Please share! What model do you have, how much, where do you usually use it?

I'm contemplating of getting one for myself and make it my travel buddy

^hi sis, i just bought mine yesterday. It's Hero 4 silver and i bought it for 550 sgd (18500 php). inaaral ko palang siya now, and i'm planning to use it for our myanmar trip which is 2 weeks from now.

I have a dlsr gusto ko sana buy nito kaya lang baka hindi ko magamit either of the 2 sayang lang. And ang bilis magrelease ng model, months lang interval.

I changed my mind nga. Parang di naman sya bagay sakin coz di naman ako ganon ka-active.

And I just found out may mga katulad pala na active camera na ibang brand, even CD-r King offers it ;p
Pero syempre for its purpose at kung active ka talaga, you want something na mahaba warranty.

dad bought me go pro shero 4 silver last january. Matagal k na gusto ng go pro pero I have no plans of buying it yet. Tapos bigla nalang ako binili ng dad ko, para daw sa fieldwork ko. haha Una sabi ko gamitin muna niya tapos nung nagamit ko na, hindi ko na binitawan 

Mas dadalhin ko ito kesa sa dslr ko pag outings. Pero pag fieldwork kailangan ko parin hung dslr ko. Wala naman kasi zoom yung go pro. Maganda yung go pro sa day use pag gabi kailangan mo ng ilaw kung kasama ka sa pic. Ginagamit ko lang pang ilaw yung iphone ko mahal kasi nung accessory para sa ilaw. :p ipon muna.

I bought my go pro hero for about 7K+ bnew dito sa pinas, got it from an online local retailer. Eto yung last model yata na basic lang pero built-in na yung waterproof casing, wala syang wifi or viewfinder. I'm not really into videography kasi I just use my dslr when I shoot.

Primary reason ko for getting one is for the wide angle pov that it offers, pag sa dslr kasi mahal ang pang wide angle na lens. Atleast sa goPro, very handy talaga tapos you can capture decent stills for 5MP and HD videos.

Between Hero 3+ and Hero4, mas madami pa din ata may gusto sa hero 3+. I heard madami daw "issues" sa Hero4. Someone enlighten me please? Gusto ko na din bumili e, hindi ko tuloy alam kung alin..

Another option is the SJ4000 aka GoPro Killer.. daw. Anyone else who has used this? Reviews please?

I suggest looking them up online para mas wide ang options na pagbabasehan mo between those brand and models. Ganyan din ako nun when I was on the fence between a goPro and action cam sold by CDR king. Go to YT para mas clear ang comparisons na makukuha mo then saka ka magdecide.

@mixxy16 so far okay naman experience ko with hero 4. Hindi ko lang macompare sa hero 3+ kasi wala naman ako nun.

Got my hero 4 silver on Qoo10 SG for S$553.90 (exact price haha) with extra battery and 64gb micro sd, naka-time sale kasi. So far, very satisfied ako! Super dali lang gamitin and convenient kasi may lcd na.

Suggest ko lang mag gopro na kayo instead of SJ cam kung quality product ang habol niyo. Yung sa friend ko na SJ cam di nagustuhan kasi pag nasa casing siya ang hirap pindutin and ang layo talaga ng difference SJ looks cheap talaga.. sorry

I've been lemming on this since it came out and after years of waiting, I finally got mine (Hero4SE) as birthday gift this year!

I just couldn't maximize use though because I don't have a smartphone or tab to connect it to for now.    What could be the cheapest smartphone that can support the GoPro App?  Thanks in advance!

Suggest ko lang mag gopro na kayo instead of SJ cam kung quality product ang habol niyo. Yung sa friend ko na SJ cam di nagustuhan kasi pag nasa casing siya ang hirap pindutin

wala ako GoPro pero very true ang hirap pindutin haha

We just bought GoPro Hero4 black edition. hindi ko pa alam pano gamitin. LOL

Hi everyone.

My hubby and I are planning to buy one also but we just don't know which one to get. The silver or black hero 4. What do you suggest for newbies like us?

Silver is the one with built in screen right? How about the black one?

^I chose silver edition over the black one.  For me the main difference were:

1. Silver edition - has lcd Black edition does not.
2. Black edition can capture higher resolutions for videos. 

Upon checking videos taken with the Silver ed, the videos were also great.  So, I chose the silver ed.  It was cheaper too by a few thousand pesos.  And unless you plan to make high res videos - commercial quality or if you're going to make a living or business out of the vids, then the silver ed is enough, imho.
