Totoo ba? Re: karma of womanizers
« on: December 27, 2014, 02:36:33 am »
i know i'm old enough to make my own decisions and suffer in whatever consequence it will result to, but i just can't help but wonder...

Kayong dalawa ng asawa mo gumawa ng relationship nyo, kung ano mang state nyo ngayon, nangyari yan dahil sa inyong dalawa, not because your Dad was babaero noon.

I used to hear of this joke - kapag babae ang lumabas na anak, sasabihin nila - pambayad ng utang nung father.

Let your dad think it's his fault so maybe, just maybe, that will make him stop his philandering days.  ;D

it's just coincidence, in my opinion.  i know firsthand where the father was a known womanizer and yet the 3 daughters' marriages were ok.

I've heard about that too, and honestly it got me concerned for a time. My father used to be a philanderer too.

So when I was single, I used that fear/paranoiah/whatever it's called to propel me to be wise in choosing my future husband, to use my mind, and not just solely depend on spark/kilig factor. And I also prayed for guidance along the way. So far, so good, by God's grace.

As per your thread title, no I don't believe it. It's not like your future is predestined because of your father's folly. We're given the free will to create our own destiny with God's guidance.

Sabi mo nga rin:

you're old enough to make your own decisions and suffer from the consequences it will result to.

frankly speaking i wouldnt exactly say na yung anak mo ang magsow ng karma ng ama nya, the opnly way for things to turn out the way you want it is let your kid live the way she is supposed to environment and peers has a factor in a child's life so kung may karma man yung tatay nya kung di naman nya papasukin ang maling buhay hindi sya ang sasalo ng karma even though she is her father's daughter. 8)

i don't believe in this...

pero naniniwala ako na whatever image you hold of your father (or father figure) inside your mind might positively or negatively affect you (subconsciously) when choosing your partner in life. parang yung sa sex and the city na episode with carrie & bon jovi, for some reason they kept choosing the wrong person. minsan kasi love is blind so we have to think when choosing 'the one' :)

my mom strongly believed this and pretty much sentenced kaming mga babaeng anak niya na kakarmahin kami sa ginawa ni daddy. i think in her mind nagsimula na ang pity niya sa amin. oh well she's so fatalistic like that.

but i'm a strong believer of carving out my own destiny in this world and that whatever consequences that happen is a result of my own actions and decisions. and this "ordeal" that had happened to my family only thought me how to become a "good wife" to avoid such problems. plus! i believe sa law of attraction and i'll attract that damn good karma one way or the other! haha.

I totally believe in karma, sana lang kasi ang karma ay babalik dun sa taong gumawa ng kalokohan and di na madadamay ang pamilya. But come to think of it, pamilya kayo eh, kung anong ginawa ng ama, pinapasok nya yun sa loob ng small community ng family nya. My dad is a womanizer, since bata pa ako till now.

Life is what we make it. Life is a choice.

History repeats itself.

I think it becomes true when you believe (like our mothers) na it's the absolute, bound to happen, set in stone eventual reality.

Maybe its because of the bible verses about punishment of sins (Father's) that are being carried over to the next generation, yung sinabing saling lahi. But in New testament all sins have been forgiven diba so no punishment na, its just that we suffer the consequences of our actions.
