^^Always use the lift kapag mag-stroller ka. Di pwede yung tulad sa atin na may sakay na bata tapos mag-escalator.

^Sorry pero regardless kung rush hour or hindi, shouldn't we follow a simple rule? May nakalagay naman dun sa escalator na bawal isakay ang stroller. Just my opinion.

Well ang sinasabi ko lang is pede kung pede, wala naman talaga nakalagay na bawal as in yung tipong may penalty kung dadaan ka sa escalator with stroller.... And im talking from my experience and that's what i see everyday everytime i go to MTR. But then of course it would be better and safer kung gagamit ng lift. Sometimes kasi if in a hurry ang hirap hanapin ng lift and may times din na ang haba ng pila. Avoid using the escalator lang during rush hour kasi talagang sisitahin ka nung mga nagbabantay dahil madaming tao. Actually twing rush hour lang naman talaga may nagbabantay.

Sa mga foodie, open na yung restaurant ni Jamie Oliver in Causeway Bay... haven't tried it though, but i heard a lot of good reviews.... and magkakaron na din pala ng Hooters baka late this year.

And by the way sa mga pupunta ngayong March there's a Lantern Displays in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza by the Water Pools in front of the Clocktower, Tsim Sha Tsui. It is until March 22, 2015, lit-up time from 6:30pm to 11pm daily.

Sis try mo maglakad ng maaga andami sa tabi tabi nyan.... Nabibili sya don sa mga small chinese restaurant na may mga naka display na steamer pag umaga, tindahan ng mga dimsum.... Pero if you want to eat talaga sa restaurant meron nyan sa Crystal Jade.

sis ataypool parang pareho lang.... but i would suggest Soho in Central tabi tabi ang mga restaurant don

I will be in Hong Kong end of March for 2 days only. Kakabasa ko ng forums puro Tsim Sha Shui recommended for first timers but my heart tells me mas okay sa Central/Causeway Bay area. Soho ba parang 'hipster' area? Mas madami ba western restaurants doon? I just want to sample the local cuisine without breaking the budget. How is the cleanliness from the street food? Sorry nagka-trauma na kasi ako I was hospitalised for 2 weeks when I was young for eating street food but I just love them. Is the Peninsula high tea worth it?

Between Central and Causeway Bay para sakin mas okay ang Causeway Bay kasi tapatan mga malls don, madaling ikutan, madami din kainan. Yung soho oo parang "hipster" area tabi tabi ang mga bar and restaurant, halos lahat ng klase ng resto andon na, indian, greek, italian. But if you want to try local food meron din don Tsui Wah (24 hrs) and Yung Kee Restaurant magkatapat lang to. Pero mas okay talaga and mas mura yung twing umaga yung mga maliliit na chinese resto na walang english menu puro picture lang LOL, turo mo lang gusto mo.mga $15-20 hkd lang ang food don. Malinis naman ang mga food dito kasi mahigpit sila sa pagbibigay ng license sa mga kainan dito, i know it for a fact kasi may restaurant yung friend ko, atsaka hindi uso ang langaw dito hehe....

Yung Cafe de Coral, Fairwood at Maxim's mura lang din don, and okay din naman ang food, they also serve roast duck.

Di ko pa na try yung high tea sa Peninsula sis...

Hirap mag-decide kasi re accommodation. Anong resto ng friend mo?
Binabasa ko blog ni jinlovestoeat so susubukan ko Shanghai Min, Wu Kong, Dynasty, and also Joy Hing Roasted Meat, Dim Dimsum and the ones you mentioned or maybe just forgo them if the budget permits so I can go to Lung King Heen or Tin Lung Heen.

Wala ba problema sa customs sa Philippines if I bring roasted meat?

wala naman problema sa customs sis, meron nga tayong mga sis dito na naghahand carry ng roast duck, basta pack lang ng mabuti. Noodle shop yung resto ng friend ko, maliit lang pero pahirapan daw makakuha ng license kailangan pa mag take ng training and exam sa Food and Environmental Hygiene department, pati yung mga staff, kaya mejo kampante ko kumain kahit sa maliliit na shop.

^^Haha ako yata yun. Never fail every time I'm in HKG especially when I was still working lagi hand carry ko roasted duck/goose I get from Taste grocery at Citygate. I have a suki there na pag nakita na ako senyasan lang alam na i-wrap nyang maayos for transport.

@ataypool, even raw meat wala naman kaso sa PH customs wag lang pang-commercial quantity. Hubby always brings in steak from Sydney .

Mamasqueak, nagdadala rin kami noon ng steak, cheese, fruits, onions and garlic (kulit lang ng parents mahal daw sa Manila the last two) from Sydney pag uwi sa Manila but we stopped when a relative brought fruits, confiscated sa Customs, early last year lang. Hindi naman commercial quantity. Ayaw ko lang maniwala kaya tanong ako dito. hehe
