I'm getting accor plus from sofitel   It's a good deal obviously because of the 50% discount at spiral, and the free room that goes with the card.  The rooms are newly renovated and i'm quite happy with my previous stays in the past.  May gift certificates din for bigger groups.  It's just a little over 8000 for the card.

Plan namin staycation na lang sa Christmas. I am torn between Acacia and Crimson. Help please.

Mas ok ang room ng Acacia Sis pati yung buffet nila. Sa Crimson naman mas ok yung pool, pero yung rooms medyo mukhang luma na - hindi well maintained yung rooms. For buffet, so-so lang din. depende sa preference mo. Pero ok yung pool and lobby nila. Gusto ko sa crimson yung Executive Floor.

Acacia hotel bet ko. madaming resto around. Bet na bet ko bed nila. mas malaki room nila compare sa Crimson.

Acacia Hotel - ok ang food, malaki ang room and may bath tub,  maliit ang pool sa kids. Marami kainan sa labas.

Crimson Hotel - parang ang konti ng choices sa buffet breakfast and buffet dinner, malaki yung pool, maliit room and walang bath tub. Parang sa Festival Mall na choice mo na ibang kainan.

Bellevue - ok ang food, sa Main Wing kami dati nagstay so luma na yung room, may bath tub, marami pool. Marami rin kainan sa labas. Fave ko ensaymada nila sa Pastry Corner.

Vivere Hotel - konti lang din choices sa buffet breakfast, mukhang maliit room pero may living room and kitchen area kasi. Pwede magreheat ng food sa microwave kung may baon ka. 2 swimming pools. Sa ATC kami kumain, may free shuttle service naman sila.

I've booked a 1 BR suite at Somerset Alabang for Dec 31- Jan 2. Sana okay ang maging stay namin!

Meanwhile here are the hotels na we've tried.

1. Crimson - Sakto lang ang rooms. They provided free fruits and chocolate cake when we stayed in 2014. Breakfast sakto lang din.
2. Vivere - Malaki ang rooms (may living area) but dated yung rooms. Walang partition between the living area and the bedroom so mahirap pag bukas yung both TV. Limited selections for breakfast buffet pero maganda yung view sa restaurant. Super expensive ng food. If I remember correctly, 500 yata pinakamurang simple meal. Maraming restaurants around so sa labas na lang kami kumakain.
3. Hotel Kimberly (Tagaytay) - Ok sya lalo na pag may kasamang kids. Limited din ang breakfast buffet pero pwede na. Friendly and courteous and staff.

Will try Oakwood naman next.

Ask ko lang kung may nakapag-try na bang mag book (condotels etc.) through AirBnb ? Gaano siya ka reliable ? I mean, ang mumura kasi ng per night. Will be coming from abroad in 2 weeks time at wala pa akong accommodation na nakukuha. Paano naman kasi ang mga hotel kaloka sa per night na presyo. Help naman mga sis. I'm looking for a place where we can stay somewhere near SM Mall of Asia for 4 adults.  TIA

^Ok naman ang AriBnB though di ko pa personally na-try. Kaso may mga naririnig ako lately na may mga unit owners na basta basta na lang nagca-cancel ng booking. They will find a new unit naman for you kaso syempre hindi mo na alam kung ano features nung bagong unit. Minsan pangit yung napapalit.

we always book our trip thru airbnb, for replacement sa hotels. so far wala namang problema na cancelled booking.

pili ka nalang ng madaming OK na reviews na merong accommodating hosts para sure ka.

^^^airbnb suki here, natry ko na both local and abroad. So far wala pa ko naging problem with booking/cancellation. I always make sure na verified ang account ng host, and also may mataas na rating/feedback din. I also check yun accounts na mga nagsulat ng reviews. Lakin tipid kasi talaga especially pag buong family kami.

Just wanted to provide feedback for our stay at Somerset Alabang. We stayed there from Dec/31 - Jan/2.

The room that we got is a 1 BR suite and they gave us a corner room so ang ganda ng view naming on New Year's Eve. Sobrang laki ng room. Kumpleto sa gamit (ref, oven and microwave in 1, washing machine, utensils, cooking wares, induction stove, etc). They also provided dishwashing soap/sponge and laundry detergent. Di ganon kalaki yung pool so I think it will be crowded during summer. Everything is perfect aside from the breakfast buffet. Very limited selection and puro processed like tocino, longganisa, hotdog, etc. Wala rin bacon. They have crispy liempo pero ang kunat at walang lasa! Wala akong mapakain sa baby ko aside sa bread and egg. Location wise, okay kasi may malapit na maliit na mall (forgot lang kung ano), it's across South Supermarket and may malapit na mga kaninan. The staff are friendly naman.

Will I stay at SAM again? Maybe. If they'll improve their breakfast selection.
