Day 1 - Tokyo (will be arriving the night before)
Day 2 - Osaka
Day 3 - Osaka then go to Kyoto
Day 4 - Kyoto then go back to Tokyo
Day 5 - Tokyo (will depart at night)

Masusulit ko ba kung mag JR Pass ako with these trips?

Hi sis, why not just stay in Tokyo? Masusulit mo man ang JR Pass sa itinerary na yan, hindi mo masusulit yung overall trip. Hehe. There's so much to explore in Kyoto kaya bitin ang 1 day doon. You can visit Fuji from Tokyo naman.

^ Oonga 5days din kami pero tokyo-hakone lang ginawa namen. Sayang kung isisingit pa ang Osaka-Kyoto bitin sa oras.

Has anyone flown to Tokyo via PAL or any non-budget airline on a seat sale / discounted fare? How much was your RT fare?

^Tickets bought from PAL's seat sale for April flights - my sister got it for 376 USD two weeks ago, then my cousin for the same flight, 416 USD.

^Thanks, ataypool. That's roughly 17-19k in peso. Is that already considered a good deal, at least for PAL?

^Yes it is good deal. We were checking the prices since December; Cebu Pac was about 17000 pesos without the baggage, PAL was 231 USD one way, ANA almost the same, JAL 50 USD higher, even Delta. My sister was checking it every week until on a Wednesday night 2 weeks ago it was 188 USD one way.

But that flight is the one that arrives at midnight in Haneda airport;either you book a hotel nearby or just stay at the arrival lounge until the train start running at around 5AM.

sayang i cant go back to japan this year for cherry blossom... miss ko na ang cup noodles and my meiji premium collagen is mauubos na. for some reason yung cup noodles (japanese version) na i bought sa imported section ng supermarket here in Ph is very different from the same cup noodles i bought sa japan mismo.  mas masarap yung sa japan mismo.

^^ true yan sis honey bunny When I went to Japan last April, I bought one big box of Nissin Cup Noodles. Ang sarap talaga nya, ibang iba sa nabibiling imported cup noodles from the supermarket here in PH

First time? I would go to Osaka and Kyoto, because the former is the Kitchen of Japan and the latter is the Old Capital, the very heart of authentic Japanese culture and heritage. You cannot declare that you have truly been to Japan if you have never been to Kyoto

Ngayon ko lang napansin merged na pala ito with the Tokyo thread. Can you recommend a good breakfast place in Tokyo that opens from 6 AM or a restaurant open for 24-hours? 11 of us will arrive at Haneda Airport at 5:30 AM and our check-in is at 1PM. Gusto lang magpalipas ng oras, thinking of either Ginza or Shibuya area and kung ano ang mas buhay ng ganyang oras, knowing na ang Japanese mga hindi morning person.

^Dennys fave breakfast namin sa Japan. Masarap din sa Mister donut. fave namin Pon de ring don and gustong gusto ko yun Mocha drink nila.

^Many thanks! I searched for branches ng Dennys and buti na lang meron walking distance from our accommodation, and good thing na Japanese style ang menu nila not American. Doon na lang kami mag-relax. Mister Donut nakarating na ako sa first trip ko sa Tokyo, okay naman ang donuts nila hindi masyado matamis pero ang coffee mas okay pa ang Nescafe instant. Try ko rin iyang Mocha drink nila.
