Manila Pen vs Makati Shang

joining this thread! we're planning a january 2016 wedding and considering manila pen for the reception. im a bit scared and intimidated to inquire because it might be too expensive for us. can you guys give a price range for around 150 guests please? thanks in advance mga sis!

The Consevatory at the Manila Pen is too pretty to pass up on. I am such a fan since the recent debut we attended was too lovely, so it surely made me fall in love with the venue some more

Sis Trissy. Sana nga. I will update them every month para makulitan sila sa akin. Hahaha! Super hopeful sana talaga Conservatory na kame Sabi niya earliest I can confirm is Sept 10,2015. But I hope ipencil book na niya ako.

Sis Bzbee. Hi. It will depend on how much per plate you will choose. They do have what they call Intimate Wedding Packages that are a bit cheaper. You just have to email them and they will send you the options. You don't have to be scared

thanks sa replies mga sis! seems like d nga namin afford.  that's already our entire wedding budget. we were open to spending more pero not that much naman. hay, o well.

Sis andeegirlxoxo, bongga i think siya yata yung head nila noh? Si frances din kausap ko initially pero pinahawak nya na sa iba yung amin, pero okay naman kasi bagets so madali kausap

thank you for the kind words trissy! im really hopeful. i still inquired at manila pen hoping we can squeeze our budget a little depending on the packages. by the way, i found makati shang's wedding packages online. updated kaya yun?

^^ Sis bzbee, Tingin ko puede pa yun pero mag ala carte nalang kayo kasi yung mga ibang items naman sa package nila you can easily outsource naman like cake, lights and sounds, bridal car, etc. and you don't really need some of items there i.e. massage, beauty package, bridal journal, buffet breakfast..

Yung sa Shang, take note of their minimum revenue required.. its not there sa package nila.. nagulat din ako when i inquired kasi i relied solely sa package nila na nasa website tapos biglang may minimum revenue pala! Kaloka!

Yes thats true may minimum revenue depends sa function room yun na gagamitin mo. I also didnt get the bridal car, cake, photobooth etc dun sa package nila. Hindi naman significant ang magiing discount mo pero you just get to choose your own supplier.

^^ Sis LGV, yeah nga ngayon daw eh they won't deduct na yung value ng items na hindi you won't avail.. mag bibigay nalang daw ng something in exchange like room upgrade, upgrade ng chairs, or waived corkage.. When's your wedding?

Sis bzbee, if im not mistaken, sa Isabela Ballroom (A and B only, if 150 pax), minimum revenue is 750k (inclusive of taxes na)..

Sis tapos na wedding ko hehe Dec 2013 pa. Bale weekend wedding din ako nun kaya agawan sa date talaga tapos peak pa ang Dec.

hi mga sis! how much quote sa inyo ng manila pen for the conservatory? i really love the place!!! but our wedding budget is only 800k all in for 150 guests. Im not sure kung possible ba yung budget namin to hold our wedding reception in manila pen/shangrila. if not, suggest naman kayo ng decent/elegant venues mga sis. Yung kasing photogenic sana ng conservatory hehe.. thanks!!

^Hi Sis. They have two rates, one is cheaper. And price will depend on how much per plate ang kukunin mo. My advice is you can email them, they will send the prices right away.

Thanks sis andeegirl! I emailed them and they gave me a minimum spending of 490k+ net. Is that the cheaper one that you are referring to? Im still at the initial stage of planning. If thats the rate of our venue, would 800k be enough for our wedding budget?

^ They have the Intimate Wedding Package which is cheaper & they have the Peninsula Wedding Package which is a bit more pricey. But yes the venues have a corresponding minimum revenue. I think 800k will be possible, getting mostly low end suppliers
