Manila- Intramuros wedding venues, any suggestions?

Hello everyone! I'm new here and I'm planning to organize my own wedding (happily ever after theme)  and i dint t even know yet where to start. Any recommendations for a good wedding reception venue somewhere in intramuros manila for approximately 200 pax? Badly need ur help guys, doing the planning and all all the way from abroad. What about The Bayleaf Intramuros? Has there been anyone in here have seen the place? Thank you.

I attended weddings held in La Castellana and also inside Intramuros mismo   La Catellana is ok kaya lang mahirap parking    Yung inside Intramuros, mas ok ang parking. The ambience inside Intramuros will add character to your reception kase you're inside old world settings, especially kung Filipiniana yung theme. Kaya lang yung sa Intramuros na na-attenan ko, it's garden setting so if ever you'll choose that venue, better have a backup location just in case umulan

I'm about to get married next year. Church is at St. Pancratius Chapel in Paco Park and we plan to have the reception sa Intramuros para consistent with the old world vibe. Will be doing ocular on the following venues this Sunday  hopefully may mahanap kami na sulit para sa amin. 150 guests and on a tight budget. I didn't want to settle on Ibarra's Garden (yet) until I can totally compare other packages. pero yun nga, pag la kami mahanap na swak within Intramuros, baka dun na bagsak namin.

btw, for those who plan to book Ibarra's garden, they will increase their prices daw by December 1, 2014. Laki ng dagdag so kaya kami naghahanap ng ibang options...

We'll be having our reception sa Casa Blanca, tapat lang mismo ng San Agustin Church since yun ang church namin. Less hassle kasi tatawid lang hehe. Check nyo rin guys kung pasok sa trip nyo ang Casa Blanca okay din sya lalo na pag Filipiniana, Spanish or vintage ang theme nio. In our case pasok na rin sa Victorian/fairytale theme kasi parang my pgka castle ang dating hehe.

Ang function areas pala sa loob ng Plaza San Luis Intramuros consist of Casa Blanca (indoor), Teatrillo (indoor), Casa Manila Patio (outdoor). Ang kinuha namin is yung Casa Blanca very affordable compared sa iba, 17k lang, plus 10% ng amount ng catering contract nio.

Here are the weddings I attended at Intramuros:

1. Prep: Diamond Hotel / Church: Malate Church / Reception: Baluarte de San Diego
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE VENUE: The hotel was of course perfect for pictorial, although hotels are generally strict with check-outs. The Church has the old vibe, making it more romantic. The reception was picturesque too. You only have to watch out for the weather since you might need to rent tents.

2. Prep: Manila Hotel / Church: San Agustin Church / Reception: Patio Victoria
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS WEDDING: It was a December wedding, so Manila Hotel had the Christmas decors which made it perfect for pictorial. Who wouldn't want to get married at San Agustin? Very grand altar and long aisle. Patio Victoria has many mini-patios inside and you can choose which court you want. The hard part was the parking area.

Other reception venues you may want to check:
1. Casa Manila
2. Casa Marinero
3. Clamshell Tent
4. Puerta Real Gardens

Sis, yung friend ko 2 suite yung kinuha dun, one for the bride (and family) and groom (and family). Ang alam ko immediate lang yung nag-overnight sa kanila, I guess hindi naman ma-checheck ng hotel admin kung ilan papatulugin nyo, wag lang sobrang obvious if sobrang dami talaga. Sa food naman, hindi ata sila strict kasi nagpadeliver lang sila noon sa fastfood.

Yep! the preps were done sa Diamond din. Wala naman sumita samin. hehe! I think sa bride's room andun [textspeak!] 2 mothers, female entou (nasa 7 yata), plus flower girls (with parents pa!). Dun na inayusan. Dun din kasi sa loob yung portrait pictorial ng bride.

Hi! I would like to ask kung meron kayong idea for Filipiniana Theme set up for Reception? Gusto ko sana bumalik sa panahon ni Jose Rizal mga bisita ko Sa Manila Cathedral ang ceremony and Casa Blanca ang reception. Thanks!

^Hi sis, what a nice concept. Especially if game yung mga guests nyo. You can ask your guests to come in their Filipiniana outfits. You can hand Spanish "abaniko" fans for your ninangs, and for other guests, you may give out the anahaw fans. For your centrepieces, you may have capiz shells, sinamay decors, banig box souvenirs and others .  Of course Filipiniana outfits are a little bit tricky as some will probably think of wearing the Terno, so it may be better to inform your guests to be in their best Baro't saya outfit, and for the guys in Barong suits, otherwise they might come in their camisa de chino hehe. I came across Patio Victoria and Casa Manila in Intramuros when I was still searching for my reception venue. I want a classic look on my reception since I wanted a classic theme for my wedding. Sad, I wasn't able to held my reception in Manila area since all our immediate families and relatives came from Caloocan and Quezon City. I liked more the Casa Manila since the athmosphere there would really throw you back to Spanish Era. But as for space, it would be in favor of Patio Victoria. But mind you sisses, Patio Victoria is more of Garden or Outdoor venue.

Hi, sis! You might also want to consider PICC. They have several halls & may newly renovated one for the APEC called Summit Hall. But sole caterer is Via Mare. Medyo busy lang sila until makaraos ng APEC so medyo anxious ako until then. Buffet starts at 1,420/pax for 250 inclusive of venue, tax & sc. They could adjust din if mas konti kayo. Easy parking at the back although not free. Look for Vianca in Marketing HTH!

We had our wedding preps and reception at The Bayleaf in December 2012.  My church was San Sebastian.  Maaga kami nagbook kaya three rooms ang nakuha ko for my husband and my family, plus my bridal suite.  Okay ang food nila.  Okay ang account officer ko si Kaye.  We reserved for 170 heads pero 135 lang ang dumating kahit na nagRSVP silang pupunta (mga l3c*he) hehe..  Nakuha ko rin freebie yung bridal car, which is a Chrysler C300 then.  Ang di ko lang nagustuhan sa kanila is hindi kasama sa naiuwi namin yung pagkarami-raming dessert na sumobra.  I informed the account exec and we were referred sa kitchen - which never responded back.  Pero all in all, okay ang The Bayleaf - food, accessibility, parking (with a fee ha).  Kaya ako naghotel kasi PWD ang mom ko.  It isn't convenient for her sa outdoor setup.
