Hmm I will have to think about this. I think I will fully pay all the suppliers that I fully trust a week before the wedding. I will pay on the day itself. But I really feel safer with my mother, than the coordinator, no offense to my coordinator.

Flowers? Cake? Yung mga dadalhin pa lang sayo on the day. But you know you're right kasi the suppliers who are known and are banking on their reputations in the wedding industry will not ruin themselves over any amount. I've read somewhere though of a coordinator who was a no-show on the day of the wedding after he was able to inveigle about 900k from the couple. A week before the wedding this coordinator could no longer be reached so the couple had to go through with a far simpler wedding celebration.

may point ka sis.. if ever siguro, i'll keep the funds for the flowers. cake ko is fully paid na last year around oct.. coordinator naman, Bon has gained my trust na. I always send her money.. more than 100k minsan padala ko at wala akong nagiging prob sa kanya. we've met na but I don't think she's the kind of person who will do something like that.

Bakit naman a day before sila umatras? Nakakatampo yung ganun ah. Effort kang iinvite at gastusan sila tapos di pala makakapunta. Anyway, important andun ka at yung groom mo. hehe!

Have a great married life!

^ True that. Some people just can't respect RSVP. Maybe they don't know how much it costs to pay for their food, or they're oblivious of the fact that they were the "chosen" ones; the people you chose to invite over other friends and/or relatives who didn't make the cut. On a good note, at least only 26 people didn't show up. At my future SIL's wedding, she fought with her parents just to invite certain people. Come wedding day, those people she fought for weren't there. There were a lot of empty and sparse tables that night.

With regard to money handling, another option is to make the Maid of Honor in-charge. Usually naman, the Maid of Honor is heavily involved in the wedding planning. It's better for her to do the paying because she already knows who your suppliers are. Two friends of mine did just that. Just make sure your Maid of Honor isn't burara, baka mamisplace ang bag of cash.

^my MOH would gracefully do this for me.. but given the fact that she's based overseas too. .She wouldn't have any idea who the suppliers are.

^^^well some people kasi dont know na yung oo nila may katumbas na pera samin. Nakakatampo talaga! Yung iba wala man lang pasabi bakit hindi nagpunta! Until today walang text or call. Ok lang as long as maganda naman kinalabasan ng wedding namin.

Balak kong gayahin yung wedding invitation nina Chito and Neri. Nakakatuwa kase, ang practical lang. Nakalagay dun

"Please let us know if makakapunta kayo o hindi para kung hindi makakapaginvite kami ng kaibigan na mas pinahahalaghan kami compared sa inyo. (Joke!)

Casual and laid back namin ang wedding namin.

Not the exact words pero ganun namin ilalagay yung rsvp namin for friends. hehe.

hi everyone! December bride here, I was wondering if anyone ever got parang shuttle service for out-of-the-country guests? Overseas bride kasi ako, and half of our guests will be flying in for the occasion. Kawawa naman if walang transpo from the hotel to the church and back to the hotel!! Eh a plane ticket alone during December could already reach 70-80k each!! and we are not shouldering that cost. so the least we can do is provide transpo diba?

Yes, some couples do this para less hassle sa mga guests na hindi taga dito.

I suggest you also check hotels for discounts (some provide if they'll have several rooms booked because of your event). Then provide the ride depending on which you think is best. Coaster? Vans? Sedans?

The most affordable I've seen with good reviews is MobelinePH.

Sis, you're done na with your wedding, right? Alam mo this is also one thing I'm getting worried about: how to make sure that people we invite will really attend. Kasi it would be really nice to make sure that the reservations are filled di ba. Parang kasi I have a first and second tier list eh (kakahiya man pero totoo!) about who to invite. The first tier are those we really really want to have in the wedding. Once those in the first tier say no, then we move to fill the gaps from the second tier. Pero I'm sure because Pinoys aren't yet too aware of the RSVP system (especially for those coming from the provinces) ang pakiramdam ko madami ang ooo ngayon pero no-show naman pag day na. Do you have any tips based on hindsight on what to do about ensuring attendance?

^This is so true. Ikaw parin ang maghahabol sa kanila even if you stated your deadline sa rsvp. It is really frustrating.  Not sure if this is the best or safest thing to do but we reserved 200 pax, and we've invited 220 guests. I am expecting too na may hindi pupunta sa mga umoo ngayon sakin kaya we are over inviting.

Pero if your guests know the rsvp, baka yung mga umoo eh pupunta talaga.most of our guest kasi hindi pa alam ano yung rsvp.

Mahirap yung magsasabi na pupunta tapos no show no! Pinoys talaga should learn na eto na yung new era ng weddings. hindi na tulad ng dati!
