriott - orchard. we only had 4 guests, 2 of them were the witnesses to our wedding. we just booked an overnight stay and had buffet dinner.

have you thought of just doing your wedding at the rom office itself? they actually have pretty spots where you can take photos and it's very close to the dhoby ghaut area. it's also right on the edge of the park. when we went there to file our documents we saw a lot of couples get married there. this was our first option but we ran out of slots on our chosen date so we had to choose another location.

sorry sa late reply. thanks sa advice. turns out OTD na lang kukunin namin kasi tama ka, kaya naman and most suppliers can be contacted online... kaya medyo kumalma na ko hehe. yung p/v suppliers madali kausap, though most sa mga big caterers mga ayaw mag-reply -- e di wag, hahaha, not meant to be. dun na lang sa mga mas madali kausap.

Baka sa ROM na lang din civil namin sis. Since medyo ayaw namin gastusan masyado un civil. For documentation purposes lang naman talaga ang main goal ng civil namin. (Of course, aside sa we see each other as lifetime partners. That we will celebrate with a Christian wedding sa Pinas.)

Kelan kaya magkakaron uli ng wedding expo dito sa SG?
