^if you want to terminate your policy, pwede naman. just dont pay the next premium. ang problema lang, you have to let go of the first payment na nabigay mo. Not sure if makakausap mo pa yung client about this, kung anong pwede mong gawin.

bakit pala ayaw mo na? Baka naman ok yung product, hindi lang masyadong naexplain sayo ng agent mo. maybe someone could explain it to you better. para at least alam mo kung sulit siya na ituloy or wag na talaga.

^^If you just got it last week, then your policy is still within the 15 days cooling-off period.  If you've decided that you don't like it, you can cancel it and get back the entire premium you paid in full.

@anjcam
Namamahalan lang ako. Annual premium nya ay more than 60 thou for 650k na face amount with riders. Payable in 7 years. Sa iba kasi, meron ka ng 1 million na coverage for around 20k a year for 10 years or so.

@ikaela
Nagrequest na rin ako ng cancellation. Sabi pwede ko pa nga daw makuha yung refund. Buti na lang.

^naku mahal nga yun. In other products, for age 25, you only have 21k annually without any riders for 1M coverage, tapos may investment pa. You can stop paying after around 10years but still good pa din ang policy kasi kukunin lang niya sa investment fund yung insurance charges which is minimal lang. let me know if you are interested, PM mo lang ako.

I just came from a meeting with a BPI-Philam representative, and was actually leaning on getting the Invest Peso Plus. What I liked about it is the one-time payment. Minimum investment is 100k. I can 'top up' if ever I have extra money (minimum of 5k). What I didn't like is that hindi ko sya mamomonitor or hindi rin ako masesendan ng statement of account unless I ask for it. Since hindi sya viewable online, hindi pwede mag-'top up' online. Thanks din to the inputs nila mxherr5 & ikaela medyo naliwanagan din ako. I was also after the charges that they will impose pero forgot to ask about those during our meeting. Also I already have a VUL with Sunlife, for me parang enough na siguro yun VUL ko with Sunlife.

So mukhang back to research uli ako nito. :|

60% ng premium for 1st ye
50% 2nd yr
40% 3rd yr
30% 4th year

something like that.. plus separate pa ba dito yung Insurance charges??  plus may monthly charges pa for managing the investment side..

para saan ba yung 60/50/40 percent na yan?

Madami talaga charges ang VUL even in other providers. In the first years, most of the premium are just going to insurance and other charges onti lang ang investment.

Yes, I have one from Philam, sa 3rd or fourth year pa magkakaroon ng fund value because of the charges for the insurance.

^That's good to hear.

3) In term insurance, yes, the premium you pay will not go back to you if you don't use it (read: die). But the other scenario is you are tying up 400k of your money in that low-bearing BPI savings account. 400k that could otherwise be invested and making more money for you. So it's pay and (possibly say goodbye) 5k now for 1-2M life insurance then invest and grow the rest of your savings vs. letting 400k sleep.

sis, so you mean to say na mas ok to get a term? I also have a get-started account. and yeah, natatali nga ang cash mo, instead of investing it or using it to have a business.

i'm single, so is it better to get a term insurance (life w/ critical illness w/c ever comes first) or a pure health insurance (those with medical reimbursement and a minimal life insurance coverage)? though the premium of the latter is much higher say 10k (1st 10yrs) for the term vs 20k (1st 10yrs) for the health insurance.
My goal is to be secured incase magkasakit ako...so that my savings will not be washed-out....

^The free life insurance from BPI is a good product, but don't rely on it especially if you can afford your own policy anyway. Aside from what I wrote, there is also the possibility that BPI stops offering that product and leave us all account holders without any life insurance.

For now, I would say getting health insurance that comes with a small life insurance coverage is more of a priority for you. For a single person, the risk of getting sick/injured is far greater than that of dying. You can add to your life insurance coverage later on.

BPI
BPI Family

tapos meron pang BPI Direct???  mas mataas ng konti ang interest ng BPI direct Save up (may life insurance rin)

The post above yours answers the question na :)
I have both though -- free life insurance from BPI then separate insurance plan from Philam and SUNLIFE.

If only I don't have a lot of accounts in BPI, ok din yung VUL ng BPI PHILAM.

And yes, madaming BPI companies with minimal differences. I stick with BPI main na lang.

Both hubby and I have BPI's Get Started account with 2M insurance coverage (max).  I have yet to get an insurance for hubby but I got their Invest Plus Peso.  My hubby is so so conservative that I get annoyed sometimes lol.  His money is just sleeping in a regular savings and checking.  I'm crossing fingers he signs the form I filled out for him so he can at least put some of his funds to BPIs short-term fund (dollar and peso).

I also hope that hubby agrees to get BPI Philam's newest product - Build Life Plus.  It's fund is currently below PAR.  hay..

May BPI Philam thream pala  ;D Naligaw ata ako sa kabila.. Anyway, meron bang may Life Protect sa inyo?

Now you can protect your family from life’s uncertainties for as low as P320.00 a month*, for a P1M life coverage!
*Basic plan premium only for one year coverage at age 30.

Depending on your budget, Life Protect lets you choose from among 1 year, 5 year or 10 year premium paying periods.

Tama ba ang pagkakaintindi ko, for 4-5K per year meron na akong term life insurance... Looks affordable kasi pero in the end practical ba? I am also aware na taas ang premium when i get older..

I have something to ask you po sana. Kasi I recently cancelled my policy din under BPI-PHILAM. Gusto ko [textspeak!] po malaman if ano naging process before makuha ulit ang pera?

I hope someone can answer me. Salamat po!

I got BPI-Philam Build Life Plus for my mom last June 2016. We are paying 51k annually and for 5 years daw yung payment. Investment + Insurance nadin siya and sabi ng agent pag natapos na namin yung payment, we have to wait additional 5 years before pwedeng ma-pull out or para makita talga yung benefit nung investment. Is this true po ba?

Anyone who got the same plan from BPI? TIA!
