Laoag, Vigan and Pagudpud Thread 12

Just got back from Ilocos. I am from LAoag and my hubby is from Vigan. Mas hotter sa Vigan, per hot din sa Laoag.

If your planning just to ride a kalesa, just for the experience to ride one, I would suggest you take it in Laoag, kasi it is a mode of tranpo kasi doon. You only have to pay php11/pax. But nagdadagdag nalang kami.

Sa Vigan, sa hapon to night, may parang Banchetto sa plaza, infront ng church. Sa Balluarte naman, wala na masyadong tiger. Iisa nalang nakita namin. Pero they have  a new museum, iyong mga african deer something na nahunt ni CS.

Sis you can try Partas kasi apapsok siya sa Vigan- Cubao terminal is along Aurora Blvd pagtawid ng EDSA Cubao. Not familiar saan iyong Pasay Terminal nila. Their fare is 700-1000, depende sa trip na kukunin.

You can also try Viron and Dominion. Cheaper i think price than Partas.

Have spent Holy week in Ilocos..
First time kong pumunta sa Heritage Village (calle crisologo) ng peak season..
Grabe ang daming tao. Parang nagmukha na lang ng baclaran yung street since dami daming stores and dami din tao..
Better to go there off peak.

Umalis kame ng manila thursday night 9pm. Arrived at Vigan 4am.

So we're staying at a transient house in Laoag. I highly recommend JCF grocery and transient home. Super ganda bago. May lutuan. May ref. De aircon. May sala at room. Parang condo type sya. 5 lang kame and ang laki nya para samen.

If im not mistaken, baka the one you're referring to is the one in ilocos sur. Yun yung area na may zip lines.

^yes, main road din kasi yun eh. Tsaka parang wala din ako nakikitang ibang way around it...unless ma-reopen yung lumang quirino bridge to traffic or swim to the other side.

Yung bridge na sinasabi nyo yan ba yung may zipline na tatawid sa dagat? Dinaan kame dyan nun van namin on the way home.

Nung third day na namin dapat pauwi na kame nun pero super bait nun driver.

Dinala pa din kame sa paoay sand dunes,calle crisologo at empanadaan, fort ilocandia.

Just got back from vigan last sat night. We stayed at the cordillera inn. Super love the place and the service. Tsaka along calle crisologo lang sya so nice talaga.

can anyone refer a van for hire to Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud. Would appreciate if you could also share how much they normally quote for a 3days all-in (toll/gas/etc) trip.

We are cuurently on the road for our Luzon roadtrip. First stop was La Union then Vigan- laoag- Pagudpud- sta. Ana- tuguegarao. We're still in Pagudpud and enjoying the waves of blue lagoon although we're staying at evangelines resort. As for the quality of beach , dont expect super fine sand in Saud beach. And marami seaweeds sa beach which i find annoying kaya i prefer blue lagoon more because there you can surf and snorkel. But if you are the type na gusto lang mag relax then Saud will suit you  kasi wala masyado tao while blue lagoon is swamped with people and sa beach marami nag wa- water sports.
As for the van what we did is ask the hotels while we're there na and sometimes pumupunta kami sa mga van terminals. We didnt pre book them. Medyo mahirap on our part kasi apart from marami kami (10pax with 2 kids) we have a long board and may bagahe pa. As in big trolley bags considering 15 days kami on the road..but pag konti kayo ang dali lang makahanap ng van just ask assistance from the hotel you will be sttaying in.

We were in Pagudpud last weekend. We took the Partas Bus 10pm trip from Baguio and arrived in Laoag 6am Sat. Had breakfast at Jollibee and took the van going Pagudpud, fare was 100 pesos. Our contact for the Pagudpud North and South Tour was Kuya Lenzer. He was not able to drive for us and he send his cousin instead, si Kuya Roger. We rented his car for 2200. Previously, we were planning to do the trike tour for 1500 plus 300. Good thing he suggested his car na lang kasi sobrang init naman talaga.

From Jollibee Laoag, walking distance na lang ang terminals going Pagudpud, either you take the van, fare is 100 or the bus, fare naman is 70 pesos. Trip took 1.5 hrs.

We had a great time in Pagudpud and went to Vigan naman the next day. We texted Kuya Roger and he send a trike to fetch us from our homestay to the Pagudpud Bus terminal. Fare was only 60 pesos. We highly recommend Kuya Roger as your tour guide, mabait talaga.

Mga sis, suggest naman kayo yung mga tourists spots sa Laoag, Vigan and Pagudpud na shouldn't missed. Gusto ko mag plan sana magtravel via bus lang with my sis and mother.

If coming from Manila, ano ba dapat unahin na puntahan sa 3? Tsaka need pa ba mag check-in sa hotel sa bawat place? or pwede na kahit pagdating na sa Pagudpud?
