Tagaytay Wedding (Thread 13)

Last weekend I attended wedding in San Antonio de Padua. Ayun inulan, garden pa naman reception nya buti na lang nag-ready na sya ng tent.

Gusto ko rin sana dati eh garden reception, buti that time naisip isip ko na baka unstable ang weather lalo na July ang wedding namin. Kaya we opted for the Grand Atrium sa Mahogany Place, malalaki windows kaya kita parin ang garden sa labas. Pero wishful thinking parin ako na sana very good ang weather sa wedding namin kasi kahit na indoors, definitely marami ang di aakyat sa Tagaytay pag maulan ulan. Sayang naman.

any december 2014 brides here? kamusta naman kaya ang traffic from manila to tagaytay especially on saturdays? madami ba na-late sa wedding niyo?

the reason i am asking is that whenever i say that our wedding will be at tagaytay on a saturday ng december, the initial reaction is "ay sobra traffic nun" napraning tuloy ako  should i put a reminder sa invitation for guests to anticipate traffic so they can plan ahead?

Hello mga sis.  Sino po ba dito yung past bride ng caleruega?  Madaming tao ba during sunday sa caleruega?  Our wedding is december 20 and pumatak ng sunday.  We want sana ng private and intimate wedding.  Madaming tao ba pag dec and sunday?

hi @dawn11 and @bugem25 i was eyeing din po ng bai village pero still not yet confirm since next year pa naman yung wedding namin, hubby and i are both abroad so pictures and review lang kami base, sana mahelp niyo din ako sa prep. good luck satin

Saan ang church niyo at mga suppliers? kase as much as possible gusto sana namin na di masyadong magastos.

bride-to-be's any more suggestions na place na malapit sa Caleruega with Taal view? Mejo nakakainis kasi ang patakaran ni Narra Hill.. We were already willing to shell out 150k na nga kaso ang wedding preps hindi pwede lalo na kung may magre-rent a day before... Parang ang labas nanggigipit sila para mas kumita.. Our wedding is set for 2pm, ang check in time is 2pm din! napakaunreasobale. Now if we are to get the rooms a night before not more than 3mos pa yung reservation so meaning kung may magrerent ng wedding before our wedding date THEN hindi kame allowed to rent it at all.. and we are talking about another 26k for all the rooms for 13 guests..

OR rent 2 Kubo Suites pero 13k din pinaguusapan... still another gastos..

Hi sis    try checking out --> Rosemont Garden they have 3 bedrooms and the Garden has a Taal view

sis Kristal08, kami din sis not yet confirmed pero we are planning to meet sir Jeff this May para idiscuss yung package niya and magdown if okay kami..

Caleruega kami sis.. and next year din ang wedding namin.. ang sabi samin kasi is may plan na iaircon yung Sylvina's pavilion this year so baka magtaas ng rate.. kaya gusto namin isecure yung  current rate nila.. Sir Jeff of Isaak's assured us naman na lock na ang rate once magdown kami. so ayun..

Church and Photo/Video pa lang ang booked namin.. We booked Freshminds last Bridal fair sa Tagaytay to get a discount... Then the rest ibook namin sa mga susunod na months.. pero meron na kaming napiling suppliers.. nagiipon lang ng pang down para hindi naman ma zero yung savings namin..

Ikaw sis meron ka ng prospects na suppliers? actually sobrang helpful nitong GT.. halos lahat ng suppliers na ina-eye namin ni h2b galing dito..

My wedding is on a Wednesday but since its the first day of a 6-day holiday (Dec 30 kasi) feeling ko traffic will be horrendous southbound from Cavite to Tagaytay No choice na sa dates.
Our mitigating factor is to book rooms for the impt people (family, entourage) the night before so they wont be late naymore on the day itself. It helps also to set buffers in the timeline.

Biglaan ang akyat ko ng Tagaytay yesterday and sadly wala akong nagustuhan na iba.. hay. so okay sabe ni hubby magstick nadaw kame sa Narra Hill and sya na kakausap sa owner.

I went to these places, Clearwater - 85k - ok sya nabitin lang ako sa view ng Taal Lake, Rosemont Gardens - 50k - puro rainforest lang kita and wala yung "wow factor", Splendido - I didn't bother to go all the way down kasi same view with Rosemont, Taal Vista Hotel - very nice hotel pero in-house ang caterer, mahal ang corkage fees ng alak.

The rest napuntahan ko na before and we are after the Taal view and convenience from Caleruega.

Hi sis, I am a June 2016 SAdP bride.  Aside from the basic requirements, you have to ask in June regarding other details, like kung pwedi bang via skype ang canonical interviews and such kasi magrereshuffle sila ng mga Parish priests.  So yung mga rules and regulations ng current parish priest may be different already by next year. 

I was just there a few weeks ago to pay our balance.  At that time eh meron wedding.  I know that they are strict on time, but that time the priest was late kaya I guess hindi na nila pinressure yung bridal party.  hehe.  Ang napansin ko lang at that time, eh di ganun kaganda yung sound system ng SAdP.  Pero our coordinator told us that the reason for that is because of the actual power capacity ng SAdP.  Mababa lang daw.  Hope this helps.

^Same reason we backed out of SAdP which was originally our first choice church due to proximity to my reception venue--- my friend said pag may wedding daw panget yung sound and rinig na rinig pa sa labas lahat ng nangyayari inside. Plus, the parking spaces are limited what more if there's another wedding before you.... and the road to the church is small and i don't want to hassle my guests finding it.

We also didn't like SAdP because: (1) guests may find the church hard to find, (2) medyo nadidiliman kami (although the interiors are good); and (3) I am not sure but two weddings I have attended here were not allowed to have personal vows.
