DIY Wedding Part 11

My wedding theme is travel, and since I don't want to spend for an event stylist, I bought some stuff to add to my caterer's basic styling.

Eiffel tower, car, and airplane -- wooden puzzles @Php35
Mini-globe: @Php18
Spray paint: @Php65 for regular, @Php85 for metallic (brand: Bosny)

Paper mache letters:
1 foot tall: @Php50
6in tall: @Php18
Mr & Mrs (cursive): Php200 for the entire set

Bought glitters, wood glue, paint brush, and paper covers too with London and Paris theme prints--all for less than Php500

I designed the table names with numbers using Adobe Photoshop, will print them on photo paper.  Our caterer agreed to provide the photo frames

We couldn't find vintage luggage sets or if ever we did find any, these weren't on the budget.  So, me and my H2B (while he was still here in PH), improvised our luggage set using old boxes (balikbayan box, laptop box, and other random old boxes we could find at home), covered them with gift wrappers, put brown cartolina strips on them with gold accents using gold round paper fasteners   We used cabinet door handles from the hardware as bag handles--my H2B put screws on them so they'd hold on to the box

kittykuting, pareho tayo. my wedding theme naman was music, our caterer was K by C, pero I wanted lang naman subtle touches of our theme without having to pay for styling upgrades to our caterer. so i did the same as what you did. i bought my own items and decorations to add to the table setup and overall styling.

In short, si mudra ang stylist ko all through out. Haha.

i think it's quite feasible...you just need to get those bare tree branches usually sold during christmas time and maybe fabric/paper  cherry blossom flowers

hi sis, ang theme din namin 80s/90s. kindly share your decor ideas. same with you, i want to add table decors too. I check pinterest, but it's too...pano ba, foreign?  so far, since we are also having rockeoke, we will be putting sorta songhits per table. hehe.

90's theme din kami sa wedding namin. I checked Pinterest and Google for ideas pero parang puro bubblegum pop which I feel is too girly for me and my h2b. We're thinking of making it a little bit more specific and concentrating on 90's music lang - but more of the hiphop-r&b, and a little boy/girl band (onti lang, kundi kawawa si hubby  )

Our idea is to print album covers from the 90's and frame them, or display them in some way with the centrepiece. So far yun lang naiisip namin (actually mostly ako). Does anyone else have any ideas? We want to make it subtle lang.

^album cover is a nice idea! For us naman we are concentrating on the grunge side of 90s. Pero i want to incorporate the "jologs" side. Hehe. Iniisip ko loveteams of the 90s. Kasi sa prenup namin we wore shirts with printed photos of "peachy and joaqui", jolina and marvin, sheryl and romnick, and sharon and robin.  so pwedeng pang asar lang na ganon ang table names instead of numbers.

and yes, our band will only play 80s/ 90s music. Pero yun nga mostly new wave/alternative. I'd have them play Backstreet though because i like Backstreet Boys! Lol!

there were so many awesome romantic movies from the 90's...how about incorporating quotes from those movies in your decor as well?

or use 90's snacks in your favors - think about what you snacked on as a kid - you can put them in jars and then add ribbons in 90's patterns to the jars

you can also incorporate the infamous 90's fashion in your bridesmaids' dresses...midriff-baring tops paired with skirts...i saw a wedding recently where some o the bridesmaids wore cropped tops with skirts and they looked pretty chic:

guys when you diy your invitations where do you get the colored cardstocks? i plan to make pocketfolds for ours, pero parang hirap maghanap sa malls, nbc, ofc warehouse.. nakakita ako isang 10pcs lang puro neutral colors lang nakikita ko kasi, hope you can advise where i can buy tia!

Sis MRSG, ako corsage for SS, DIY din kasi and I think less labor ang corsage than bouquet kaya yun ang ginawa ko.

Chalk art/quotes in calligraphy- prenup and wedding

Prenup props- no stylist

I did write quotes in calligraphy to be placed sana in all the tables but unfortunately we left it at home. 

We did minimal DIYs since our caterer naman is capable and we just complemented what they can provide for us. Here are some things we added that are store-bought.

4ft letter standees- our initials
Our prenup photos in frames (4) for additional registration design
Wedding date in paper mache- 6inches

I consider our invites as partial DIY kasi I provided na the monogram and layout. Wala lang akong time to Photoshop kaya pinaayos ko na sa invite supplier. I provided the font, placing of words, watercolor background.

Same with our photobooth layout, lahat ng details and design aesthetic provided ko na. Layout na lang ni supplier sa software. Hehe.

so far, invites pa lang nagagawa ko sa DIY projects ko. sa dami ng naiisip hindi ko alam san ako magsisimula..hahahaha! gusto ko mag diy ng flowers for my entou pero kontra si bf. I need motivation sissies, patingin naman ng diy projects nyo pls:) I feel like malayo pa naman wedding date (Dec) but deep inside me natataranta na ko!

Im planning to DIY my entourage flowers din. Kaso worried ako baka malanta sya agad or hindi na magmukhang fresh sa araw ng kasal ko.. Any suggestion kung kelan ko pwede gawin or pano ko gagawin? ayaw ko naman kasi na a day before my wedding naggagahol ako sa paggawa ng flower arrangement hehe..

if you're going for fresh flowers i guess it's best to do them the night before the wedding and then keep them in the fridge so they don't wilt
