Morning Star (Book 3 of the Red Rising trilogy) by Pierce Brown -

Definitely one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Veronica Roth should learn from Pierce Brown how to end a trilogy with a bang!

I recommend you to read this trilogy especially for fans of dystopian or sci-fi. A warning though, do not get too attached to a character, they tend to die in one way or another.

Uprooted -  Adult Fantasy novel. I can't get enough of it. I'm still hyped up. It's funny, charming, creepy and suspenseful. It's just the perfect fantasy novel for me and I love all the characters. Sarkan and Agnieszka made me feel giddy. New fav book. It's a standalone book and that is making me sad. Sorry, just fangirling.

i love stories like these, it teaches me na a story can be exciting despite a pretty good boy, likeable, friendly pacifist, and level headed and not-in-your-face-apha-males hero. na a good, goofy/dorky guy can be fun (if not even better!) than the bad boy/tough guy of your dreams.
kat is also very relatable and her line of thinking is belieavable haha.

it's slow and i almost gave up on it. parang may sprinkles lang ng mga exciting part.

gaaah i think making faces is amy harmon's best. it's right up there with Kulti for me. Totally different but equal enthralling and haaays there are just really some books that will stay with you forever and you'll think about even if you're reading other books.

it's a great and different story. i like the author's writing style. and what i LOVE about this book are the songs! now i have two new songs to add to my playlist, elton john's your song and elbow's one day like this. kinilig ako and i got the goosies after listening to one day like this, imagining the scene and the low and husky voice of Nicholas. this is also how i learned about Landslide through a book din and became a fave!

btw for me it's nsfw, unlike yung mga books nina gena showalter, kresley cole, JR ward lol. relatively toned down ang sex scenes haha.

Sis naalala ko dito ko nga pala nakuha yang uprooted and ikaw pala ang nagpost so sobrang thank you talaga! Nabaliw ata ako after ng uprooted hahaha. I even had the nerve to email the author just to ask kung may sequel kaso walang reply haha. I really hope may sequel pa. I want more Sarkan! Nagresearch pa ako and I found out na magkakaron ng movie adaptation. Ellen DeGeneres will produce the movie adaptation after Warner Brothers purchased the rights. Sana matuloy yan at maganda. Thank you talaga sis bihira lang kasi ang books na may ganyang impact sa akin.

It's Duology. The first book is kinda dragging and I think it could have written as one book lang kasi wala naman masyadong ganap sa first book.

This is fantasy novel but I don't think it falls under YA. Parang New Adult/Erotica Fantasy. I am so done with this series. Both books can be good standalone but it's disappointing as a series. There's no natural progression. Biglang OOC ang characters sa book 2 just for the sake of shipping. The sex scenes in ACOTAR is tastefully done and sensual pero sa ACOMAF ang oa and vulgar ng pagkakasulat sa sex scenes, not that I'm complaining but there's something I don't like with how it was written. The MC is also not likeable. Not gonna read the third book.

Cruel Beauty - 

Out of all the beauty and the beast retellings, this is probably the closest.

^^ aaw i'm glad to have extended to you my joy upon reading Uprooted. it's a pretty simple and straight story actually but idk there's something in the book that really draws you in. wooow oo nga maganda siyang pang movie! i wish there'll be a trilogy of this. (ayoko na rin kasi ng sobrang mahahabang story)

gaaah i think making faces is amy harmon's best. it's right up there with Kulti for me. Totally different but equal enthralling and haaays there are just really some books that will stay with you forever and you'll think about even if you're reading other books.

May Kulti feels nga ang Making Faces, sis!  May slight similarities ang personalities ni Brosey (btw I love his nickname) and Kulti, while si Fern naman, kahit hindi kasing-alpha femme ni Sal, had her own strong points, too.  I found her endearing and hindi pa-damsel in distress kahit yung description sa kanya eh medyo feminine.  Mas malungkot nga lang ang vibe ng Making Faces because of the plot.  Oh and I loved Bailey!  He's super funny!  Kaso sobrang naiyak din ako dahil sa kanya.  Yung comic relief na dinala ng character nya parang same as that of Sal's dad

yes mga sis. i think my top reads for my 3 month vacation would be Kulti, Making Faces and Uprooted and i kinda loved The Laws of Moses din because it was so beautifully written for me. i am very glad na these 3 months were not wasted reading crappy books (unlike before), i think i have grown in the reading sense, i really tried to go out there and look for the best of the best kasi matagal tagal if not at all none would i have the time to read for leisure.
mej cheesey but i have sacrificed a lot in pursuit of my dream and i never became bitter over it except for this, na i have to give up my ultimate hobby of leisure reading to read medical stuffs. haaay.
but i'll try to "Leisure Read" if my time though i highly doubt it.

As for me, once classes starts, reading for pressure ang bagsak ko.

on the jellicoe road by melina mercheta - 

This book has a great story. At first i got confused but then i realized na the other parts pala are flashed backs. I cried/got teary eyed a handful of times! The heroine was just so-so for me attitude wise, at times i kinda wanna shake her and tell her to please act mature and be the leader she was appointed to be but whatever, i love love the flashbacks, i think it's what made this book precious.

Fave lines and this is when the tears came:

He’s the most beautiful creature I have ever seen and it’s not about his face but the life force I can see in him. It’s the smile and the pure promise of everything he has to offer. Like he’s saying, “Here I am, world; are you ready for so much passion and beauty and goodness and love and every other word that should be in the dictionary under the word life?” Except this boy is dead and the unnaturalness of it makes me want to pull my hair out with Tate’s and Narnie’s and Fitz’s and Jude’s grief all combined. It makes me want to yell at the God that I wish I didn’t believe in. For hogging him all to himself. I want to say, You greedy God. Give him back. I needed him here.
