hi sis! Dec 19 ako. Buti sis di ka pa nagpapanic na wala ka pa venue.. Ako kasi yan ang inuna ko eh.. mahirap na maunahan.. Now nga (I still have 9 mos) , pressured na ako despite na major suppliers has already been booked. Paranoid lang ang peg. Haha!

^sis twinxz, di ata ako yung wala pang venue hehe :p Last year pa din kame nakapagpabook, sa Ramon Magsaysay Hall:) Mag Oasis sana ko kung malapit lang si Paco Chapel dun e. Booked na din major suppliers ko, next week ako magpapakuha measurement sa bridehouse:) Onti na lang kulang namin, hotel for wedding preps saka souvenirs na lang:) Oks lang na chillax na lang tayo, magpapanic ulit tayu nyan after a month HAHA

actually matagal pa nga yung dec.19 sis.. pero better na maaga kesa naman mag-cramming..pero sometimes sa sobrang adrenalin rush an talaga di natin namamalayan na we were able to finish evrything pala lalo na pag super lapit na ng wedding day. lol

Another advise pa. Expect na mag boom ng 10 to 15 percent yung budget nyo on the day itself. tanda ko nagpatago ako ng 8k kay husband ko sa araw ng wedding namin. Naubos lahat. Well 4k sa mga extra charge 4k sa after party

Hi shygirlme! 10 to 15 percent of the budget sounds big ha. Bigla ako natakot. Did you have to bring this by cash? Parang di safe kung ganun. I have to ask my suppliers if they will accept check on the day for full payment, but some already said the remaining amount has to be paid in cash on the day. Ano experience ninyo about this? Thank a lot! Two months to go for the wedding, parang feeling ko andami pa kelangang isipin!

We put the cash payments (no cheques) in separate envelopes, labeled by supplier name and my mom held onto it until end of reception (payment time).
I'm not comfortable kasi having anyone else take care of the money given that it's a huge amount. There's so much horror stories too about missing cash (even coordinator teams) kaya ayoko i-risk.

We also had cash ready for sudden expenses (20k I think?) but this was not used. Sakto lahat ng naprepare ko

sis ms_teryosa, yun din talaga target ko, tipong september hayahay na bayad bayad na lang ng suppliers. hahahaha!

sis j.adore concern din yan for me. i want a coordinator whom i can entrust large amount of money for payment. still on the look out for this one.

I spoke to my coordinator and we agreed to pay ALL suppliers one week before the wedding. At least pareho kaming walang iisipin after reception.  I like the way how my coordinator manages this kind of things para mabawasan ang worries ng bride.

buti pumayag suppliers mo sis belle_v2g, however, this is quite risky kasi they might not show up on your event. scary..

Worry din ng mister ko yan before. Gusto nya sana cheke yung last payment kaso may supplierS na cash lang gusto. sinabi ko sa kanya pagtiwalaan otd coord namin so ginawa namin nilagay namin sa envelope yung cash nilagay namin yung amount kung magkano tapos hinandover namin sa coord. Wala naman naging problem kasi may checklist si otd namin na nabayaran yung suppliers with their signatures

Hindi ako worried sis.. kasi alam kong may pinapangalagaan na pangalan sa wedding industry yung suppliers na kinuha namin. Tapos lahat halos connected to each other if you know what I mean.like si ghe referred ni gail. Si kbyc referred ni bon na laging mgkawork.. si rejectkrew referred ni DTS sakin same with cake supplier (chef kiko) medyo malabo yung no show sa mga kinuha ko dahil sila2 din madalas magkakatrabaho. Musicians nmin kakilala ni hubby..mga tipong ganun.

nice sis as your suppliers have been working together na pala. alam na ang galawan ng bawat isa pag decided na ako ng coord consider ko din yang ginawa mo, but for now, maybe i'll settle muna with the traditional envelopes. hehe

We're not comfortable with that kind of arrangement so we're not going to pay our suppliers in full before our wedding. We made sure to explain this to them during contract signing. What we're planning to do is to issue manager's checks, which are as good as cash, for the large amounts and cash for the smaller ones. We'll either let my mum, or maybe my dad's assistant, hold on to the checks and money. Maybe we'll also place them in separate envelopes with two sheets for acknowledgment of receipt of the full payment for their services. Isipin ko pa if I will still need a checklist. Hehe.

nakakatakot po kasi magbigay ng full payment sa coor, supplier. not that walang tiwala pero dapat talaga down payments muna.

^I have read somewhere sis na reason din ng iba why they don't want to pay in advance is because  of the fear na the supplier won't be able to deliver the expected results during the event itself. Agree din ako don.
Pagiisipan ko parin. Pero so far ang dami ko na rin kasing fully paid suppliers.

^usually kasi om the day konti nalang babayaran mo. Ako p/v, otd, flowers,photobooth,hmua and L/S nalang. pinakamalaking bayad is sa p/v kasi nasa tig 30k plus pa bayad ko sa kanila pero the rest di na umabot ng 10k

sa hotel bayaran ko na si florist upon delivery of flowers.. gown din sa hotel na babayaran. Around 40k na yun dalawa.. tHen Sa reception naman, coordinators,  L&S, P/V, musicians.. that's roughly 180k.  I don't think magdadala ako ng ganung amount on the day..kaya kino consider ko talaga magbayad in advance. Confident nman ako na di bibiguin ni gail at ghe sa performance nila.  Dati ang plan ko is pay after the reception e..nag ready pa ako ng list and gumawa ako ng receipts.

Ay wow. Kami we still a lot to pay on the day itself. Probably because we told them we're not paying in full before that. The biggest payment we made I think is roughly 70%, but that's just for 1 supplier. Haha.

Kaya advisable sayo na cheque ang gamitin. venue + caterer ko which is   around 40% ng total budget will be paid in full 2 months before wedding.. other items like cake, photobooth,  church, hotel,  Projector, souvenirs,  fully paid na ngayon pa lang.. so si p/v talaga ang malaking percentage on the day.

^ako din. i think hindi na ganun kalaki yung ilalabas na pera on the day itself. Sina L/S at florist na lang ata ang babayaran ko. Di rin ako comfy na babayaran ko sila in full amount before the wedding day kasi baka di magshow up pero sana naman wag ganun.

Sa amin naman p/v and venue/food yun pinakamalaking babayaran. I will ask the venue/food kung pwede check. Sa p/v sabi nila cash eh.
