^CS is considered major surgery, would you go malling a week after heart surgery? Your body needs to rest and recover. You might risk opening your sutures

The ff day pa ako nakakain kasi inantay pa umutot.

Priceless

If I remember correctly, pina tayo na ako at pinalakad after tanggalin yung catheter (masakit yung pagtanggal) on the second day (I still had my surgical drain then). On the second day din tinanggal yung surgical drain (SUPER SUPER SAKIT NITO). First two days ni-sponge bath lang ako. On the third day naka ligo na ako, pwede sana on the second day kaso lang super sakit nung pag tanggal ng surgical drain so I had to recover from that muna. On the fourth day, mobile na talaga ako, naglalakad na ako to and from the nurses' station plus I didn't need to use a wheel chair na to be discharged.

From Day 2 onwards, after the catheter and the drain were removed, naka surgical support binder na ako, and I wore that for 3 months. After 3 months, I bought other binders as well, and wore those for 1 year, even in bed at night. Very effective yung binders for the pain and to make the tummy smaller quickly.

The day after discharge we came back to the hospital for my son's first check up with the pediatrician post-discharge, and one of the nurses was quite surprised na sa mobility ko. Most of the nurses kasi dun sa floor where I stayed were Filipinas so they were the ones who kept on encouraging me to try to walk and be mobile, kasi the more mobile I was daw, the less painful it would be. Of course I was still taking it slow sa mga movements ko, but I was very much mobile na from discharge onwards. After 3 weeks, I had my post natal massage and the javanese post-maternity wrap treatments na.

I would not be risking that long walk at the mall, but I was already mobile that same night when I had my elective CS.  I had to go to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth.  The following day when the nurse removed my catheter (luckily it was not painful for me kasi the extraction was very brief), I went to the CR again to urinate.  On the 3rd day, I was already having a hot bath.

^ same tayo. I was pretty mobile na agad. Gave birth Saturday morning. Monday, naligo na ako ng tanghali (after OB changed my dressing) before kami nag-discharge sa hapon. I wanted to walk na nga up to the lobby or sa parking but they won't let me. Pagkauwi, I did a bit of walking around the house lang (to/from cr, dining area, etc), but of course alalay pa din kasi considered major surgery nga ang CS.

At one week or two weeks post-op, I wouldn't really suggest going to the mall yet and braving the crowd at a baby fair. Baka masagi pa tyan mo or what.

Hi mga sis!  Finally i already gave birth to a healthy baby girl january 24. Ayun dito pa kami ni baby bukas na labas namin,  i was able to get up na maglinis at slighlty walking papuntang cr,  minsan naiiyak ako sa sakit ng tahi ko kasi mas masakit nga daw pag second time na kasi hiniwa yung old stitch.. Haha last na si baby kota na ako1 boy and 1 girl.

^ omg that's my worst nightmare!!! When I was told I needed an emergency cs I told my anes to promise I'd feel no pain. When she did the tests to prick my belly I told her I could still feel it even if I didn't. So I think I got a little overdozed, I couldn't focus to see my baby when he was born. I remember only seeing his face while I was in recovery na

Congrats, sis ehlabart!

Wow, medyo scary yun ha.. I remember tuloy nung na-cs ako. Emergency din, ayaw kasi bumaba ni baby then stuck ako sa 8cm for a few hours na din. Nafi-feel ko yung paghiwa, although walang pain. Pero na-praning ako so I kept telling the Docs na "doc, medyo nafi-feel ko yung paghiwa. Tumalab na po ba anesthesia?". Paulit-ukit ako, so paulit-ulit din kami sa prick test. Ayun, 1am na nailabas si baby. Dapat kasi hahabulin namin na before midnight mailabas.. oh well..

Talaga, mas masakit daw wound sa 2nd cs? Waahh.. kinakabahan tuloy ako mabuntis ulit.. though, at least 1yr from now pa naman namin balak.

i see.. kasi yung MIL ko dami paniniwala e. bawal maligo for 1week then after 1week di pa rin pwede maligo ng malamig na tubig blah blah... hayyy

From OR to Recovery room kasama ko na agad si baby. And since then, baby never left my side.

^ my OB said I could do light exercise at 3months post-partum. She checked my incision and healing nicely naman daw. But she said I should not exert too much pa daw muna, alalay pa din. So she said brisk-walking is ok, no running/jogging muna. So I guess you may use the treadmill na, basta wag naman yung takbo. Fast walk na lang muna.

My OB also allowed me then to go back to yoga. Basta light stretches lang daw muna. So I went back to doing yoga, pero I skipped  the poses where I needed to use abdominal muscles (like holding a plank, etc) and where the tummy is stretched (like holding a back bend, bridge, etc). I also advised the teacher that I just had cs operation kaya slower pace ako and there will be poses na di ko gagawin.

Just listen to your body, and consult your OB din.

Hi mga sis! Elective CS din ako.. Dami ko nabasa stories and so far most were positive naman. Good to know at least less pressure.

May certain type ba ng undies or pajamas or maternity pads pag CS? [textspeak!] kaya ang mga things to buy? May ma-advice ba kyo?

TIA!

I went back to the gym after my 3rd month appointment. OB cleared me basta no running. First day back at the gym and I did body pump class na agad with light weights. I also did planks kasi it's good to strengthen the ab muscles naman (given the clear by my OB to do this too) kasi nasa ospital palang ako, a physiotherapist would see me every single day and tinutulungan nya ako mag ab exercises agad pero shempre no lifting the head etc pero working out my abs pa rin
