Question on Invitations
« on: November 15, 2014, 10:30:21 am »
Hi Sisses!

I would like to ask some questions regarding the invitations for the wedding
1. how early do you give out the invitations? Plan namin is one month prior to the wedding. Masyado bang late yun?
2. For the RSVP part ng invitation, where you put the "Please reply before (date). Name of bride and Groom, then Celllphone Number", how many days before the wedding? 3 weeks or 2 weeks before the wedding ba ay okay? or too late?
3. For the Principal Sponsors, kailangan ba husband and wife kunin? Pwede ba na yung husband lang, or wife lang?
4. If husband or wife lang ang kukunin na PS, dapat ba kasama yung spouse nila sa PS table?

I wanted to ask as well regarding the time for church and reception. I would like to have the church ceremony start by 2PM, and reception at 5PM. dapat ba ilagay ko sa invitation as 2PM and 5PM or agahan ko ng 30 mins? knowing na may mga late na guests?

And church cemony ba will be done in 2 hours? or minsan mas mahaba pa?

Same tayo.. ours will start at 2pm. We booked the church til 4pm. Then reception is 5 to 9 pm. Yung ceremony is 1.5 to 2 hrs including the picture taking na sa church.

Base sa experiece namin..
1.) for us 6 weeks before the wedding atska namin pamimigay ang invites. ( same lang rin, tuwing nakakarecive kami ng invites)

2.) di kailang both gawin principle sponsory.. Either/or pwede :)

3.) based sa mga nakikita ko, di kailangan magkatabi ang mag asawa sa table if isa lang yung kukunin mo( for principle sponsor) but its a must to invite the whole family to ur wedding( in Chi tradition, u need to invites thier children also) kasi pinili m silang pangawlang magulang, so [textspeak!] mga anak nila eh magiging kinakapatid m na

If your ceremony will start at 2PM, place 1:30PM in the invites. :) We've been told that ideal duration of ceremony with pictorials should be 1.5 hours only.

1. how early do you give out the invitations? Plan namin is one month prior to the wedding. Masyado bang late yun?
- 2 months or more if out of town wedding
ok lang din 1 month if you have STD

2. For the RSVP part ng invitation, where you put the "Please reply before (date). Name of bride and Groom, then Celllphone Number", how many days before the wedding? 3 weeks or 2 weeks before the wedding ba ay okay? or too late?
- at least 2 weeks before

3. For the Principal Sponsors, kailangan ba husband and wife kunin? Pwede ba na yung husband lang, or wife lang?
- It's not required to get both of them as PS but the spouse should be invited and placed in the VIP table beside the PS.

4. If husband or wife lang ang kukunin na PS, dapat ba kasama yung spouse nila sa PS table?
- answered ko na pala in no. 3 hehe

Bad practice to put a time earlier than the actual start time. You can put "exactly"

Hi sisses! Thanks for the replies! I learned a lot. My wedding will be my first wedding to attend to, kasi Im overseas. Most of my friends were married in the Phils and wala ako napuntahan. First Church  wedding din both family side namin ni H2B. kaya poor wedding experience talaga ako, kaya very thankful talaga ako sa GT.
Hoping to help future brides a well!

Yes it is a good idea din ano.. disadvantage lang siguro ay doon sa mga walang access sa computers or Internet. Or if some of your guests syempre pag medyo oldie na they don't use computers much or baka hindi talaga marunong gumamit unless they can ask someone else to login for them or if the password is good na for 1 family that might be a better one. :)
In my personal opinion, of course, no technology parin can ever replace the usual wedding invitation cards. That's me though.

According to the coordinator, which we also followed, it is ethical to put the exact time (not earlier).  Yung iba kasi would really go on time and yung mga matatanda naman, even earlier.  So as respect, we should really state the real time.

But I also understand that the other side naman nun, people are expecting that the time placed is earlier so they will come a little later.  :)

1. since our wedding will be on a weekday, we plan to send it out earlier para our guests can make plans agad like filing a leave in their respective offices.  :D our rsvp deadline is one month before the wedding. so mga 8weeks (2 months) before the wedding kami mamimigay.

2. rsvp deadline is roughly 4 weeks before the wedding

3. pwedeng isa lang sa husband and wife ang kunin na ninong, like if hindi ka naman close dun sa isa.

4. ideally, dapat kasama sila. im actually having problems with this na kasi ang dami namin PS na isa lang ang kinuha. so now ang daming madadagdag sa VIP table hehe

Question mga sis, is it proper to indicate the time 30 mins earlier so that the guest/ ento will come on time since the church is very strict with time? Every 1hr & 15mins ang interval for every wedding. TIA!

^ i asked my coordinator about it and its a big no-no daw. because some people would really arrive early. so pangit naman na magugulat sila na hindi pa pala start. yaan mo na lang yung mga late hehe filipino time kasi.

U can just inform all your entourage to come 30min earlier...

Mine, i wrote in my invites 1230 assembly time at the church and 1pm ceremony.

I wrote 10am. A half hour earlier kasi 10 am ang assembly time sa church.
