Please comment on our itinerary

We are 2 adults + 2 kids and this is the kids' first time in Hong Kong.

Dec 17

- 1st day/ arrival at 2:25pm

- Check in at Disneyland Hotel (around 4pm?)

- Rest/ look around/ swim in the pool

- Dinner/ kids to participate in "Storytime/ kids club"

Kakayanin pa kaya mamasyal sa city after ng check in?

Dec 18

- Breakfast at Enchanted Kingdom restaurant

- Disney Park

- Lunch + Dinner at hotel's restaurants

Dec 19

- Breakfast

- Disney Hotel check out

- Leave stuff at Royal Plaza hotel

- Ocean Park + lunch

- Check in at Royal Plaza hotel

- Avenue of the Stars or somewhere else to view Symphony of Lights

- Dinner

Dec 20

- Breakfast

- Early check out/ leave stuff at Royal Plaza hotel

- Lunch outside hotel

- Science Museum + the nearby museum

- Dinner at airport

- Departure at 8pm

Is the itinerary doable? What can we do on Dec 20, aside from visiting the 2 museums?

may namimili ba ng branded dresses dito during sale? anong brand ang sulit bilin and when? nagre-rediscount ba sila kapag hindi nabenta yung mga discounted items after some time?

^Sakin and my friends walang stamp rin. Hindi rin ni staple. I'll staple it na lang! Inipit ko lang sa passport sleeve ko kasi.

yung sa amin naman yung IO din nagstaple then yung mga sumunod na visit iniipit nalang nila so pag dating ng hotel ako nagstaple para hindi mawala

Sakin kasi.. Hindi nga ni staple ng IO. So inipit ko lang sa sleeve.

^If you don't want to staple it, ipitin mo nalang sa passport mismo. Sana lang di mawala nung hahawak nung passport mo yung naka-singit.

Just got back from my "amazing race" overnight trip to HKG last night.

My goal was just to follow my daughter's wish to celebrate her 5th bday at Disneyland. Again.

Boarded PR300. Departed at 8am. Mabuhay Class on a B777 with light load.

When I cleared HKG immigration, the IO just slipped our landing passes in our passports. My previous ones were stapled so in fear of losing them, I tucked them into my pspt cover pocket.

Changed money at travelex, changed clothes and left luggage at Regal Airport Hotel. Asked for permission to check in earlier than my husband after my daughter and I come back from Disneyland. They always allow me to do so. bought the park tickets at the Disney Store in t2 (this was before I found out Regal was a disney good neighbor hotel na pala) and had lunch at my usual go-to resto The Baltic.

Spent the entire afternoon in Disneyland. Took the AEL to tsing Yi then the mtr back to sunny Bay to transfer to the Disney line just so my daughter can experience it. Rented a stroller for HKD 100. Caught the 3pm parade. Bought an Anna costume (pikit-mata na lang sa price. Haha) so the little one could roam around the park in it. Elsa and Anna super bilis close ng line for photos due to the nbr of people. Too bad. Did the carousel, dumbo, slinky, jungle river cruise, photo op with Woody, and the electrical parade. Nice din yung tree lighting n fireworks with the acapella choir at main street USA afterwards. There was fake snow from the firehouse as I was returning our stroller. Didn't stay for the fireworks since we've seen it countless times already and we're dead tired. Grabbed a cab back to the airport. Cost me HKD120.

I felt colder in HKG than during my Tokyo trip two weeks earlier. Which was weird. Only for my fever to be full-blown that night. Kaya pala. My first on a trip ever! I chugged lots of paracetamol which my hubby had, as soon as he arrived inom agad for fear of pagkamalang may ebola ako. Haha.

I bought an Elsa costume din on pahabol for my other daughter so super ouchie na to spend almost HKD 1200 on just two dresses. Haha. A moment of insanity. Lol. But seeing my kids' smiles were priceless! 

Ff day, which was yesterday, was one of my most adventurous flights ever. We were waitlisted, downgraded, upgraded at the gate, then finally... Diverted to Clark pa! My day was complete! Was kampante naman since hubby was the captain and I've known his first officer since I was in college.  Blessed to be onboard especially since MNL flights from HKG are all fully booked till early next year. The purser kept high fiving my daughter, saying her birthday in the plane took sooo long. the whole day. I swear I won't do this again next year. Haha.

Next trip, BNE for new year!  Happy flights to all.

mmquack, sis maybe you can use a post-it note para idikit. yung post-it kasi madaling tanggalin? i-cut mo lang siguro ng maliit na square and use it as tape.

Our Hong Kong escapade:

Day 1: Arrived around noon in HKIA. Lined up in the immigration and went straight to our luggages. We had to wait for twenty minutes because the bags were sent out late. After that, bought MTR tickets at the customer service counter and boarded A21 bus to Jordan. We checked in and left our bags around 4pm and took the mtr to TST to get our reserved tickets. Walked to Avenue of stars and passed by Space museum (as expected my son wants to go in and so we did). At around 8PM we are all tired and hungry so we decided to go call the day off. Super haba ng nilakad namin to and from Avenue of stars and MTR buti na lang malamig so medyo comfy. Although I must recommend you to bring gloves, thick jackets and bonnets or screamer for kids kasi super lamig talaga especially the wind. I thought sa night lang pero even at noon halos hindi ko mafeel ang araw sa lamig so you have been warned

Day 2: Ocean park - Mukang extreme ang rides pero in actual hindi naman masyado. Maraming nadagdag na attractions since my last visit in 2008. Super dami ng tao because we went on a saturday but tolerable naman ang lines except sa cable car and submarine train spent 40minutes yata sa pila.

by 7PM we went to The Peak super haba ng pila sa tram pataas then pagdating sa madam tussaud ang haba din ng pila sa lahat ng wax figures and then halos wala rin makita sa sky peak. Pababa naman (tram) ang haba ulit ng pila masama pa lakas ng wind at tagus sa mga jackets namin ang lamig. Sana man lang ang pila sa loob ng mall or terminal pero no! huhu I swear never to go back in the peak again not worth it.

Day 3: We woke up late! Dahil siguro sa the pagod ng Day 2 nakarating kami sa disneyland around 2pm na mabilis naman papasok ng disney pero yung travel and walk from Jordan station took us 1 hour to get there. Hindi na kami masyado pumila for pictures kasi masasayang yung binayad namin so we lined up for shows and rides na lang. I loved the 3pm and 7pm parade pero not so the fireworks. Parang they downgraded ba? or because I somehow compared it to the one in LA. we werent able to see Golden mickey too. At this point I regret not getting the 2-day passes.

Day 4- shopping at prizemart and rode airport bus at TST. It is a good thing na sa TST kami sumakay kasi nauna kami sa seats after two bus stop the luggage area was full na and some had to hold their bags while standing pa. In 2008 I remember we rode a train to our departure gate. Pero ngayon terminal 2 ang check in then terminal one ang boarding. Super long walk again plus nakakalito pa yung directions. So i suggest be there 3 hours before the flight so you can chill pa. This was Dec 8 pala the night Ruby will first hit manila. Our flight was around 7PM pero minimal lang ang turbulence kahit super lakas ng wind. Kudos to PAL pilots and crew. Arrived in Manila around 9PM kung alam ko lang na until 12midnight ang Duty free ngayong dec sana dumiretso na kami sa duty free.

*was able to bought 22pcs keychains for $100HKD sa mirador mansion. Ilove HK shirts for $22HKD too.
*super mura ng chocolates sa prizemart almost half ng prices or less sa prices here.

Just got back from HK/Macau trip super fun trip. to those who are about to visit, I suggest you bring thick jackets,sweaters hats, gloves or whatever that could make you feel warm. super cold talaga yung weather specially sa Disney.

Has anyone tried the Airport Express In-Town Check-in? Is it required that all passengers should be there? My husband and I are thinking that he'll do the In-town check-in on our last night. We want to squeeze in a visit to The Peak on the morning of our flight back so sana we can be luggage-free by then. We dont want to drag anymore our 3 kids with us to the Kowloon Station. Me and the kids will stay in the hotel while he'll do the check-in.

Also, can anyone give me an idea on how much the taxi fare from HKIA to TST?

^ sis, I think all the passengers should be there kasi it's like the regular airport check-in process din e. And you need to have either Airport Express tickets or Octopus Cards to access the check-in areas.

^thanks! that's what I told my husband as well. I doubt he will be allowed to do the in-town check-in without us. We probably just take a cab from Canton Rd to Kowloon.
