Hello, hello, hello! Feb 2016 bride here. One year to go and I have the following suppliers booked already:

Venue, Catering and Church: Madre de Dios Chapel and Modlands Clubhouse
Never considered them at all and was actually looking at Antonio's but mom "mildly insisted" because she loves the view there. Our AE is very accommodating and even though mejo matagal magreply, she answers. Got the Heavenly Highlands package revised for 150pax but opted out of the stylist. More on that later.

Photographer: Toto Villaruel
Loved his photos and then a client's sister (I work in PR and Events) raved about him and his service.

Videographer: Dreammechanics
One of the three videographers we met but decided on him because he was very friendly.

Flowers and Stylist: Serge Igonia
After talking with Michael Ruiz, the inhouse stylist of Highlands, I was disappointed because he charged exorbitantly and didn't listen to what I like and don't like. Met with Jo Claravall but she never got back to me with her quote. Spruce Floral Designs never replied. Serge was very humble and accommodating when we met with him.

Weddig Dress: Vania Romoff
Super in love with the design and they always answer my queries on email. Also met with Jun Escario (too busy,) Mel Orlina (a bit rude,) and Pablo Cabahug. (second choice. Very nice)

Coordinator: Kiss The Girl
Recommended by friends.

There! Was looking for entourage dresses since Vania's are out of my budget. Any suggestions?

Still have a lot tof suppliers to get but at least one year to go pa.

Town's Delight sis lagi ko nakikita pero I havent tried their food. Ang na-try ko na is Kumedor (may restaurant silaalong Aguinaldo, Silang area).Okay naman yung food nila though limited palang na-try ko kasi di naman sya wedding event.. sponsor lang ng mga Med Rep hehe

We've yet to decide sa food. Lahat kasi ng natikman ko gusto ko hahaha. Pero yes masarap nga carbonara nila sis Super accomodatinf ni Kuya Willie and yung mga 'extra' requests and demands ng couples most if not all naggrant nila.

sa May na kami. and nakaka one FT pa lang kami. haha mapili si father sa food pero nagustuhan niya. although sa setup may mga alterations akong ipapagawa. tsaka magdadala kami ng sarili naming couple chair (narra). tapos a little tweak sa backdrop. si Ms Kris ang OTD namin kaya wala kami worries na maeexecute yung mga changes since lagi silang team ni kuya willie.

Hi Sisses! My friends and I checked out these places last Sunday as possible wedding and/or preps venue:

Balai Taal - Great preps venue although far from Chapel on the Hill. Spacious and equipped with cooking appliances, so cooking food instead of buying them for your family and suppliers is an option. There's a maid quarters if you decide to bring in your helper or yaya to do the cooking. One house is enough for groom and bride preps; one floor for groom, and the other for bride. There's also ample parking space. IMO though, garden isn't spacious enough for reception. Kuya Arnel (person who toured us) said that for receptions, what most caterers do is set-up the buffet area inside the house (first floor), which is also ok but for me, not ideal. View of Taal isn't as spectacular as I hoped it would be.

Tagaytay Vacation House - This house is near Taalena Restaurant. Best view of Taal I've seen. We weren't able to go inside the house because the caretaker didn't have keys. Good for reception venue only. Place isn't really ideal for preps and preps pictorial. The exterior of the house isn't visually appealing. Get this if you are after the view. Personally, I'm leaning towards booking this for our reception. We'll just set-up a tent and style that up. Sonya's - I really really really like the Bed and Breakfast as preps venue. Rate is 3K per person with free lunch or dinner and breakfast. However, they couldn't assure me that they'll be able to extend the stay beyond 12 noon. Note that our wedding is at 2pm. Thus, they advised me to book the houses that are good for 6 to 13 people for 2 nights. That's quite expensive already. If we decide to just book a smaller room the 2nd night, they will have to transfer us to that smaller room come 12 noon. Bummer. Also, bringing in food for suppliers isn't allowed. Pwede lang daw snacks. I will have to verify this though kasi person I talked to about food wasn't a bed and breakfast staff.

Casa Alegria - I didn't get to see the inside pero the road going there is so curvy and steep, parang papuntang Baguio. Parking is also a problem. And get this, there was actually a wedding reception at the time we went tapos the person in-charge wanted to tour me at that same time! I told her baka may guests na, and true enough when we got there may mga paparating ng guests. So naturally, I didn't bother checking it out anymore kasi NAKAKAHIYA naman sa guests diba. We weren't even dressed for a wedding. Saka ano yun, maggate crash kami? Naturn off ako sa response nung person in-charge kasi she kept insisting (through phone call) na we check out the set-up kahit na may guests na. But I said next time na lang (but I won't go back anymore). I wouldn't want that happening on my wedding.

Balinsasayaw Bed and Brunch - New find! It's along the highway near the road going to Sonya's. It opened just last Feb 14. Nice view of the Taal Lake as well. They have a house that can accommodate 12 people (6 rooms), a small swimming pool and an events hall. They actually have an all-in package for 100 pax (without accommodation) amounting to 145K. I asked the owner to email me the rates of venue only, house only, and venue and house only. Just waiting for her email. The owner was really nice but she was a bit lost; there aren't any rates in place for what I was asking for so she just kept saying "pwede naman" but without stating any ballpark figure. Maybe it's because they just opened and she's still trying to get a hand on running the business.
