Thanks sis purple_girl  worried lang ako kasi summer - mid april kami pupunta so baka fully booked mga resorts. Mas okay ba ang blue lagoon beach kaysa saud? I have a 12 yr old daughter so I'm quite worried about strong waves na nababasa ko sa blue lagoon.  Thanks again for the reply!

Hi! Anyone from Laoag/Ilocos here?

I'm planning to visit Ilocos soon (driving), hope you could suggest a good itinerary.
After Vigan, we'll head to Laoag, I have no idea where to stop first, we plan to visit Malacanan of the North/Paoay Church, Marcos Museum, Sand dunes (4x4) and Madongan Dam. I want to know the efficient order sana, what to visit first, etc.

Planned stops:
Vigan
Laoag
Pagudpod
Baguio

^Sis I went to Ilocos last March. Kuya Anrel made my tour in this order: Pagudpud, Vigan then Laoag. Laoag ang last kasi plane ako pabalik sa Manila. Ayun.

Sa officemate ko naman Vigan ang last nila.

My brothers and father stayed at Hotel Luna last month and they totally loved it.  Although the price is quite high in this hotel, but it's worth every cent.  You may check out all the positive reviews at Tripadvisor, sis!

Sis, it depends sa budget nyo. But based on my experience ok naman mag tricycle for the tour. If you would read back marami na nagpost ng mga contact numbers ng mga naging tour guide/tricycle driver ng mga Sis natin na nakapag tour na sa Ilocos. I could send you Kuya Arnel's number if you want, sya ang nagtour sakin sa Pagudpud, may contact din sya ng pwede magtour sa inyo sa Laoag and Vigan.

Plano sana namin magroad trip next month. Baka pede naman humingi ng itinerary and tips sa inyo? San ang mga stop over nyo going to ilocos and pabalik manila? We will be travelling with our 2 kids kaya ang balak sana namin hindi isang diretsong byahe lang to ilocos may mga stop over kung san sana magandang magstay and mamasyal. TIA!

Also, since we are from Cebu, we are planning to spend the last day of our trip in Tagaytay from Ilocos before our flight from Manila to Cebu. Is there bus from Ilocos to Tagaytay?

^I think no direct bus sis, at ang layo nun ah, North to South. Why not Baguio na lang?

Sis, tricycle tour in Pagudpud is 600 each (north tour and south tour).

I think sa Laoag and Vigan are 700 each. I'm not really sure sa rate ng Laoag and Vigan may nabasa lang ako na ganito ang rate. Nag commute lang kc ako with my Laoag tour then sa Vigan lakad lakad lang hehe. But I suggest you try the Kalesa tour in Vigan it's 150 per hour ang rate. So worth it...

^beware also of that calesa tour at Vigan.
Sasabihin ng driver, baba kayo dyan sa burnayan, baba kayo dyan sa museum, tapos, nalibang na si tourist, eh per hour ang bayad sa calesa, so triple na ang  babayaran or even more after the tour.

It took us 11 hours road trip to get to Paoay, gas stops and meal times included.
We only had a half day to explore since my husband was attending a conference.
During our half day tour, we got to visit the ff:
a. Bangui windmills
It took us 1 1/2 hours to get to the Bangui windmills from our hotel in Paoay. The windmills were really awesome. My son loved playing in the sand even though it was hot.
Didn't get to stop by the Burgos light house since they didn't allow cars at one point and we didn't want to walk up. Tricycles are allowed though.

b. Laoag
Saw the Sinking Bell tower right across St. William's church

c. Paoay Sand dunes
We got lost going to this so we arrived late and we just took pictures.

d. Paoay Church

Went up to Baguio the next day. It took us 6 hours from Paoay to Baguio via Naguilian road.

Ilocandia tour for only 2,900 group of 10 kami.  Hindi kasama food at yung mga entrance.  Sobrang sulit.  The best ang Paoay Sand Dunes.  Walang kwenta ang Ilocos tour pag hindi ito susubukan.  A mindblowing experience

^true!!! yung paoay sand dunes ang pinakamemorable experience namin sa ilocos. kakaibang experience. yung anak ko tuwang tuwa din dito. super worth it!
