Napainsin ko na ang dami na threads ng oDesk pero walang Freelancer.com so here it is!

https://www.freelancer.com/ is an Australian company and they have an office here in Manila. Yung employees dito yung customer support and engineering nila. It's definitely legit and has over 14 million users.

Sino dito gumagamit ng Freelancer.com? Share your experiences!

Hi Sis Burberi, I signed up sa Freelancer.com. Naaward ako ng project pero minessage lang ako nun employer. When I checked his profile, closed na. Baka ginamit lang nya yun freelancer.com for free ride?
Should I still continue with the project?

^No sis wag mo gawin kasi closed na yung account nya. How else will he pay you? Did he ask you to take the transaction out of the site?

Hi sis sinabi nya contact ko sya via email. He can pay via PayPal etc. Nistart ko un job, captcha [textspeak!] pla.

@blueberryalmond - yikes sis! hindi kasi safe for you kapag ganyan. parang direct hire ka na nya and out of the site na. so if may problem, the site can't back you up. hindi mo rin maiincrease reputation mo. Feeling ko kaya na-close account nya kasi nagse-send out sya ng contact details nya to freelancers, which is against the rules. Pag on site kasi, pwede ka magrequest ng milestone payments, tapos maho-hold na yung pera sa account nila so sure na may funds pambayad sayo.

Anyway, since na-start mo na, sana maging ok yung job mo with the employer.

@chedz.03 - yes, pwede naman mag-work sa freelancer.com kahit anong country ka pa.

Signed up. ask ko lang, i also signed up for a paypal account and added a bank account for withdrawal.

sa freelancer, i am trying to add paypal to verify payment method. kaso bakit nakalagay dun pay with paypal account and asking me to add debit/credit card?

also, i cannot change my country. dito kasi ako sa office and HK ang server namin. I cannot change it to PH.

help much appreciated.

If you get a project at Freelancer, always use the site for payout or any transactions you make with the employer. Kapag lumabas na kayo sa site, wala ng protection. Maraming scammer doon kapag hindi kayo marunong mag ingat. Sayang ang effort at oras kapag hindi nabayaran

pano kayo nakakakuha ng jobs sa freelancer. usually kasi graphic artist need nila e sa excel at data entry lang ako marunong. pano yun? hirap makakuha ng job

Regarding Freelancer, i have signed up and made a couple of bids. I already have a Paypal account pero di ko alam pano ilink yun sa bank account ko. Just now, may nagmessage sa akin ng project kaso parang gusto nila magbigay muna ako ng deposit na refundable naman daw. Ask ko lang if ganun ba talaga sa freelancer, dapat may deposit muna?

Hello, recently signed with Freelancer.com. I am not yet familiar with Paypal and stuff. I tried to link my new Paypal account but it is asking me to put on my credit card. Unfortunately I don't have one. Does that mean di na ako pwedeng makamember?

Who asked? The employer? No, you definitely shouldn't give them money. That's fishy!
