^ hindi naman sis siguro sya symptoms ng dehydration no? medyo praning hehe.. para kaseng hindi naaabsorb ng katawan ko yung fluids na iniinom ko. pagkainom ko, wee wee ko lang din after ilang minutes..

^I do this too. more water, juice and lip balm. And then I try to avoid sweets din (which is very hard) - nakakadry sya.

maybe you can ask your OB din if she has more suggestions.

It's been a while since navisit ko thread natin.

I gave birth na mga sis last feb 6, 11:30pm via emergency cs. Nag severe pre eclampsia ako with my bp shooting up ng 160/120. My ob was very concerned so she performed cs right away dahil term narin naman si baby ko nun. Delikado daw kasi kay baby.

So far, my baby's thriving well ako yata hindi hahaha. We're ebf and problema ko talaga ang engorgement ngayon even with frequent feedings of every 2-3hrs. Nag pa home visit din ako sa lactation counselor and she did lactation massage sakin.

Yung iba nammroblema paano iincrease milk supply, ako nammroblema paano iddecrease. Ang sakit ng breasts ko kasi less than 2hrs palang ng last feeding ni baby engorged na ako. Pumping will make it worse lang so hindi ako pwede magpump. Ang dami ko na daw plugged ducts.

Yung cs mga sis, i dont know pero for me parang ang easy lang naman. I can sit up on my own hours after the anesthesia wore off na. Kaso suka ako ng suka nung nasa recovery room. They fed my baby with formula dahil hindi mapalatch kasusuka ko. Parang mas madali pa naging process ng cs ko than going into natural labor hehe!

Sa mga sis natin na gusto mag breastfeed pagkapanganak, push nyo sis. It's very rewarding. Wala ako nagiging tulog but it's so worth it talaga knowing na baby's very healthy and only you can give it to her.

^congrats sis! sarap naman at nakaraos ka na. If it weren't for the possible complications, I would go for CS. Higa ka lang tapos paggising mo tapos na.

regarding engorgement, pwede ka magbawas ng milk either by pumping or manual expression just enough to relieve the engorgement. wag mo uubusin and just to signal your body na konti lang ang kailangan mo para sa next production nya babawasan nya na. just remember supply and demand. OR on your 6th week at ganyan pa rin, maybe you can consider donating your milk.

excited na naman ako..... shucks! 17 days to go pa before my 37th week.

Sis Aiah congratulations! Wow lumakas naman loob ko dahil sa sinabi mong ang Dali lang ng CS. Hehe.

Regarding engorgement sis, based sa nabasa ko sa Breastfeeding Pinays, i-hand express mo na lang, hindi pa daw advisable ang pumping or to use pump less than 6 weeks post-partum kasi it can cause daw mastitis. So for the mean time hand express na lang muna sis. After 6 weeks ayun na saka ka na magpump. Ngayon pa lang sis makakapag-build ka na ng stash mo dahil sa supply ng milk mo. Hehe

I will be admitted na tonight. Then CS tomorrow morning. Sana smooth delivery din for me.

^i hope for your safe delivery sis. Aba, talaga namang majority sa atin ay CS.

Sis aiah, when engorgement happened to me, nagpump ako but saglit lang. Just to relieve the engorgement. Mas prefer ko ang pump, hubby try to hand express it but mas masakit eh. Ang side effect naman sa akin ng anes eh yung chills, grabe an hour after the operation lamig na lamig ako. Ramdam ko rin agad yung right legs ko an hour after. Yung left siguro mga 5 hours after.

Tiring but rewarding mag-ebf kay baby. When you see them thriving, worth it ang pagod. At grabe ang bilis ng weight loss ko, almost 15lbs lighter na ako compared to my maximum weight while preggy. I know it is not good din but di naman ako nagdi-diet. I have bfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, and minsan may midnight snack pa. Niloloko ko na nga si hubby na i think i have to do a shopping trip soon kasi baka sobrang luwag na ng  mga damit ko.

Safe delivery sis kymmiiee!

Lahat ng labs ko sa New World ko pinapagawa kasi naman more than half the price sila sa hospital. Ok naman ang service at sabe naman ng OB ko ok naman daw ang New World. Nagstart na rin magchap ang lips ko. Pati face ko nagdadry na rin...haay! I was prescbribed pala cantibex ni OB para dun sa rashes ko down there. She also said to use dove sensitive as my feminine wash muna.

38w3d na ako at gusto ko na manganak haha! Si sis panini palang ata ang NSD ngayong Feb halos lahat CS...sana dumami pa ang NSD :-) good luck sa mga mommies na ma-aadmit na soon at manganganak na! Kayang kaya natin to! :-)

Congrats to all who have given birth na! Nesting phase ako ngayon and waiting game na lang. 38w5d na ako. Finding it hard to sleep and move around! Good luck and God bless to those who are also delivering soon!

Hi sisses!

Its been a little over a week since i gave birth via nsd. I keep on reminiscing kung ano nangyari last week simula nun nagkaroon ako ng contractions. While i was on labor, i kept telling my husband one and only baby lang namin to, dahil sa pain. But ngayon pa lang, namimiss ko na maging buntis and namimiss ko ba the whole experience of being pregnant kaya baka ma sundan pa ng 3 si little one namin.

Recovery for me was fairly easy, ang mahirap na part is the chinese customs and traditions I have to follow.

Sad lang baby has an infection kaya naiwan pa hospital, but he's doing great na. Antay na lang kami
Ma circumcise cya. I cant wait to bring him home. I thought i was a tough person, di iyakin, uber independent, super strong. But paglabas ng little one, it changes us mommies noh? Suddenly emotional nako, tapos pag namimiss ko baby ko iyak nako agad. Sigh.

Good luck to all who are about to give birth na. I hope your experience will be as smooth as mine. Kahit medyo matagal yun labor ko (12 hours), overall it was very very rewarding. Thumbs up to my ob who took very good care of me all throughout my pregnancy and my baby.

Mga sis, may ma suggest ba kayo na gift to my Ob? I love her and i just want her to know how much i appreciate her.

Hello mga Sissies! 

Long time no posts, grabe!! 34weeks pa lang ako pero si baby weighs 3.1kgs na 
natakot tuloy ako kasi sa result ng u/s 37weeks na daw ako. 
kaya may sugar tests tuloy ako next week.

Hi mga sis, my son is 2 weeks old na. We had his first check up, BFing is going well and he is gaining an ounce a day. He did lose some weight the first few days Kasi it took 3 days for my milk to come. Medyo na delay kami with CDing. Hubby has been the primary care take and he prefers using DD kaya ayon, Wala ako magawa.

The last couple of weeks, hubby did most of the things in the house and caring for the kids and me kasi CS nga ako ang I need help din. All  I did was breast feed the baby, hubby na Bahala the rest. Today, he goes back to work kaya Medyo Mahirap kasi first time for me to be on my own with my 2 kids for the whole day.  So far ok naman, hope I get through today. It is always the first day that is difficult.

One thing to get excited about today is I started using our newborn cloth diaper stash.

Congratulations!!  Kami anxiously waiting pa..haha 36th week ko nung Tuesday..eto na..considered full term na!! About s epidural mukang ayaw nyo ah..haha sobrang love ko si baby ko syempre ayaw ko maapektohan sya kaso baka lalo ko sya hindi malabas dahil sa sakit baka himatayin ako.. kaya ko siguro tiisin yung labor pero yung paglabas nya sa vaj ko? Hindi ko maisip yung sakit, tapos may risk pa ng tearing kung hindi ie episiotomy. Yun lang talaga ang ayaw ko maexperience hahah

@darcey_bebe: hi sis sana maging ok naman ang glucose test mo! Hindi ka ba nagglucose test nung mga bandang 24-28 weeks? Laki na ni baby mo ah! :-) ako nung 37w ko nasa about 2.5kg palang baby ko...small for his age pero doc is not worried daw. Saka ate ko maliit din magbuntis. Pinanganak niya pamangkin ko ng 2.58kg ng 39weeks!

@mjp: kayang kaya mo yan sis! :-) i hope kayanin mo ng sobrang di hirap. Ang bait ng husband mo at siya talaga nag-asikaso ng lahat.

@ezra: sis kaya yan! :-) hehe imagine mo ang daming moms na nakayanan yan :-) yun nalang din iniisip ko haha! Sis better daw ang tearing kesa episiotomy...faster magheal kasi susundan ng tear yung tissue mo talaga. Saka basta daw wag super ire...relax daw muna to give time para magstretch yung perineum mo. Yan ang sabi saamin sa birthing class. Sana lang maalala ko lahat yan pag andyan na haha!

Sis Ezra0916, I gave birth to my eldest without epidural. I took birthing classes before and the breathing exercises really helped me through labor. More than 16 hrs ako naglabor noon. Hindi rin ako na episiotomy, my OB was good. He helped me and hubby get into a breathing rhythm everytime I have strong contractions noong nasa 8cm na ako.  I was 1cm when we got to the hospital Pero we went walking around the complex nd nearby Mall, Sabi ko Balik nlang kami if di ko nakaya ang sakit. OB told me to listen to his directions, when to push and breath. I had it in my birth plan to have the epidural at 6cm Pero since kaya ko pa, hindi nlang muna and to wait, ayon hindi ko nman pala kailangan. Motherhood brings us a lot of surprises, Lalo na ilong kaya natin at hindi kaya. I used to be matatakutin, surprisingly when it comes to my kids hindi ako natatakot.

^sis ang galing naman ng sa eldest mo. yung OB kasi sabi niya saken automatic ang episiotomy tapos epidural advocate din. actually mabait naman OB ko kasi go siya sa natural birth yun nga lang ayaw niya yata ako pahirapan hehe

side note- nanganak na pala si christine reyes. mas nauna pa ako nabuntis sa kanya mga 1 month ata, premie yung baby naisip ko tuloy dapat mas lalo ako mag ingat kasi in less than 2 weeks pako full term.

mjp: congrats sis question, did you take some supplement para lumabas ang milk mo sis? kasi ako 34 weeks na wala pang tumutulong gatas. Yan din ang goal ko, EBF until 2 years old

preggygielian: meron sis bandang august pa un.. ipapaulit nga ni Tita OB kasi daw big baby anak ko.. sabi ko naman malalake kasi kaming magkakapatid. ang sister ko inire ng mama ko ng 9something pounds eh.    kaya malamang ang baby ko, malake din  kamusta naman ang baby mo sis?

Hi mga sis! Naku ang tagal since my last post. Sobrang busy kasi sa trabaho. Pro finally I'm going on my 37th week na. Hindi ko na kinaya kaya eto naka leave na ko Sabi ko magleleave ako pag due date ko na (March 10), e hindi ko na rin kinakaya pala ang byahe. Araw araw pa ko tumatawid sa footbridge. Pero nakakatuwa every time nararamdaman nyo sumisipa si baby in all the right places? At least alam mo na tama pa din position nya. Sa mga malapit na, lakad lakad na tayo madalas. Next week start nko magwalking malapit samin. Sabi ko kay hubby sa mall na lang, sabi niya huwag daw dun kasi magastos. Hahaha. Sa mga mommies pala na nanganak na, ano maaadvise nyo saming first time soon to be moms na kelangang dalhin sa hospital at pinakamagagamit ni baby sa first few days nya so far?
