Hi mga Sis, do you really need to have an invitation from a Japanese citizen to get your visit visa application granted? We're planning to visit Japan 3rd quarter of this year.  I will be coming from Australia together with my hubby and son - we don't need a visa however I would love my Mom from the Phils to come with us and she needs a visa to visit Japan.  Also to add ang mahal pala ng accommodation and normally limited lang to two persons per room. Thanks

Ironically, you have more chances of being denied a Japanese visa if you have an invitation from a Japanese citizen. May napansin kaming pattern recently na yung mga pailan-ilan na nadedeny is may guarantor na Japanese. Siguro mas suspicious sa kanila kasi mas madaling mag-overstay or mag-TNT kapag may “contact,” which is regrettably what many illegal Japayukis do. I doubt paghihinalaan mom mo since she has a clean record naman and at her age, hindi naman siya mapapagkamalang migrant worker. So don’t worry, sis, basta may budget at complete ang requirements, push na push ang family trip ninyo

Sis travelling daisy, airbnb is your best alternative to getting 2 hotel rooms. You can see reviews naman and you can narrow down based on your preferred areas, etc. Ok pa kasi you can choose a full apartment/house and usually me kitchen, so pwede magprepare kahit breakfast or di kaya e takehome ng food for dinner or late-night snacks or something. And sometimes me washing machine din so pwede mag-pack light for a two-week trip then laundry na lang after a few days. We used airbb nung recent Osaka & Kyoto trip namin (last November lang). Oh, and better to reserve as early as you can para mas madami ka maging options.

I booked our 3 night stay in airbnb too for osaka ang mahal na kasi ng mga hotels via agoda kasi next month na trip namin. Tapos mga hostels din kapresyo ng nasa airbnb tapos mas maganda pa so ayun binook na namin tapos nasa Dotonburi area pa. For Tokyo ba, where is the best place to stay? Shibuya ba? Sorry diko pa kasi masyado nababasa mga previous posts.

For the USS: i. Have to buy the studio pass for a day then buy the express pass in 5 attractions tama ba for me to enter fast in Harry Potter? Tama ba?

Also, we're planning to visit sapporo, sa basa ko parang makaka 10k each kami sa train alone, kasi may mga transfers pa, may nakita ako domestic flight 150 dollars, mas ok na yun siguro kasi fast pa. Feasible ba ito for a 10 day trip?

Manila- osaka-kyoto (1day), tokyo-sapporo then tokyo to manila?

Or better kung
Manila - osaka- kyoto- osaka to sapporo then tokyo manila?

^Sa booking.com ako nagpareserve, 48750yen for 5 nights.  Meron kasi dun free cancellation, eh hindi ako agad makapagdecide saan mag-stay. Sabi ni google maps nasa 450m yun hanzomon station to hotel grand arc. Pero mas palagi namin nagagamit na station yun kojimachi station na sabi ni google maps 750m.

^Sunroute kami last year. parang 3500 per night. husband ko nag book di ko na maalala kung magkano. pero for us sya pinaka magandang room sa napag stayan namin sa Japan. kahit maliit maganda at maayos.

How early do you book your hotel? Sa November pa kasi trip namin but when I check now, parang no availability pa naka-indicate. Parang rooms are not open for booking pa. Am I too early? hehe...

You mean pupuntahan niyo lahat, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo and Sapporo in 10 days? Parang hindi feasible sis.

OT: Pero nabasa ko, best way to go to Sapporo is by plane kasi may LCCs naman daw. Yun lang, baka mahirap humanap ng flights na sakto na andun ka? Nabasa ko kasi wala na yung sleeper train to Hokkaido.

Great, thanks Sis orangepulp and candygrenade.  Good to hear na pwede pala kahit wala invitation from a Japanese citizen at mas may advantage pa. I will start compiling requirements so my Mom can apply for her visa in the next few weeks.

Hi sis travelling daisy! We got the triple room at shibuya excel hotel tokyu for 11500 pesos per room per night. Keio plaza hotel shinkuju is a bit more expensive.

Hi, better ba sumali na lang ng tour for Mt. Fuji? Torn ako if mag DIY kami or tour eh. I am with my family kasi and baka mahassle/mapagod sila if DIY gagawin namin. On the other hand, nag dadalawang isip ako mag tour kasi usually mabilisan talaga dun and parang nagmamadali. Any thoughts? Thanks!
