@dndz this is an old paniniwala. The real reason naman in getting Principal Sponsors is for them to guide you in matrimony. Para may hingan kayo ng advice in times of trouble. My mum is separated, but she has been chosen as a PS a lot of times. I am getting naman an aunt who is not married but who always gives good judgement.

Hindi naman lahat ng kasal eh maayos ang pamumuhay and not all of them are role models in  life. There are some who are single but always gives good advice. Good luck. ☺

Hehe thanks sis! Dati kasi sa wedding nung used to be friend ko na close friend niya sinama pa niya yung bf niya kahit out of the country pa yun at siya nagbayad! Pero pano kaya sis? Sabihin ko sa kanya beforehand or let her know when she gets the invite?

I have a question, my brother's getting married and they (he and his fiancee) wanted me and my sister on their entourage... The thing is, i'm already married and I'm expecting...

Question mga sis, may guidelines ba in choosing a PS?

We chose our PS kasi sila yung kinoconsider namin mentors namin. And some of them naman, eh friends ng parents namin. I think ang important lang na basis in choosing your PS is your relationship with the person, kung sa tingin mo eh may maikocontribute ba sya sa success ng married life nyo. Hehe

So how do you say this nicely? Hmm kasi i have a friend din na gusto magsama ng +1. I already told her na we'll have to check muna kung kaya pa i-accommodate, but she said malabo sya makapunta if hindi kasama partner nya. Infairness naman to them, they are married naman so I'm really considering... But then, sayang din kasi yung slot sana for another close friend. Tapos she keeps on saying na baka nga daw di na sya makapunta, i find it a little passive agressive para iconfirm ko na yung +1 nya.

^ I have the same dilemma. Don't know want to do tuloy.  :-\

Sis parang ibang case ata pag married couple ang iinvite. Parang need ata iinvite talaga hehe. Parang diba dapat friends kayo at naiintindihan nya yun? Hmmm

Some churches do not allow children below 5 to be part of the entourage. That's one of the rules in the church where we got married. Maybe you can use this as an excuse. Hehe.

Sis, thanks for the tip. If only we're having a Catholic wedding. Christian wedding kasi kami. But I'm seriously thinking right now na sabihing ayaw ni pastor. Haha! I kid. 😝 Haaayy...maybe I'll just tell my coisin na praktisin na maglakad si baby nya. :)

Maybe something like that ang another option mo. ☺

Sis yannuh, most of married friends automatic have +1s, actually sa invitation kasama talaga name ng partners nila. But that's because I am friends with them... So with this one person na hindi ko kaclose yung partner nya napapaisip talaga ako, kasi the other naman who asked me for a +1 na I said na titingnan muna, hindi naman naging passive aggressive like that... I opened this up to fiance and sabi nya, if she can't go without a +1, then so be it daw.

Wonderful suggestion elarose! Thanks so much sis!  :-*

sis [/simangb], sobrang malayo ba si friend mo sa venue ng wedding or wala talaga sya masasabayan kaya nya nasabi yon? Or maybe baka sobrang close kayo straight to the point nya nasabi. hehe. anyways, agree with your fiancĂ© on that. Discretion nyo as a couple kung sino iinvite-in so I find it rude na may parang kondisyones si friend.  :P Just recently naman, we attended a wedding, pinsan ni bf. Never ko pa na-meet but then +1 na agad ako. Naisip ko baka close talaga sila mag-cousin kaya ganon. Pero still kayo pa din as a couple dapat masunod. ;)

I have a question mga sis, how do you tell your MIL na huwag ipilit gawing Ninong/Ninang her friends na hindi sya maooffend?  My hubby doesn't know them or is even acquainted with them. Yun yung dilemma namin ngayon kasi naexplain na namin before kung sino yung kukunin naming mga PS :(  kasi gusto namin eh yung magiguguide talaga sa amin in our married life  By the way, my hubby and I are the ones who are paying for our wedding. Although she has offered to add, but we declined.  We believe kasi na kaya kami lalagay sa tahimik eh kaya na namin bumukod, not to mention both of us are financially stable naman. Plus mas maganda na din na ganun para we have the last say. :(

Problem ko din yang mga +1 :)) I know na proper etiquette dictates na pag married, automatic invited ang mga asawa (which is not the case kung mag bf gf pa lang). Yun nga lang with my and fiance's barkada, parehong malaki ang group of friends namin. Some +1's are close to us while others, hindi pa namin talaga nakakasama. So hirap na hirap talaga kami sa guestlist and until now di pa namin sya ma finalize.

After reading this thread about the vip table, i finally realized na hindi ko pala naisama the spouses of some of my principal sponsors. Hay. By right, kasama pala dapat sila. Need to talk to my stylist now.

Hi, Mga Sis -

Question: Can I replace the Maid of Honor speech with a Friend's Speech? My Maid of Honor is my sis-in-law. I got her out of my outmost gratitude to her. But we are not really friends as in super friends. I'd rather have one of my friends (my Veil Sponsor) to do the speech. Is this ok?

I am sure my SIL will not mind. My friend is hesitant though.

^i think ok lang yun sis:) you can personalize the program naman since wedding mo naman yun:) si close friend din ni husband ang nagbigay ng speech instead of his best friend kasi shy type si besty :D
